  1. looks like some sort of detent lever spring??????
  2. about 2 years ago they came out with a tiny little one that bolted right onto the rear master cylinder. They discontinued them when they had a bunch of problems. So as it said on the site, there is nothing available yet.
  3. I would find out specifics before buying the carbs, thats not even really enough info for us to be able to tell you much of anything.
  4. chatter happens when the piston isn't big enough for the bore. So it wont seize at all unless you run hot or without enough fuel (oil). The noise is caused by the piston tilting in the bore and chattering.
  5. my cousins 4mill chatters.
  6. I wonder how much I can get for a terd on ebay??????
  7. Theres one in my buddies 4mill, it shifts real nice. It comes with bearings on the ends of it.
  8. Cascade is making the 2 into 1 also.
  9. Should be fine, I know a couple builders that set motors up that way.
  10. Well yeah, but you can do just about anything to either one with the right tools and machinery. I know this guy named Bob Krueger, he has an LT500 on methanol with an airshifter, he builds LT250R stuff too.
  11. True, the other thing is the 1987 LT250R had a huge intake with a giant reed cage. They have the makings of being quite a ripper if built right. I want to put a Banshee engine in a Quadzilla chassis. Big cushy boat with RELIABLE power. My LT500 is a bastard sometimes.
  12. To make a good trail quad your gonna need two things: New shocks and Bottom end. This is what is done to my bike, and it makes a ton of torque and mid power. Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe with ultra quiet silencer. Dynoport Port job.(yes dynoport does port work for the 2 into 1 pipe). 2 into 1 trinity intake with 35mm pwk and K&N pod filter (you may want to run an airbox though) Stock reed cages with carbon tech low-mid reeds. Flywheel lightened. (rs heavier magnet flywheel). Cascade Heavy duty clutch kit. +4 timing advanced. Pro design head with 20cc domes on 92 octane pump gas (155 psi comp). 13/46 gearing. Wiseco Pro lite pistons. I ride the sand, but I guess my next purchase will be front shocks. My birthday is coming up though....HEHE....HONEY?
  13. I dont ever do a compression test without running the bike and warming it up first. When I pulled the stock pistons out they had zero blow by on the ring lands.
  14. You know you wanna put pipes on it!
  15. I would run a 20cc dome, that will be ok for 92 octane. Depending on elevation it will get you anywhere from 155-169 psi compression most likely.
  16. Here ya go. IMS ROLL design chrome one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/The-Real-Ya...1QQcmdZViewItem
  17. Thats a steal.........For him! :yelrotflmao:
  18. Do us a favor, after you break it in and run a tank or two through it check the compression again and see where it is at.
  19. Last I heard about 1.5 years ago they discontinued them and recalled them do to failures they were having. I dont think they are even listed on Mattoons site anymore either. Mattoon Machine Link
  20. I buy all mine at Rocky mountain and save a bunch of money. I just buy a bunch of 16oz castor 927 bottles and dump one in the race can for every 5 gallons of gas (44:1).
  21. I had my stock pipes on ebay, no one bought them but a guy emailed me after the auction ended and asked how much I wanted to ship them to florida. I told him $34 and he took the deal. I made about $10 over the shipping costs. Better than having them in the shop and it just feels like a waste to throw them away.
  22. I wouldn't put dual base gaskets under it, he probably had it ported if he put a 4mill in it, it should already be at the height that the builder wants.
  23. How about a removable sub frame? Or an axle and all the hubs on it?
  24. An o-ring kit is $20.00! My old boss at the jet ski shop used to cut o-rings to length and then super glue them together and put them in with anerobic sealer. He was a really smart old school Kawasaki guy that was the service manager before I took over the shop.
  25. Hmmm, well that is not true. Stock I brought the bike home, put a cool head on it and started it, once warm I checked the compression with a mac gauge. Compression was 165 psi in both holes with 20cc domes. Ran it a summer and checked it again warm just before I took it apart to get ported and it was 157 psi both holes. Had the bike ported and reassembled with wiseco pistons, ran it and checked it 162 psi both holes. Ran it for a weekend and checked it last saturday warm and it is 155 psi in both holes now. Dont even tell me the rings are seated, I know they are.
