  1. maybe its got something to do with the powervalve system... I have no experience with RZ's but 5500 RPM is probly close to the opening of the powervalves. maybe if they open to quick and early the suddent change in exhaust timing would make it bog at steady throttle but if your giving her it would make that transition easier
  2. shearer for sure! they are cheaper too
  3. I think its propane for a trackside BBQ
  4. call a any builder and he should be able to tell you with some mesurements.
  5. thats a typical blown crank seal symptom. monitor your oil in the transmission. if it "disapear" there is your problem
  6. I've made a couple Aluminum widened footpeg grab bar cdi relocation bracket 2" extended steering stem Key relocation bracket
  7. why dont you make your banshee an all around bike? they are a fine machine for that duty too! and it would be the most cost effective as well
  8. I've always just holded the inner hub with my hand and putted the impact to it. never fails. even when its red loctited in!
  9. Ice racing is awesome, we do it every sunday up here. my ice racer is in my sig. btw are those marcel fourniers back tires? look like it. we tryed them this year, will never run anything else anymore! 420+ studs per tires! nice Banshee what does it have for mods?
  10. My bike started acting up last week, it would misfire at high rpm under load, I tought I had a bad plug cause the right plug was wet and the right was nice and dry.I didnt have any spares so I changed that plug during the week and went back this weekend. same problem but now it start earlier in the powerband and the bike is harder to start. my first guess was cdi went bad but i then I thought about the wet left plus and if it was the cdi wouldn't it be a both sides problem? so I took the coil off today and took the plug caps off off it. on the left one the threads that screw in the wire was all rusted the right one's good. so i cutted about 1/4" off the wires brushed the plug cap and all the coil connectors. I'l put it on tomorow and take it for a spin. is there anything else I should check before I go? a bad coil might have caused it too? anybody as something like that appened? I might have to change the plug caps, we'll see. any idea would be appreciated since the bike is in ice racing mode and i hate to take my studded rubber on anything else than a frozen lake :ermm:
  11. I have the magnum one that fast sells. seems like a good product. lots of poeple are running em on High hp cubs all day without any issues. when you buy hinson you just pay for the name imo. they all use the same aluminum and they all use CNC machines. cant go wrong with magnum.
  12. ttt
  13. I have a set of noss domes, 19 cc. will fit noss and pro design head. used one summer. selling because of new stroker motor needing cut domes. 55 shipped pics on request but they look just like cool head domes
  14. Protaper contour or evo's both fat bars. even If i succeeded into bending a set they are still the shit! I dont think any other bar would of survived that flip down the hill into the rocks
  15. I pretty much do all my wheelys in the two last gears. it gets up in 6th any day with 14-41 5 then 6 with a 15 in front. the best ones are the ones in those wide open trail wot 6th gear and you give er on top of a hill weelying the whole way down. thats one thing the four stroke guys will never take away from us... 6th gear wheely's!
  16. mines is in my sig but here is the same pic a little bigger so you can see it better. like the other guys up I made it out of regular aluminum grill. I'm really contemplating buying one of 87sheerips fox racing stainless grills tho... looks so nice
  17. every br8es plugs i've cheked were right on the money. run it like that. trust me you wont run into any issues
  18. +1 vote on the 4 mil LR. might as well do it now. if your thinking about its because you want one. so do it. I did the mistake of getting mine ported for a stock stroke. two years later I was selling my cyl to get new ones for a stroker. waste off time and money but no regrets!
  19. I run 8* advance on all my engines, my 350 drag ported last year and my 4 mil dune port this year. makes a good diference from +4 I always ran strait avgas or 60/40 110/91 with 165 psi in both engines

  22. Grew up in northern NB now Military in Nova-Scotia trails, pits, fireroads, ice racing 01 banshee 99 YZ250 Yamaha forever!
  23. Are you running 35MM pwk on a stock port bike with fatty's?? if so I bet it might be part off your low end problem. your way over carbing the bitch. I wouldnt even run 35's on a stock stroke bike unless you got some major drag port/ drag pipe combo or cubs. but thats just me  might be time for some porting
  24. pro's: power con's: price like any other performance mod. Rule off thumb is 7% more power. it adds displacement in the stroke and makes your motor a little more torquier. since you already have a cool head its just a matter of getting custom domes. talk with your builder and he will steer you in the right direction.
  25. you remove a plug pull the wire off the other one, screw the compression tester in the hole and crank the bike with the throtle wide open until the reading on the gage stop climbing. If your really at 90 PSI your due for a top end Its blown up in my book...
