hiper beedlock removal?
differentstrokes replied to peterlocal22's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hey Peter, I have hipers too. The hipers are just like any other single beadlock, you need to break the bead on the inside of the wheel. I would just take them to any tire store or place that changes tires and tell them that you need the tire dismounted. They'll pop the bead loose for you for a few bucks I'm sure. You can work the tire off yourself in a couple minutes with a tire iron or large screwdriver. -
Any kind of 3M adhesive backed stickers/decals will work, but you will need to perforate (cut or punch holes throughout them so they can breathe). You can use a hole punch but it might take you awhile or some vinyl and graphics or pinstripe places can cut holes for you. Try a custom decal place like Quadspeed, they might be able to help but it will be pricey. I've had the same problem finding decals w/ my old banshee's IMS tank and my 450R's tank decals since both of them "sweat". Hope this helps.

Thanks, I thought they came out pretty good myself. I just wanted some decent gains without going all out and these ran really strong.

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
differentstrokes replied to differentstrokes's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Sorry, I sold them yesterday. -
I have a very nice 661 adult large pressure suit and thor force knee guards for sale. Both are in excellent shape, the pressure suit has total coverage - shoulders, back, chest, elbows, forearms, and a kidney belt built into it. It's also really light and easy to move in. The knee guards are in great shape and will fit just about anyone. $100 shipped takes both or $80 shipped for the pressure suit and $30 for the kneeguards

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
differentstrokes replied to differentstrokes's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Yeah, these don't have a splitter. They are dual lines from the master cyl. all the way down and use a longer banjo bolt for the master cyl. (banjo bolt and all crush washers come with it). -
I have a brand new set of stainless steel braided brake lines. These are universal dual line brake lines and are brand new in the package. They measure 52 inches, so they will fit all kinds of atvs. Measure your lines if interested, but they should fit stock and plus arms with no problems. $50 shipped

What..... A..... Hick.......

We sound like hicks in the South, no doubt. Northerners sound like they talk through their noses. This guy is from Kentucky, his accent is actually pretty normal there. I think people that aren't from the South have a tendency to label all people ignorant when they hear an accent. -
I don't know about the stage 3 porting, but I did the stage 2 porting myself. Is the stage 3 way more aggressive? Here's a few shots of my intake ports.

Try www.quadpartsguy.com They should have everything you need.

Oops, I meant compared to full suspension work. These make a big difference, I rode yesterday and I'm not sore like I usually am and I didn't get arm pump or anything. They're also really nice when you bottom out on jumps, you can feel them soaking up the shock. Definitely worth the $275. Parts are also replaceable if you happen to brake something small too.

detonation in left cylinder?
differentstrokes replied to thesheerider's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Also check your carb manifolds and gaskets for any leaks, does it backfire out of that side? -
I didn't think about the YFZ arms when I posted before (for some reason I was thinking of my old ASR arms), I don't think yours will work with trx shocks either way you turn them. You've probably come to that conclusion, but I think they could be used with +1 forward arms since they are positioned different (reservoirs pointed forward). Here's a pic of some ASR +2+1 arms on my old Banshee, notice how the uppers are out farther. The reservoirs would probably clear on arms like these, but not many others.

I second that on the 175 main and 3rd clip/48 pilot. I think it will still be rich, but better to start off rich and work your way down. -
Nerf bars won't save you like a boot, what happens when your foot comes off the back of the peg and drags your shin down the peg before running your leg over with the back tire...that would suck. I think boots and helmets are two things people shouldn't skimp on. What's a bunch of money saved for mods from buying cheap boots going to do for you if you're hurt and can't ride. I take care of my body first, atv last. JMO

IMS 5.6 in natural...yeah, it's huge.

Scotts look like a really nice product, but GPR can be adjusted on the fly (it's on the bars) and Precision also has 3 way adjustment (center and side to side, plus high and low speed dampening). I say Precision because all the top pro mxer's run them now, they've only been out a few years and the majority have made the switch. Check all of the sponsors lists for pro atv riders and you'll see. Isn't Scotts with Ohlins also? Just wondering because Ohlins does make really nice stuff. If you compare Elka and Scotts side by side you'll also notice that they're very close in design.

LTR shocks are alot longer than most shocks, probably to long for a Banshee. The TRX shocks are really, really good. You can have them modded by GT Thunder for around $360 and they will respring, revalved, and modify the shafts to gain 7/8" more travel, with all this done they are amazing. I've had mine done by them, front and rear. As far as the adjustments on them, they only have rebound (at the bottom) and compression (at the top with the reservoir). Of course you can adjust ride height with the springs. On a stock 450R, I'm told the shocks are factory valved for 220lbs and the springs are a single rate of 160lbs through the entire stroke. These are also manufactured by Showa incase you were wondering. These can also be turned with no problems, I've seen a few 250r's that have them turned to clear aftermarket radiator shrouds. Hope this helps.

Toomey's should fit, I know a guy that ran T-5 headpipes and LRD silencers with no trouble. Should work the other way around too.
