  1. The LANC connection looks like a plug in for earphones like on a CD walkman. The LANC connection is like a wired remote control that plugs into your camera and has button and a light at one end. The LANC connection lets you start/stop recording and turn off your camera without even touching the actual video camera. So say like your camera is in a back pack and your hauling ass in the dunes or ona trail the LANC allows you do the above with the hit of a button so you don't have to stop and screw around with getting the camera out and turning it off etc......almost something that's required
  2. the pics didn't come up, at least for me. All i see are red x's.....milky looking oil is definatly not good. It can either anit freeze or water. Not too sure what anitfreeze would look like mixed in oil.
  3. I have a Sony handcam mini DV. The LANC cable is a almost a must, saves battery and tape. I have the adventure cam as well and it works wonderfully with my camera. The mic is small and very sensitive for it's size. getting it mounted is in the works.
  4. That sounds so much like my step dad....on a regular basis
  5. can you post a pic?? I just tore my top end down and getting ready to put it back together. It sounds like those are the stock pistons because mine had 3 rings on top and 2 on the lower set. Posting a pic would really help too. Those arrows are there to tell you that that is the foward part of the piston and the arrow should face forward of the bike.
  6. Ok people i need some help I have a 98 C250(I know it's not a yamaha) and the graphics have started to peel up on me. The graphics were put on about a 4 months ago and I have not ridden it on the track since they were put on. Does anyone have any ideas to keep them from peeling. I tried super glue but that worked only for a week or so. I can't just go out and buy a new set of graphics since these were the last set of fleshgear graphics for my bike.
  7. I have no clue what you bought......The TORS eliminator kit I bought was made by Motion Pro. It came with the barbs screw on caps, idle screws, drill bit and tap. You also have to buy a new throttle cable because the old one won't work.
  8. If the wires are cut at the carbs make sure the wires are disconnected or cut from the throttle housing. if they are then check the electrical connections from the TORS housing to the little box under the tank attached to the the left side of the frame. Turn the screws on the TORS housing clockwise until you can turn no more, don't torque the screws. Turn counter clockwise 3 full turns. The air screws have to be turned ccw 2 full turns from seated position.
  9. OMG that was hilarious....I was crying.
  10. DAMN...I know how you feel my fiancee did that right after I proposed to her(she said yes eagerly). A guy she worked with called and asked what she was doing for New YEar's and she said she was going out with some friends. I had already made plans to go on a nice romantic dinner and travel by limo. All she new was that we were going on a nice date....After that phone call.....We had Mcdonalds and I went to bed very early, at my house(before we moved in together). SHe asked what my problem was and when I explained that I had made plans to go on a nice romatic date with my fiancee but she was more interested in being friends and explained what I had planned for that night she started crying.......She was very apologetic for a long time afterwards. If you really want teh relationship to work out you may want to confront her about it. Sounds like she isn't taking the relationship or you seriously
  11. I had a very similar problem with mine. It would idle no matter what the engine temp was when warm it sounded like my left cylinder would cut under full throttle....Come to find out my compression was low and got lower when it got all warmed up and the top end was shot...check your compression......all the problems i was having was linked to the low compression
  12. probably around $20-$50 per rim.. I know a guy who will PC my dirtbike rims black for $25 a piece...
  13. No offense but I think your friends don't have a clue as to what they are talking about if they say that
  14. I don't see no pics
  15. how much you asking for the stock carbs??
  16. I went riding about 3 days ago at the this place called Cortner Street. It's an awesome place to ride. It's paved and straight, curbs on both sides, a field on one side and a row of houses on the other... Perfect place to test run your bike after you get it out the shop after 3 weeks and it's still won't run worst a s**t. Waste of $500
  17. The left jug is off and the right one is coming off tonight fter work. I'll take it down to the shop to see if they need honed or bored and to look at the pistons. there is a wierd wear mark on top of both pistons at about the 7 o'clock position.
  18. I took it to another shop before I took it apart and they found the compression was low when cold. They used a new gauge they had ordered for a customer and he let use it. still low compression.. 110 both sides. They said the same thing you did and the end result would be the same. I could have bought just new rings but since I'm going to have everything off might as well put ina new topend and do a little upgrading.
  19. I know a guy who had a brand new TRX400. He went to El Centro Ca. with 2 dirtbikes int he back of his truck and his TRX400 on the tailgate tied down really well. Well he got to El Centro and his TRX400 was not on the tail gate anymore. He never found it. He back tracked all the way to his house and never found it. He's still paying on the thing
  20. Yeah I'm about to take this thing to the dump
  21. Damn it man....I have a 90 YZ/wr 250 in my garage in a box. it's torn apart and I have all the major parts like the wheels frame, all plastics(new) forks etc. The only thing I don't have is the top half of the engine. I do have what looks like the tranny and bottom end. it was my buddy's bike but he didn't wan tto put it together so he bought a new one
  22. tell you the truth... i think he might be serious.......I thought same thing for the longest time but I couldn't figure out where the NOS lines were then I smacked my head against the wall after I realized what it did.....Yeah I felt like a complete moron.
  23. will these fit a stock cylinder off a 99 banshee??
