  2. yeah sleep is something I miss. I can only sleep about 4-5 hours before my back hurts to where I can't sleep anymore. My back always feels like it needs to be popped like something fierce.
  3. The frame is tweaked....the bar that the steering stem bolts to is bent back maybe an inch and the fender mount bolt on the left side by the headlight is like a half of a hole off.....I think the whole front is bent to the left just a little. I can't do anything about it now since my collar bone is broken but once I get all healed up I can take a better look at it. Any key points or areas that i need to look at? once again thanks for the help
  4. ok so what should I do if the bar that my steering stem bolts to is bent from my bone breaking event..should i try to bend it back or should I go ahead and get a new frame?? Also What are some nice front bumpers that I should look at getting since mine is no longer any good.
  5. just PM'd you
  6. These still available?
  7. yeah I would use the collars to be on the safe side.
  8. spark plug is not the issue. i run br8es plugs in mine and it runs great... i don't have it with me but i would look at your jetting very closely
  9. minkia38 has a shit load of frames...pm him....he's in michigan
  10. thanks everyone, i plan on taking all the vicadin and hopefully my body will healed enough so i can with the pain...it's not too bad now but my entire back is sore as hell and i ave to walk real slow where ever i go so i'm not gasping for air. so yeah work will be fun tomorrow
  11. Well It all started yesterday with me going to Sand Mountain,nv with some friends. I had to rejet for the temp change and was doing my last test run when I saw a 3 foot dune with a flat face at the last second and hit it in mid 3rd gear. I was told that the front came up and I was about ot fly off the back when the rear tires hit and I was bucked off. I was thorwn 10 feet in to the air and flew about 40 feet before I hit the ground. The banshee followed me and hit the ground and then rolled over me. I was knocked out for about 45 seconds and woke up to my buddies kneeling next to me. The banshee was damaged a little. All I can see for now is the front bumper bar is now almost flat, the handle bars are leaning back a little and the tank shroud plastics are bent alittle. I can't tell if the steering stem is bent or if the bar the steering stem bolts to is bent either so I'm not sure what is causing hte tank shroud to be bent a little. I did crack the visor on my helmet but other that that everything seems to be good. The bike still runs...In fact it fired right up when I rode it back to the trucks after the wreck. I broke my right colloar bone and have 3 cracked ribs on my right side. The collar bone has a 1cm degree of seperation. so depending on what I find when I take the plastics off I may have to buy a new frame. the radiator seems to be in place. And of course I was n my cheetah p.v. I'm not doing too bad right now I'm doped up on vicadin. Just thought that I'd share my little excitement with you all.
  12. Found this on craigslist....Hope it's a typo http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/rvs/418125852.html
  13. If the 2stroke engine scares you...stay the hell away from a 4stroke engine, they are more complicated than a 2stroke engine due to cams, valves, timing, timing chain etc. they are also more expensive to rebuild...(in my personal experience). A 2 stroke engine has a the piston head cylinders to put together. Any quad will be expensive to maintain if not maintained right. moneywise you can make a banshee quicker with the same amount of money than a 4stroke. YOu do not have to have deep pockets to own a banshee unless you plan doing a lot of custom work to it. I could be wrong though and you may know how to work on a 4stroke easily compared to a 2stroke..I'm trying not to be-littel you in any way, just making my opinion based on what you said. the one on craigist looks good for the price go look at it.
  14. Well I guess I'd start this now... In october I'll be tearing my '99 down and replace a lot fo stuff and have a lot of stuff powdercoated and change a few things. I plan on eliminating some of the wiring that I don't need and the parking brake. It's a mainly stock '99 with the pimpin gold rims and here's what I plan on doing( that I can think of off the top of my head) It;s going to be a black, blue and chrome/silver color scheme. Blue plastics Billet manifolds(ned to find them still) Douglas rims +2 or +4 swingarm with round house carrier billet impeller both side covers blue radiator hoses Powdercoated(yamaha blue and/or black that will be by Kaotik1) rear axle(black) PIAA headlight brackets cylinders or head pegs sprocket hub brake hub top a-arms wheel hubs tie rods kicker shifter and brake levers Not sure how much this will cost but since the next 2 weeks will be the last for my riding season due to my schedule I'll have some time to get this done and won't have to worry about getting it done to ride. I'll have some stuff up for sale..like my red plastics, pimpin gold rims and misc. stuff. If any of yo uknow where I can get some good prices for the plastics and billet manifolds let me know because the plastics will be the most single most expensive things I buy....and I'm sure I'll be asking for some help somewhere long the rebuild process..
  15. I woulod take the carbs apart and clean the shit out of them just for shits and giggles...The smallest piece of dirt will cause a shit load of problems if it's in the right place
  16. You are correct...When buying new carbs you will have to decide what size you want and buy two...You will have to let the guys at the shop know that you are putting them on a banshee so they can get the correct throttle cable for you...Or PM or call Jeff and FAST and see what he says. Jeff's name on here is FASTOYS
  17. What size pilot are you running??? My '99 did the same thing and I installed a 27.5 pilot and that cured the problem. I'm running a 310 main and a 27.5 in my '99 and it's mostly stock motor wise
  18. Only the stock carbs will have the eliminator kit available. ANy aftermarket carbs will not have the TORS eliminator kit and oyou will only need a new throttle cable. The eliminator kit will be the cheaper way to go. Otherwise just unplug all the TORS connectors and go from there....Should run just fine.
  19. as far as the content on the Dvd video wise you have no worries....you recorded the footage yourself...music wise....you have no worries because you aren't selling just the music...you are using the music as background music arn't making any profits from it.
  20. I'd do a top end rebuild..just to be safe.....I'd also clean out the carbs and double check everything just to be safe.....I'd put both of my feet in my buddies ass if he did that to me...is he going to hel with the repair costs??
  21. I bought mine from sears and it seems pretty good and accurate
  22. any motorcycle store or on line...... www.rockymountainmc.com or www.chaparralmotorsports.com Thay aren't very much...like $5 or so
  23. Try a flag holder. Flag holder bolts to the rear grab bar and the flag goes into the flag holder.
  24. did you by chance break the motor in before you did the high speed runs?? I know when I rebuilt my cheetah I took a full day to do the intial break in and then the 2nd day i started to get on it but I didn't open the throttle all the way or go past 4th gear until the end of the day. When you took the cylinders off what did it look like inside? What jetting were you using??
  25. get the 280 or the 300 main jets. You are running way too lean....once you get the new jets in you;ll notice a diference. Get a clymers manual for the banshee and it will aswer a lot of question ou have. Or you can do a search on here and get alot of info that the book won't tell you.
