  1. Im i raise the clip to to make it leaner, will it mess with my main jet and make it lean too ?
  2. Yes it runs amazing up top, but nothing done low, it just acts like u let the choke on, but it not. I have a 250r and its like a four stroke down low, but this banshee is driving me nuts.
  3. Just put new reeds in it . The main jet is fine ive done plug chops,little rich but nothing crazy.
  4. Yes i have a 2004 banshee it has HJR mx hardcore porting, 65 mm pistons, 4 mill stroker 5 mill long rod, DMC alien pipes, 34mm keihin PJ carbs, no airbox, +4 timing . HJR said 158 main, 48 pilot, and needle on 3rd clip. This thing just has no and i mean no bottom end, and has no throttle response on the bottom end, but runs like crazy on mid and top. It almost feels like the choke is on its that bad on the bottom, ive tryed turning the air screws out, doesnt help, ive tryed the stupid choke/idle things at every postion, and it wont idle. Should i try a smaller pilot or what do u guys thick is wrong with it. Thanks
  5. K i have a 4 mill , 65 mm bore banshee , has MX Hardcore porting from kevin Herr, Has No airbox, and DMC Pipes, timing set at 4 . The problem is i cant get it to quit spurttering on low end, runs fine wide open, but if you let off,and then go to roll back into it it will spurtter , then take off. I have it set like Kevin told me. 158 Main, CEJ Needle middle clip, 48 pilot, 1 1/2 out on air screw, and choke 25 clicks from bottom. Thes carbs r driving me nuts, about to put my stock ones back on
  6. I was thinking about getting into drag racing. The track has a 350 to 385 class. I have a 4 mill mx hardcore ported by herr jugs,stock carbs, stock airbox, DMC pipes i raced last year. I didnt lower it or even take off my skid plates and nerf bars. Its a 500 FT dirt track, BBDR u might of heard of it. The best i could do was 7.5 at 80 MPH, but a coundnt get off the start without riding a wheelie. The guys winning that class run 6.4 at 90MPH.
  7. Thats what i wanted to hear. what carbs and pipes do u have on it.. I allready Have the 4 mill stroke 5 mill long rod crack.
  8. I was wondering if any one has ever built or been around one of these engines. Its a 4 mill with 65mm bore cub . I was just wondering how they run.

  10. I just wanted to add it not really a bog it more like no response. Im pretty sure its lean but what should i try.
  11. I have a 4-mill, mx ported by kevin herr, dmc pipes, 34mm PJs with pods. My question is my banshee fires up pretty easy but when you give it gas it bogs for a couple seconds then runs fine, but also if you keep it below 1/4 throttle for a couple seconds then try to give it gas it seems to have no response just bogs, also i give up on trying to get it to idle. I jetting it to what kevin said, its a 48 pilot, 1.5 out on air screw. and 25 clicks out on the choke.
  12. Just wondering how u guys wash your banshees with pods. What do u put over the end of the carbs?
  13. I put some 34 pjs on my banshee,i used my old throttle cable, it was for the stock carbs without the tors. The problem is i cant seem to get them to open up the whole way.I adjust them to where they open up, and it makes it idle high. Its driveing me crazy.
  14. The compression right around 130, timing at 4 degrees,and i was running 340 mains, 27.5 pilots on the stock carbs. Also running 93 pump gas. Hope this helps
