  1. your new bike may have been jetted for no lid and the previous owner may have just threw it on there prior to sale. you will not know until you dive into those carburetors to see just what size jets are in there. there is a considerable amount of difference when removing the air box lid. what do your plugs look like now that you have been riding without the lid on? You may be lean. id say you should be somewheres in the vacinity of a 300 main jet with aftermarket pipes, k&n and no lid on the air box.
  2. i have heard that if you wrap some rubber bands or dental floss around the top of your scrotum, really tight and leave it like that for maybe a month or longer, that will remove most traces of illegal substances in your system.......
  3. your friend's 700 must have been a p.o.s. the 700r that i had, had no problem keeping up with a stock banshee like yours. it keeping up with a ported banshee is a different story
  4. that is unless you take your dune bike to the track....
  5. i dont have any pictures but, i mounted mine behind the gas tank on a homemade bracket. you can plug the CDI directly into the stator and really shorten your wiring harness....
  6. will you take 50$ ?
  7. how much are you looking to get for just the calipers and the master cylinder? i am interested? david
  8. dont get rid of your dirt tires. lol get travis to take you to the springhill track in north ms. its about 40min from memphis. we all went and had a great time. prowedge2's hook unreal on that track. i wouldnt mind going again and we all can meet up and race some.
  9. so i take it, the 450 calipers are a direct bolt up to the banshee spindles?
  10. you will find, as the rings fully seat, you will gain compression....
  11. maybe it was the thickness of the paddle on the extreme that made the paddles look longer than the haulers.
  12. i have had a set of each. i currently run a sls 12 paddle ripper. i believe the paddles on the haulers are 5/8", the extremes are 7/8" and thicker than the haulers and the rippers are 1 1/8". and yes, my rippers look like small shovels.....
  13. if i remember correctly, my basket came with a new plate and you attach it to the basket with (4) counter sunk, allen head bolts. you should use some red locktite on those bolts for re-assembly. do not re-use the original cushions. it should have come with new cushions. and when removing your oem basket, be careful, there is a conical washer in there that will fall out and it needs to go back in place.... edit: yes there is a sticky here too....http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85373
  14. like most everyone here, except for the amount of stoners and gays that seem to be taking over, i have really enjoyed my banshees over the years. new technology is on the horizon. the four strokes are getting more powerful. i would sell that banshee and "buy a four stroke" .... i would look at a 700 raptor also. they are awesome to trail and dune with. and they too, respond to mods just like the banshee.
  15. i would go with an (8) paddle hauler in a size 21X12X8 on douglas .125's. that is what i had on my old dune/play bike. it was set up similar and did really well shooting hills and duning.
  16. straight cut gears mainly relieve stress of the crank and bearing on the pto side, mainly on HIGH HORSEPOWER engines. you can also get them in different ratios to change your gearing a bit, helps dragging asphalt. i have them in my 4mill cub. was told that i didnt need them and got them anyway for piece of mind. depending upon where are intend to go with your engine, the money you are looking at spending on the straight cut primarys could be better utilized somewheres else.
  17. so you believe everything you see on tv and the internet? i have seen some people act really stupid after smoking that crap. god may have put it on this earth but, the government still says it is ILLEGAL.

    sprockets

For someone that seems to know little about a duneable override and has no experience with them, that is a very good suggestion.... picking out gearing is going to be a bit of hit and miss, depending upon where you are racing. its going to depend on your weight, tire, length of swingarm and so forth.
  19. i have some marvin shaw competition series on the front of mine. they are 12.5" eyelet to eyelet with .5" or adjustment where i can make them 12" long. that lenght will get you low in the front. www.marvinshawshocks.com call them and get them set up for your weight and bike. tim and becky will set you up.......
  20. i thought the grizzlys were in the upper 600lb range. i would wait and look for a used 700 instead of the 660. they are an awesome trail and duner bike and yes, they are a lot easier on the fuel than the banshees. that is untill you go into the engine.
  21. your first picture, that yellow and black wire "feed" the lights. they should plug somewheres into the main harness. judging by the yellow (looks like it was cut for some reason) you will have to hard wire it into the main harness. you will also need to hook the voltage regulator back into the main harness (the blue wires).
  22. did you remember to put the thrust washer on the trans primary shaft before you put the clutch basket on? hmmm....
  23. lmao... go to highlifter.com. i didnt see the tool listed by itself on the website but you could probably call them and order.
  24. i know its hard to even comprehend. instant torque, i tell ya. wasnt that the main topic in this thread?
