  1. I won't even put 87 in my weedeater, I just use all the leftover 93 and 927 oil from when I ran pump gas.
  2. Do you need a shorter shift lever with them? I like that bumper too, I run the same one and everyone on the site was hammering them saying they looked like crap.
  3. Everything proarmor makes is top notch stuff, I've got their mx bumper on my 450R. I'll probably order one of their skids for my banshee real soon also. I like how they flare up to protect the frame and front of the cases/motor.
  4. I would think a 35mm would do the trick, I think a 38mm is for more big bores and drag. I've got 35mm and it's great.
  5. You don't have the lonestar locknut? You don't have to worry about tightening it near as much since it has pinch bolts to keep it from working loose. But like everyone said, just loctite it and forget it.
  6. Just put some spider grips on mine the other day, they feel awesome.
  7. Had a great transaction with dajogejr, he made everything perfect from start to finish. Couldn't ask for a better seller. Jared
  8. I run the honda trans oil in mine right now too, flows really good and lasts also.
  9. Yeah, Dave hooked me up cheap. I've got some rox risers on my bars already too, anyway, call Inland ATV (909)478-7717 and ask them if they can beat it. I bet they will.
  10. I've been around 2 different ones, seen several others too. Not nearly as reliable as a banshee or 250r. A guy I work with had an 88 and said he traded his banshee for it, both were stock but he claims the banshee wouldn't touch the zilla. Very big and bulky also. Fenders are huge, both front and rear. Has a very deep sound and doesn't whine like the banshee, I guess since it doesn't rev out like the shee. I know 87 was the first year, I think 90 or 91 was the last...I know the earlier ones were powervalved, but I want to say the last year or two weren't or were slower for some reason. I know most people want the 87-88's and I think it's for that reason, but I may be wrong. A guy I know has an 87 sitting in a shop up the road and I thought about buying it and going through it but it doesn't run, the frame is bent near the front bumper and the case it cracked where the rear mount bolt goes through. I know where another sits that is mint but needs a rebuild (doesn't have any compression when you kick it over and the guy wants $3,000). I'd like to have one to mess with anyway, faster or slower than the banshee it's a piece of quad history.
  11. born in ft. walton beach...lived in homestead when I was young...dad's originally from crestview...grandmother lives in niceville still...go noles! ...I'm stuck in Alabama. Anything goes when it comes to quads here though, if your household doesn't have one you're the minority.
  12. I always liked the look of those boots, they kind of look like Alpinestars Tech 10's. I've got Fox Forma's right now and they felt broke in from the beginning, I think boots should be kind of stiff for the best protection. Nice boots, though.
  13. Right now I'd say you're somewhere between 45 and 50, with the other mods...maybe just above 60. I don't think you'll break 65 without more compression from a head (shaved or domes) and maybe some racegas.
  14. If I was single I'd be going all Dennis Rodman on 'em and get some REBOUNDS!
  15. Mine was the same way the last time I had my cover off and the quad only had maybe 30 hours on it. The bearing didn't spin really easy, but it didn't stick either. No problems here as far as overheating or anything. Was the bearing pretty dry when you checked it? Run it I guess, if it overheats you know whats up :: . If you want to replace it get one from the dealer, they can get most anything in 2 days so you won't be down for to long.
  16. Hey, I'll pm you about the tank. I have the airbox now also, so I'm just in the market for a tank if anyone else reads this thread.
  17. I can't really comment on the Trinity pipes, but I ran T-6's before my current pipes and I was very impressed. I think Toomey's fit and finish/ overall quality is great on the T-6's, I don't know how Trinity's can really be much better. I'd go with the T-6's in your case, plus Toomey also has great customer service everytime I've ordered something else or talked to the tech.
  18. I actually have the filter/outerware and adapter plate now, I just need a box and lid. If you want to part with just the box and lid by any chance pm me. Anyone else that has a box and lid hit me up. Jared
  19. Honestly, who sniffs their gas or exhaust and thinks to themselves, OMG that smells good? Yeah, I don't try to smell it either. I usually try to give all my exhaust to whoever I'm riding with. Scented...for their pleasure. :woot:
  20. I know people that swear by soaking them in WD-40 too, I guess that's kind of like the motor oil idea.
  21. You should be fine without the sealer, the paper gaskets absord the premix so they usually don't leak once they swell some. I personally don't use any sealer on my 2 stroke gaskets.
  22. I need a stock airbox and lid pretty cheap. I don't need a filter or carb boots, just the box and lid. Let me know what you've got. Thanks
  23. Most of the mods you wanted to do or have done already are in my signature, your bike will be really similar to mine other than me having a gytr cdi instead of a timing plate. As far as porting goes, I did my own too with some porting templates from racelogic and it was easy and also works great for my style. The templates are in great shape and have instructions, if you're interested I'll let them go for $30 shipped if you decide to go that route.
  24. The kit comes with needles too, I'd personally just buy the pipes by themselves and get a few jets from the dealer...the filter they give you is a stock replacement and won't seal up right with the lid off. Get a proflow setup or some clampon's and at least some 300 mains.
