I'm looking at those on ebay for a friend they are brand new and the price is good, as anybody ever heard of these? here's the description "BRAND NEW RIVA RACING HEADPIPES FOR ALL YAMAHA BANSHEES THESE ARE MADE BY FMF FOR FACTORY RIVA RACE TEAM ONLY 2 SETS LEFT. I just bought a set of +3+1 from them, I was looking at getting a-arms for quite some time now and wicked was one of the company's i was cheking out, A friend of mine just bought a yfz that has some wicked on. Quality is awesome his are red and the pc looks top notch, my other friend got some walsh's Lt and the wicked's looks just as good. and their customer service is great really good comunications replyed quick with all the answers. cant wait to get mine in!!
  3. There is a young guy I know that came over the other day, he just had bought a y2k shee last week and was around so he wanted to show me... well its was quite the beast. Picture a bike thats as been owned by an indian (no offence) on welfare and sold to a redneck... He was telling me that he couldnt get it to idle and that it was a bitch to start. So I said why dont you come over after supper, we will bring it in the shop and assess it. For mods its got fmf power cores with stock pipes, a boost bottle and a tors removal kit (suprisingly!)... nice . Most of the chassis bearings are shot, the 4 ball joints are rediculously loose and a couple of other estetics problems but its when i took out a plug and took a compression reading... 90 psi on one side and 35 on the other!! I was stoked!! remember that he came in running... no wonder it wont idle! :biggrin: the motor is now on my table ready to be cracked open. I cant wait to see what the damage looks like! anybody got there hands on such a basket case before? I want to see your story's too!
  4. that is one off the weirdest snags I've heard, does not make any sense. can you get us a picture of what those 6 plates looks like? I'm really curious to know how its even moved like that.
  5. damn!! I was expecting something in the 50ish range, anyway, any tips on refurbishing shocks beside filling them with nitrogen? im going to take em apart and sandblast-powdercoat the springs and polish the shit out off them. I they where setup for a 220 pound riders on stock a arms will they work alright for me +3 arms 180 lbs? or a revalve is a must. im new to this shock business and there is alot of thing im not sure. :ermm:

I just got a set of works dual rates with remote rezzie's, I think that the nitrogen bottles are empty, when i try to take the pressure in them there nothing, am I supposed to get a reading out of these? if yes what is it? I can fill them up at work as we use nitrogen in the aircrafts tires. but i'm not sure how much to put in. thanks.

  8. go get yourself an extractor from the hardware store, drill a hole the recomended size in the screw head, tap it in in and unscrew it. easy process :cool:
  9. he' talking about the fact that on a hot rod crank there is o-rings on every bearing but the pto side, where the circlip (like he said ^!) goes, you will need to get a new crankshaft circlip if you got rid of the old one.
  10. yep thats how it goes, just put them so the circlips are half and half between both case halves. same for the crankshaft.
  11. i was trying to get a set off stock cylinders and cash, pm me for details looking to get around 400$ with cylinders. also the bore size is 64.50 not 64.75, my bad.
  12. hell no!! tell him he better get racing glow plugs to keep up with that jet fuel he's gonna use since its pretty much glorified diesel... anyway on a more serious note I dont think that even a well built 440 ex can take a basic pipe/filter shee. so dont worry you'r not in danger :biggrin:
  13. since I didnt get much interest in these as a trade I'l try to sell them and see what happens they have been drag ported for a stock stroke by Bob at RB racing, I polished the shit out of them during the winter and they are only on the segond oversize (64.75) I also have the pistons that goes with them new of this year. pm me with offers.
  14. bump now its been confirmed that they wont be modifiable for a 4 mil dune port because they are already too high strung for it it would be a great motor for a stock class drager like said before no 450 can touch this beast on top end power, it just kicks ass!!
  15. I just rub a little bit of carb cleaner inside the filter flange and slip them on. when i take them off they wont move until a apply force on them with clamps off, also do not overtight them as it will cause the filter to slip off.
  16. I have a pair of 19cc domes for noss or pro design cool head they are made by noss i can have pics on demand but domes are domes and they are flawless. 50$ shipped
  17. Thanks for the compliment on my polishing job lots of work went into those, the porting rips on them but its not what i need. I was going to look into something more dunerish im looking for more low and mid without loosing too much on top, probly passion 12 port stroker W/ T5 drag port is too much of the wrong kind of power for what where doing.

  19. on the bottle there is also a mililiters scale, I you can do a little bit of math you soon discover that when you put 250 ml of oil in a 10l jug (2 1/2 gal) it give ya 40:1, I use 32:1 wich is just about 300 ml/10L hope this helps
  20. Ipone is all i use in my engines, great stuff. its got an awesome strawberry smell and their bottle is the best thing since sliced bread. no more guessing. and it burns really clean. good choice!
  21. like the title says I have a set of jugs; stock stroke, drag ported by RB racing in Michigan. They are on the 2nd ovrsize (64.50) and are polished. I would like to get a set of unported jugs under 65mm and 400$, they would come with wiseco's and hardware wich have about 15hrs on them. they pull like crazy, I had them with shearer and 33pwk, no 450 can even think of touching it. If you want to have your jugs ported and show polished in 2 weeks this is the perfect occasion! there is nothing wrong with them I just want to go with a different setup (stroker)
  22. what is your gearing? you might be geared too tall for your motor?
