  1. That's what you call a real sleeper!
  2. Happy birthday man...
  3. Where on the piston is it pitted? What size domes are you running, at what elevation, with what oct. fuel, and what other mods?
  4. That's sweet! Deffinatly post some picks
  5. You said it only does it when it has been sitting for a while, do you turn your gas off when you park it? Kinda simple, but you never know
  6. Well at least it will be sweet when it's all done.
  7. Someone should pin this
  8. Try searching, there's a thread on breaking it in going in "General Discussion" right now
  9. It's great to hear you got it back. Even if it is F'd up, at least shee's home. The sad thing is those guys probably won't get shit for what they did unless they can link them to more thefts in the area. Well at least we can still hope for capital punishment
  10. Your idle adjustment screws are the ones on top of the carbs. Make sure you re sync your carbs though if you go screwing around with them.
  11. I could be all jacked up but I clean my uni filter in gas, it cleans the oil off real well, and evaporates off real quick . I use maxima foam filter oil on it.
  12. If you have the cash to buy some elkas then go for it. I'm not saying the 450's would be better than them, I thought you were trying to save cash. As far as what pipe to get, thats really a matter of preference. Different pipes have their own charictoristics (sp?). I have toomey, they are a more top end pipe. FMF seems to be a good all around pipe with more lower mid range, people seem to agree that the craftsmanship of the fmf's is a little lower, however they work very well. PT mids are expensive, but a popular woods pipe, and I've heard people say the PT high revs are actually a better all around pipe (not sure though). Once you get to CPI's and sheerers you are looking at drag pipes. They are more of a higher rpm pipe. I personally wouldn't wory about the J arms. I'd just start pending money on the one you have. The HQ is a great place for information, and after you stick around for a while you will notice you spend entirely too much time staring at these damn forum pages.
  13. If it doesn't already have them you need some aftermarket pipes and new air filter system, first. As far as cheap front shocks, a lot of people seem to be picking up yfz450 shocks on e-bay etc. and making those fit. E-bay is a good place to pick up parts, you can also check the for sale section in here too. There is usually a lot of good deals. If money is tight look for a used set of pipes, but pipes are a must. Is this bike all F'ed up? If not I see no reason to buy a new one. It would be cheaper to put your money into this one. Just my .02 Oh yeah, have fun! and welcome to the HQ
  14. Kinda funny someone brought back this thread right now. People talk all day long on here about what they want to do to their shees, well this thread was big red saying he wanted cubs and who just got cubs?
  15. If I were you I'd pay an expert to port you bike for you. If you screw it up you'll be out a lot more than $8. Besides if it's such a good port job, why do they show pictures of the sides of some cylinders rather than showing the ports?
  16. Follow the tubes and find out where they go Are you talking about the drain tubes that run off the bowls and down to the bottom of the bike? They connect to nothing
  17. Talk to your vet. If he says he'll do it, let him. If he says no, leave them alone. It's not real cheap to have them done, but at least the person doing it is a pro and can dope him up, not to mention stop the bleeding if he did cut a vein or something
  18. Compliments to RED on his information. It's great he's trying to help everyone out. Can someone delete or at least move chases comments though? BIGRED put so much effoert into making a "how to" thread for everyone and you have chase poping up every other post. Just a thought, good goin BIGRED, nice to see someone thinking of others
  19. Any refusal of anal penetration or injestion of cum results in a severe bull dozer!
  20. Infantry in US Army. Stationed in Alaska right now.
  21. Now I know why I'm in the army and not the air force! I suck.
  22. It depends on the angle of your reed spacers in relation to your boost bottle.
  23. I'm sure it's been posted a million times on here, but I just wanted to comment on the awsome service you get from Noss Machine. I PM'd David (DLNOSS) and talked to him about my concerns of running 21cc domes with +4 timing on 90 oct. (best pump gas we have here). He agreed it was kinda in the questionable area, so he made me up some 21.4cc domes so that I could run the 90 oct. with out having to worry or step down to 22's. The quality and craftsmanship of the product is top notch too! I highly reccomend this head to anyone concidering another brand.
