  1. I've had ASR arms in the past and the arm itself wasn't to bad, but the heims seemed to wear fast even though I made a point to keep them clean and lubed. Even though my heims stayed intact, I'd go with standard balljoints if I had to do it all over.
  2. That's the damn truth, a guy down the street has an 86 and I about killed myself on it numerous times.
  3. I have a set of front and rear OEM blue fenders off of a 2004 Banshee. These are in decent condition, but have scratches and stress marks around the curves. There are NO CRACKS! These have some type of superman graphics that were on them when I got them, but I can remove these if someone buys them and wants me to do so. I need these out of the garage so I will accept any reasonable offers. I've attached a pic of the fronts, the rears are in similar shape and I am willing to separate.
  4. Glad it worked out for you, I bought a 250R stem from them last year and luckily I got it quick. Did they send you a t-shirt too?
  5. Wow, I can't believe it weighs 405lbs with an aluminum frame. My KTM is in the 350+lb range and the frame is chromoly. I definitely like the looks of all the YFZ's and I'm sure the power is there just like all the others.
  6. You can compare the pictures in the carb diagram section to your carb or if it has them, match up the numbers on the side right above the float bowl... http://sudco.com/
  7. Oury's make a nice grip for casual riding, but if you do any competitive racing you will regret the fatter grips due to the major arm pump they cause. :ermm:
  8. Moose or MSR gear for me since they make alot of stuff for XC. My current boots are Fox Forma's but the next set will be Alpinestars Tech 8's or 10's. I also have a couple pairs of Smith Warp goggles with the roll-off system on them.

  11. If you're racing in the woods, get the 450.
  12. Spider A3's.
  13. I've got a new full set of decals in white from www.motodecals.com that I don't need, $12 shipped if anyone is interested. Pictures can be found on the site under banshee decals.
  14. You've got Tech3's. The CF1's have a carbon fiber center section and Tech3's have the billet center, with Tech3's being the stronger version. For anything other than sand, I'd recommend the Tech3's. The Tech3 warranty is better too.
  15. What about using some thread tape or even some Yamabond on the threads to see if it seals it up enough to pump them? Just an idea even though the thread tape might not hold up to prolonged contact with the brake fluid, but the Yamabond would probably work somewhat.
  16. Jay, on my mity vac you snap a plastic fitting over the bleeder valve and then pump it until you start drawing fluid through it into the catch cup thing. Is this the same type of mity vac you're talking about? If so, I usually draw about 2 inches worth of fluid into the cup to get all of the air out and then repeat one more time. Just make sure you start the suction before you open the bleeder and then make sure you keep the suction on until the bleeder is completely closed. As long as you do that and keep the fluid level up in the reservoir, you should be fine.
  17. Hey, I saw that thread and that thing looks damn good! That's my kind of bike! I've been coming around the site some since I'm completely going through a 04 banshee right now for a friend. I'll post a few pics of it when it's done, just a nice clean recreational build.
  18. I agree. I've had both and the 250R is a fun bike, but if you really want a trail or strictly woods bike I would suggest a 4 stroke. The banshee is hard to beat as far as fun factor goes, though.
  19. I've got one on my KTM, works great and doesn't stretch or stick like a standard clutch cable. Change the fluid every year for a couple dollars and you're good to go.
  20. I like just about any X-ring chain (Regina, RK, Primary Drive), but I definitely prefer a gold chain regardless of brand since they seem to resist rusting better than standard finish chains. The Primary Drive X-ring is hard to beat for the money.
  21. I think I have some rears already lined up, what do you want for just the fronts without tires?
  22. I need a nice set of all 4 stock yamaha rims. Let me know what you have, I'm putting a bike together for a friend and need a reasonably priced set. Thanks in advance!
