I still consider myself new to the banshee world and haven't ridden many banshee's at all and I know from the differences from my mostly stock '99 and from my cheetah P.V. the p.v is a hell of lot more funner to ride. Yeah I have to work the clutch a little more than I do on my '99 when I'm messing around in the dunes but oh well. I like the fact that I can go from messing around in the dunes, ride up to the drags and launch and still be either the leader of the pack or be side side up the hill. If I had the money and the option I would drop a cheetah P.V. motor in my '99. I like the factt hat the powervalve motor can be used for just about anything when out in the dunes. Yeah you can do that with just about any motor but not people can say that they can line up at the drags with the big boys and then go out and play in the dunes. A power vale motor is such a diverse motor.
Ok I have looked at can't fin da wrench for the roundhouse carriers to adjust my chain. I was wondering if ther eis such a thing and where can I get one.....All I see on my carrier is a bunch of little pilot holes....maybe to adjust chain by sticking a screw driver in to adjust that way????
I couldn't imagine what a bigger cc cheetah PV motor would feel like power wise. I know my 421 PV is a beast and I haven't even started to tap in to the extra power it has to offer. every time I get on my '99 I at first think something is wrong because it doesn't accelerate as quickly as the 421, then I remember what shee I'm on.
Oh trust me that ain't his package...most of the cycling shorts now-a-days have some sort of padding in them for the long 2+ hour rides....helps keep your junk from going numb and falling asleep....very weird feeling when that happens.
I have 22-11-10 8 paddle extremes on my 421 P.V. and launch in first....It has no problem grabbing,,,launches hard. I would go with either an 8 or maybe a 9 paddle but 10 will bog your motor...BUT it's not my decision either way you go you won't be making a bad choice with this brand of tire . If you decide a 10 paddle was too much you could always sell or trade for a 8 paddle.
The only thing I would think about changing in our set up is to go up one size one your pilot. A stock pilot with a big main not run funny,,,,I know it did on my 99 ran like shit with a 360 main and a stock pilot
I don't wear the bright ass gay colors like some do. I own mainly black or dark blue cycling clothes. I have seen alot of cyclists ride in the middle of the lane thinking that they have the right of way and it pisses me off. If I ever see them in the lane I usual tap my horn to let them know i'm coming and they need to get out of the way. I ride mainly country roads just because I hate riding in high traffic roads and the main fact that most fo the people where I live can't drive for shit.
Remind me to not ride my bike where you all live. I'm one of those people that wear "them faggoty ass stretchy out fits that scream" I AM BIKEMAN HEAR ME ROAR!" I ride 30 miles everyday just to keep in shape. i hate running so i ride.....plus it's easier on the knees. Those faggoty stretchy outfits have also been proven to help fight fatigue in the muscles while doing any activity...NFL players wear skin tight pants, just different material...Also when I ride I stay out of the road because I know I'll lose the battle against the cars. I do understand what you guys are talking about because I run into the bicyclists that like to ride in the middle of the road and it pisses me off too.
A K&N filter will be a hell of a lot better than stock. You'll notice a difference but not sure how much, never ran a stock set up. I know on my cars I notice difference so I assume it will be even more noticeable with a 2 stroke. I say money well worth spent.
Getting a clymer's will help tremendously and answer a lot of questions you will have along the way in the rebuild. Since the top end is off I would get all brand new parts and redo it as well. Either way yo udecide to go on the crank whether it's stock or a 4mil. I would talk to jeff at farmandsandtoys.com He is a member here and a hell of a guy to deal with. He can answer just about any and all questions you have and will point you in the right direction.
That sounds pretty damn close to me. I have a powervalve and I'm not sure if the jetting would be the same for a cub and powervalve. at 4500 ft above sea level i run a 142 main and a 45 pilot and clip in 3rd position and I'm just on the lean side. I know if a put in a 150 I'll be just about dead on for that elevation.
ok This may seem like a dumb question....With the billet intake manifold with the built in cross over tube will the cross over tube on the stock carbs still need to be installed?
