  2. I agree, I've had their stuff in the past and currently run their summit bumper and I have no complaints.
  3. A blaster swingarm doesn't use shock linkage and also has different spacing where the frame/motor/swingarm mount together so it won't work.
  4. Man, that was the first thing that came to mind when I read that story.
  5. I personally like Fasst Flexx bars, but if you're in the market for a 7/8" bar checkout the Moose aluminum banshee bend bars. I picked up a set awhile back for a banshee and I was impressed for the $50 they cost. Any Parts Unlimited dealer can order a set.
  6. I'm a fan of wrinkle or textured black.
  7. You can add the reservoirs later, I think they run about $200-220 for the remote type. Any Elka dealer or shock tuner can do it.
  8. What do you have done to your Banshee motorwise? If it's got a decent amount of mods, I think you'll be disappointed in the power you'll get from a stock cylindered 250R. Sure, handling is great on a 250R but you might be better off selling or parting your bike if you have alot of money in it and buying a 250R with an aftermarket cylinder and possibly aftermarket frame.
  9. The standard Elkas worked great for me, definitely better than the triple rate Works I've had that are stiff as can be. If you want reservoirs, just add them later.
  10. All the KTM 450 and 525 XC motors are SOHC, they've also got wider cases than the bikes to fit the reverse gear. The KTM and Polaris Outlaw motors are the same, the difference in power between the two comes from the factory exhaust/intake/ignition that each brand uses and KTM definitely has Polaris beat on those.
  11. I ride XC most of the time so the 525 is perfect for me.
  12. Hey Meat, here's a few...I'll get some better pics in the next couple of days, the quality on most of these sucks pretty bad.
  13. The YFZ revs a little faster and has plenty of snap, but not near as much torque as the others. The KTM and Raptor pull wheelies like crazy! A friend up the road has an 07 Raptor 700SE and it's fairly close to the KTM as far as torque, but not as snappy and doesn't turn as well. The KTM definitely feels lighter and the center of gravity feels alot lower than the Raptor. The YFZ feels nice and low, but I don't like the feeling of slipping up on the tank when I get aggressive. The KTM is faster through all parts of the powerband than both of the others. I really like the Raptor for the money. On a side note, the same guy with the Raptor has an LTR and it sucks on the trails in stock form. This is probably because of the width and the mx tires, but I don't care to much for it.
  14. I've ran 2 hare scrambles on it and it definitely is race ready from the factory, but I put a few things on it over the last year out of preference. I've got a set of Hiper beadlocks and Razr2's all the way around, some Fasst Flexx bars, an HMF slip-on (stock headpipe is really good) w/ a JD jet kit, Powermadd handguards w/ wraparounds, ProArmor belly skid, PRM bumper, the Scotts/Ohlins steering damper, some stainless steel mesh oil filters, an 07 Honda throttle and billet extended lever, stock FCR carb modded by Baldwin Racing...I think that's most of it. I'm debating on getting the Ohlins GNCC kit added to the stock shocks and a Rekluse clutch.
  15. They're a great bike! Feel free to pm me with any questions, I've got a 525 in the garage.
  16. I personally like the ergos on the raptor a little better, the yfz is nice but feels like your sitting on top of the bike and the raptor tank gives you the feeling of being down in the bike. The raptor is definitely more of a trail bike, but the yfz handles business on the track.
  17. It's just a cover that doesn't give you access to clutch or internals so there is no need to drain anything, all you have to do is remove the 3 screws and it will come off and simply screw the other cover back on.
  18. I did the same thing, opened it this past Wednesday and beat the game on Saturday. The key to the races for me was changing the sprocket gearing and learning the shortcuts on a few tracks. I won the majority of the game with the 250r.
  19. Get some roll-off goggles if you don't already have some, handguards with Moose or MSR "elephant ears" over them are a good idea too. For the radiator, try several layers of screen door material cut in rectangle sheets taped over the outside. Make sure you tape them in a way that you can pull each one of them off as they get packed with mud.
  20. Yeah, kind of sad cause he was a good player.
  21. I got an Xbox 360 and a few games for early x-mas/anniversary so I've been playing the crap out of "Pure".
  22. My buddy that I do the majority of my riding with is on a 416ex and it is competitive against any 450 in the woods.
