  1. Once you start lookin around in there you kinda forget why you went there in the first place. I did manage to vote for the right one, although it took some self control
  2. Happy Birthday Lee!
  3. Turnin the BIG 30 this year.
  4. Yeah it does... More oil = less fuel per part of air, less fuel is lean. Less oil = more fuel per part of air so richer. Sounds weird I know.
  5. That's awsome you got it fixed and for that price at a dealer . Like everyone else I'd like to know if that was really it, but I guess it just isn't meant to be. Anyway, congrats... no go tear shit up!
  6. If you let someone touch your motor and it causes it to "blow up" the wrong person is touching it in the wrong way!
  7. If it has the same top end from 99, I'd put a new top end in her regardless of what it looks like. Better to be safe than sorry.
  8. ATF type F
  9. That's a sorta cool little guage you got there, but my question is why? I don't see why knowing what gear you are in is worth all that. I know when I need to shift up or down and I do it. What # the gear is really doesn't much matter. Either way, it's your bike if you like it than . Doesn't sound like it will be all that hard for you to hook it up.
  10. I've heard this before. I knew a guy who thought since the 360 in his ford was bored .030 over when he had it rebuilt that he now has a 390
  11. Welcome to the HQ I don't think your jetting sounds that far off from where you should be. You can try doing a plug chop and see, But I don't think that's it. I'd tear your carbs apart, clean the shit outa them, make sure your jets arent clogged, put fresh gas in it, change your plugs. See what that does for you.
  12. Noss has o rings that go on each stud too. I just put new o rings on mine yesterday.
  13. I think the real question here is: What does the room mate look like?
  14. ^^^ What he said. For the price of those mods you could buy a truck and keep the shee.
  15. I'm stuck in alsaka, The ice is getting to thin for ice fishing, but there's no open water. What ya gonna do?
  16. Looking good . I'd go ahead and lose those front fenders though.
  17. Trout prefer cold water. I used to live in Northern Cali. we'd fish year round for trout. In the winter we ice fished. I don't remember when the creeks and rivers open up there, but I'm thinking it was this month.
  18. How often do you guys who run bel ray gear saver change it? I change my atf all the time, but that bel ray shit is $$$
  19. PM Jeff from F.A.S.T. (fastoys on here) he'll be more than happy to help you out with advice, parts or whatever you need.
  20. I use ATF type F and change it very frequently. But at a buck somethin a quart, you can afford to have fresh fluid in your tranny all the time.
  21. Yep, they give you more clearance for larger carbs. Otherwise, save your money
  22. Maybe you should line him up with Elison's kid
  23. To start with what mods do you have? By sand are you talking riding the dunes with paddles? Either way unless you are pretty well built I would say that's too high. I run 15-41's. Works well for me. I run mostly fire road type stuff, but a little of everything. I've got toomey pipes, filter, timing advance, and noss head. If I went to the dunes, or frequently rode tight trails I'd gear mine down lower. Hope that helps
  24. Glad to hear we have another infected addict . Lightening you flywheel with allow your shee to rev faster, and get into it's power range quicker. I've been planning on getting mine done, I just haven't got around to doing it. Everyone who has done it says it's a great mod. PM boonman on here. He has done many of the HQ member's flywheels for them for a good price. He can tell you about it better than I can.
