  1. Yep the clutch cover is a PITA to strip. I dont know what kind of paint they used on it but its good stuff. Even with the Badass military spec stripper that we use at work it was a bitch to take off. your best bet is to scuff it with sandpaper all over and try to bag it with aluminum foil or something like that. the temperature will play against you quite a bit too. but beside that your only chance is a sandblaser unfortunately.

  3. damn that sucks! shoulda got a Yamaha!!
  4. it will not shift if your tranny is not moving. When i put my cases together I always check it before I close them, you just put everything in the bottom case then you turn the inpout shaft while clicking thru the gears. you can tell your tranny is in neutral when the shift star roller is in the neutral notch of the shift star (the one that is ground in one of the peaks) or you can hold your output shaft while turning the input shaft.
  5. no, Tell him you want .030!
  6. yeah go for it, its pretty simple! By the way I have a set of shift forks I was going to put on ebay but if you need em let me know.
  7. you can get a stainless steel bolt kit from ebay for around 100$ they are perfect for what you want, I got one on my last rebuilt and i'm really happy with it, I didnt use them on critical points like motor or A-arms/shocks but for everything else its great, and I have a lot of leftovers for spares too.
  8. nice!, glad to hear this stuff. He's currently porting my cylinders as well. Going with a 12 port stroker dune port. I use to run a drag ported stock stroke motor but I got tired of the no-torque crazy power style. but i still want the high horsepower figure. I think this motor should do it for me, high hp torquey motor. anybody else run the 12 port stroker?? how you like it?
  9. I was selling some too couple months ago and had no luck on here, I putted them on ebay and I got 425$ very easily. just a thought...
  10. I just got my hand on an RZ transmission, I mainly bought it for the forks and drum and also cause I needed the output shaft. now I'm wondering which one should I run. I will be running it in a 12 port stroker dune port from passion racing with shearer's and pwk33's I was also wondering what other tranny mods are out there besides the star
  11. My feedback
  12. Looks a LOT like a Shearer to me but with a different silencer/stinger pipes configuration. If so they are great top end pipes. from what I understand, there is a couple companies that are marketing Shearer under their name but I didn't know ESR was one of them. the price is fair. You should get them and let us know how they are
  13. You might also want to check your idler gear, they have a little brass bushing in them and when they get worn out they do have a little chateringish noise. the only place I seen that they have that bushing is jeff at fast (25$ I belive) otherwise it would be a new gear from yam for 60$...
  14. on my stock stroke drag ported stocker's going from +4 to +8 made all the difference in the world. Ran all year with 19cc domes (155 psi) on 100 octane leaded. It gave me a LOT more grunt on the bottom. felt like it had quite a bit of torque under the powerband. just my 02
  15. Go to your local shop and look in the "Motovan ATV 08" catalog, pg 329 there is some ice screws, we use about 500 of them for a set of 4 tires.
  16. it means that its a 513 series pistons which is for stock length connecting rod with a 65.00 mm bore
  17. I'm looking for transmission parts, I need the output cluster or at least its shaft, and I'm also looking for RZ shift forks if anybody got some kicking around
  18. I got the UPP chain slider kit, love it. really well made it comes with both front and rear sliders and two rollers. http://www.uppracing.com/item.php?pid=251&cid=69
  19. you know that Kph while still being a speed unit does not mean miles per hour? :geek:
  20. its not hard, but you will have to split the cases. wich means that you have to take every piece of your engine appart. here's a good writeup on it by bigred350x http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=56926&hl= have fun!
  21. Nova-Scotia, Canada = Shit is so overpriced up here man its ridiculous they want 110$ for a 5 gal of 110. And there is nothing over 91 at the pump. I run Avgas but it takes 45 min one way to get it, so I was looking at other options.
  22. I was looking at this stuff and was wondering if its any good? I know klotz is a reputable company, but I also know that octane booster are garbage. is this some kind of an octane booster or its actualy race gas concentrate. We cant really get race gas around here, well we could but its way overpriced. this would be a lot cheaper. anyway here's a link. let me know what you guys think. http://www.klotzlube.com/tech/KL-451.pdf
  23. yeah, your crank seal is leaking. more smoke from the right side doesn't lie...
