i had one of those extreme duneable overide tranmissions that i had to do that with. when in neutral, the shift detent peg would not rest fully centered between the points on the shift star. i had to put in gear so that it would rest, centered between the shift star points to adjust the shifter. make sense, is that what you are refering to?

A stocker with all the bolt on stuff will run decent with a set of inframe CPIs. You wont get the full potential of that pipe without some portwork but it will run pretty decent.

Not a compromise at all unless you are talking stretching it more than 6 over. Just my opinion though.

How are you carbs set up? Are they in sync. Are they clean? Assuming you should have powerjets, are they opened the same?

how are you going to using this bike? i would go the 4mill route (with 115 rods instead of the 110) and plan on adding a clutch and possibly a bit more swingarm to your list.

The yamaha service manual shows the o-ring also. There is no mention of its purpose. I have also looked on bikebandit in their microfiche and they do not offer a repacement on that o-ring leading me to believe that it comes with a new basket/primary assembly. I have changed out clutch baskets in both my banshees and do not recall that o-ring. The only purpose i can think of is maybe to keep oil out of the cushions? Or maybe its there to help quiet the oem clutch assembly in conjunction with the o-rings that reside with the fibers and steels. Id run what you have.

there are (2) thrust washers. one goes on before the basket and the other goes on after the basket and before the inner hub.

you are about 30~40 minutes out then. be safe and get home in one piece.

That would be the la dunes. Come on over to ms at sandhillatv near wiggins. I am not sure how far out you are but i know there are a lot of la people that we ride with. Its well worth a trip out.

More paddle will get you out the hole quicker but you will probably have to gear it down to launch it in second gear.

Do you know anyone that would let you try some diffrent paddles? they are very expensive. I would try some 14 extremes in a 72~74 ish rollout. How is your bike geared?
