Nice tank, I'm thinking about getting a white one but I'm wondering how long it will take before it changes colors from the gas. How do you like that steering stem? I see Burgard's stuff around but haven't heard any feedback on it.

First big ride on new banshee
differentstrokes replied to Duke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hey Duke, welcome to the HQ. The land in your pics looks alot like the riding here in Northern Alabama. Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia...it's all good, the trails are awesome. -
where would i be able to get

Okay, I lied. I went to the dealer today to get a gasket and some engine ice and they didn't have MTL80w, so I bought the Honda 80-85w tranny oil in the red bottle since my cases are bone dry and won't mix with anything. Definitely my next choice of oil since it's an 80-85w but flows like a super thin oil. Probably flows a lot better than MTL, but I can't knock the stuff since it's never given me trouble. Try it too.

www.esr250.com Eddie Sanders Racing, anodized colors and everything else you could possibly want that's billet too. Check it out. Jared -
I've got 1 new headgasket for a stock head and a waterneck gasket for the head also, these came in my vito's piston kit and I'm running a nosshead so I don't need them. I'll trade for anything worthwhile and small, maybe some plugs or oil. Let me know what you've got. Jared

does this make that big of a diffrence
differentstrokes replied to trueraiderfan's topic in Product Reviews
Yeah, stick with the 110 until you can run a compression test. You don't even have to know the dome size since it will give different compression at different altitudes. A compression test is a tell all for your gas worries and should be the first thing you do. -
If you're at 155psi I would maybe mix 100 and 91-93 pump gas at the most. I don't think you would benefit much from it, but you could give it a try. If anything, the leaded race gas would give a little more lubrication for the motor but I doubt you would notice a difference in power.

I've got the 2's and they seem to work really well, I'd keep the 2's and buy some replacement petals now if that's what you're worried about. I don't have any experience with the 3's, but everyone else seems to think the 2's are fine.

I haven't raced one on my banshee, but I have beat one on my 450R. They're pretty quick in a straight line, but that's about it...really heavy and the seat height is up there.

Try LRD's, they'll fit T-5's. The silencer is bigger than Toomey's so they hold more packing and they also have turndown tips. :thumb:

Yeah, what he said.

Jetting for Trinity 2 to 1
differentstrokes replied to banshee364's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I had the same question and bansheeseat$$ told me to call Tim at Cascade Innovations which I did yesterday, I'd recommend the same to you. This guy knows his stuff with 2 into 1's, he's probably your best bet since Trinity seemed like they didn't want to help me to much with mine. JMO -
Does anyone fabricate light bars or mounts
differentstrokes replied to differentstrokes's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I know I want one, make a thread to check for interest and I'm sure you can get a few more. -
I have a brand new set of hella 500's I need to mount up and would like to buy a light bar like ricky stator's duner bar or possibly a baja bar if it's reasonable. I really don't want to use just the stock mounts since they'll bend. Somebody has to have what I need, let me know if you know who makes them or if you have one to sell. I know it's not the wanted section.

Keihin 35mm PWK air screw question
differentstrokes replied to differentstrokes's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I'm one of the little motor guys, I running a trinity cv with 35mm. Just one carb here, I haven't jetted it yet either since I'm missing something. I called alba yesterday and they said sudco has a $50 minimum so it would be monday until they had an order big enough to get my stuff with since it's so small. -
As far as a do-all bike I think they're great, but in stock form they're pretty mild. The aftermarket made the 250R what it is. I don't think a fairly stock bike is going to creep up on a modded banshee unless the guy can't ride, but handling is a different story. I don't really see many anymore, most Honda guys have swapped them out for 450R's.

Keihin 35mm PWK air screw question
differentstrokes replied to differentstrokes's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Thanks for the link Kai, what I'm needing is #18 according to the diagram. Looks like just a spring, I'll call sudco and make sure there's no o-ring. -
I bought a used 35mm keihin carb awhile back and I haven't used it yet but went through it while cleaning and added new vent lines, throttle cable, jets, blah blah blah. Anyway, any carb I've ever took apart has had an o-ring and spring on the air screw but this one doesn't and it feels a little loose when turning like it should have one. Just wanted to make sure it had what it needed before I crank my bike since I finished my rebuild and want everything to run smooth. Any info would be appreciated. Jared

I've never been on a 660 before, but I've rode with them several times. I'm a fan of the 450's myself, but the raptors look good. I've heard of them being real tippy though, I think their wheelbase/width is real close to a banshee's but the seat height is higher. I've also always heard just about anyone could ride one because the power is smooth. Probably ideal if you rode tight woods or any other slower riding.

The rec series shocks are great, I've got a set of dual rates and they blow the stock ones away. For rear shock work you can go with just about anyone, but derisi racing and gt thunder are the first that come to mind. A shock revalve and respring will probably run you anywhere from $250-300. Just check around, most work will be about the same on a stock rear no matter who does it. I don't know much about lobo stuff, but check with them too.

Riding area in Morris Alabama?
differentstrokes replied to dirttrack25's topic in Riding and Events Forum
The area you're talking about is private land, everyone just shows up to ride. It's an awesome place to ride, there's even a pit to play in. I'll pm you... -
That's the freakin' john holmes of air filters.

I don't think the extra weight will make much difference on sprocket wear if you use steel sprockets. Your tires probably aren't much, if any heavier than stock radials so I wouldn't worry about it much. It would be hard for anyone to know for sure how your setup will work since rider bodyweight comes into play too. As far as your speed, if you can't tell by riding it you can always use a GPS. I don't drag, so I'm not worried about top speed and usually go by feel for trails and playing around. Trial and error I guess.
