What's even better is when a guy buys a the new mastercraft X-45 wakeboard boat( top of the line of coarse) and when the dealership's policy is that they have to tow it from where's parked and service it and while backing it up to the service dept. the driver hits the corner support for the cieling thing and the entire ceiling comes down( that's about 30 feet high) damages 3 other high end boats along with the guy's brand new never off the dealership lot boat and totals the same guys brand new ford F-250 that's 4 days old. Come to find out the truck just had about $20,000 custom paint job and was picked up about 1 hour before this happened. Talk about having a bad day
  3. I see what you're saying but no I wasn't going that route. I'm going to put in a complete new top end kit. i think i will just stick with Wiseco pro lite pistons with stock specs. If that doesn't fix anything I'll be at a complete loss as to why the comp was 110 and then dropped to 100psi or below after it warmed up. Now I just have to figure how to tell whether or not my jugs need to be honed.
  4. Correct me if i'm wrong with what I'm about to say..... If I'm reading this right. I can get a NOSS MACHINE head with 21cc domes for my 99 banshee with stock bore size Wiseco pro lite pistons will raise the compression a little from stock compression?? If i am wrong please correct me. The reason I ask is because I my bike is past due for a top end kit. I have been looking around and found what I would like to do as far as pistons, head, etc....I dont have the money to have the thing bored out and get bigger pistons etc. So i was planning to get the head from NOSS MACHINE so when I do in fact plane to bore it out and raise the compression some more all I would have to do would be to change out the domes.
  5. Ok people I am going to put in a top end kit since my compression is non existant. I need any info you can give. I am thinking about going with a high compression piston but not sure if the stock head can handle it. So any suggestions on brand names or just about anything I will need is welcome. Thanks in advance.
  6. I got a rough estimate as to what a top end kit would cost, $160. it does seem tha everyone I have talked to says I need a new top end kit. I tore the head off and looked at everything and the cylinder walls look good. I didn't see any kind of scoring. I did see what seems to be a wear mark on top of both pistons at about the 7 o'clock position on both sides. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
  7. intermittant spark on left side. I'm hoping I find a blown head or base gasket but I'm starting to think it may be a cracked head

  9. I thought the same thing with it being a bad plug but when I put new plugs in it did the same thing. It only does it when in gear. What is an "HT lead"? Sorry for not understanding some of the terminology I'm still learning about the Banshee
  10. Ok I have another problem altogether... When the banshee is cold the compresssion is 110psi on both sides. When warm it drops to 100 on both sides. Do you think this and the other problem I am having are related?? What would cause a loss of compression after it's warmed up??
  11. Ok people I have a problem with me shee that is bugging me. Whe the shee is cold the left side fires and is strong but after it warms up the left spark is intermitant. I have no clue as to what it could be. I've read a few threads about this and now I can't find those threads. I remember something about a CDI box or a coil but I can't remember what does what. If you guys can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I just got ths thing out of the shop after being there for 3 weeks and they didn't get far enough to fix it. I pulled the bike out after they did a lot work on it that I didn't ask them to do. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
  12. If it's any consolation... I did the same thing with putting in a slide in 180 turn around.....The more you fiddle with it the more you will learn. Hope you get all the kinks worked out. Mine should be out of the shop today. Kind of had the same problem you are.
  13. Having no bills aslo helps but popping off with an attitude towards everyone isn't going to help matters any. Yes, I would get pissed to if everyone challenged what I say is true or not as to how I am able to own so many quads but I would let them make their own assumtions rather they are wrong or right and let it be. I assure you that for a lot of people the whole attitude thing isn't welcome or appreciated.
  14. The only reason I ask is because if you had a good paying job then people would see that and leave you alone about how you were able to pay for it all. I'm in the military and get a fat pay check every 2 weeks and hardly any bills. I can't even fathom having all those toys with the pay I get and I have a CR250 and banshee and they aren't paid off yet.

  17. The carbs do have to be synced. They usually shouldn't come un synced if you didn't screw with the cable. To sync the carbs there is a small inspection window on the right side of both carbs. Once the slides are installed(make sure they aren't in backwards) and move the throttle to moe the slides up and down. There a small piece of metal built into the slides that you will be able to see through the inspection window at teh same time. A flash light will help in seeing the metal piece on the slides go past the inspection window. A cheap way to get rid of the TORS system is to cut the electrical wires coming from the throttle housing and disconnect the electrical connectors from the TORS(located between carbs and gas tank or just follow the wiring harness from TORS housing) Once those are disconnected you HAVE to disconnect all electrical electrical connectors from the little box under the gas tank on the left side of the frame. Once all this is done you will have no TORS and it doesn't cost a thing(free mod) I hope this helps.

  20. This sounds like an awesome idea. I have a lipstick size camera that plugs into my video camera that I can mount on my helmet. Once the banshee comes out the shop I will take some video.

  22. Hey people I have a'90 YZ/WR250 parts for sale. I have everything except for the exaust, top end of motor, handlebars and piston. My roommate moved out and left his bike at my house. The plastics are white UFO and brand new, I don't think the bike was ridden with them on. Not sure if I have all the little parts like nuts and bolts and stuff. Please make offers(no bulls**t offers) Please make honest offers. If parts are not sold it's going to the junk yard.
