  2. There is awesome stuff called Nitro Plate that looks like high polished aluminum. But be careful with the coatings on two stroke pipes! There are some pipes that respond really well to it while others are affected in a really negative way. I have seen it work well on PT hi revs and even Toomeys, but have heard mixed results about CPI pipes. As far as Shearers go, I have spoke with Mat Shearer on the phone about buying raw pipes to coat and he mentioned that it has been done on his pipes with negative results as well. I don't quite remember the numbers, but he stated that a customer returned pipes complaining about performance and he ran them back to back. Results showed drastic loss against his regular chrome pipes
  3. Detail it and if it has 120-130 compression, maybe $1,200-1,500
  4. One thing nobody has mentioned is to make sure you spin your tip against the port edge so that it is turning into the nicasil. DO NOT SPIN YOUR TOOl TOWARD THE BORE! It will definitely up the chances of flaking. In my experience with playing with porche motors the Nicasil is pretty tough stuff, but the weirdest things can cause it to start peeling. Yeah it is ideal to send it to the sponsors, but I always encourage any one with the balls and proper equipment to attack a project. Just as long as you are willing to pay for a mistake if it goes awry, go for it. Let us know how it goes. Again, all you guys who refuse to believe that it is possible to learn this shit. You are nuts! Whether it's automotive, construction, or our banshees, it is important for people to learn how to do this shit or in the future we are fucked! After all, every builder has many dollars tied in to "Sacrificial Research". It's not like these guys just picked up a set of cylinders and was banging out flawless work and became a site sponsor overnight.
  5. There is a guy on eBay that Pops up time to time with some wraps that he makes out of his home or something. They are the black ones on there. A guy I used to ride with had a set and they were pretty nice. $100 for the full set
  6. No shit, fireball owns that turbo hillbilly busa beast. Wonder how fast that thing could be with 30k in machined light weight parts.
  7. Why do all the good deals come up when my cash is supposed to be going to "RESPONSIBLE" living decisions........ Kill me now!
  8. Look way better cleaned up man. Should definitely be able to sell those. Still lots of material for additional port work
  9. The 34's are a little big. But that was why I mentioned that it would come at the sacrifice of a little low end, but then the thing would really pull through mid to top. Not to mention that they would really compliment about any build but a drag set up. I only mentioned them for you because they are every where for really cheap. The 28mm PWK's would probably be the hot ticket for that bike though. I just can't seem to find them much cheaper.
  10. Those cases are outrageous! Love them man!
  11. To get an accurate reading the bike needs to be wide open. Definitely not for a mile though. When you run it on the lower jets, be very aware of what your bike is doing. If it coughs, chokes, hesitates, sputters, or just doesn't wanna rev. Shut her down fast! Then check the plugs. Your current plugs are not Lean. They look pretty typical of the average trail rider bike. Maybe a touch richer.
  12. Those PJ's run good, but they do require constant attention. What exactley is your current set up that they will be going on? PM Me if you like.
  13. For a smaller motors the 28mm keihin PWK's are nice. Steer clear of those OKO knock offs. If you aren't to worried about keeping snappy low end and really want it to pull, there are sets of 34mm PJ's every where for way cheap
  14. Zilla hit it. Porting, pipes, cut head or cool head with custom domes, and timing.
  15. Again...... Don't be lazy or cheap! So you tore the whole motor down?
  16. COUGH..... Being cheap does make you stupid. So, you had wrong fuel, wrong jetting, and possibly wrong oil. These motors are not forgiving when you start playing with aftermarket goodies. Don't skimp and always run correct fuel, oil, parts. Don't be lazy, always run to the store to get the right stuff and spend the time turning wrenches till it is right. Make sure you learn how to talk to your motor like that weird Mexican guy does with dogs. A motor doesn't get lean like that and not give any signs of an issue. You got lucky this time, or did you? Are you sure that those missing parts of piston didn't wind up in the crank case? Tear down!
  17. Love my moose tire wraps! Do not ruin them by riding on them!
  18. I'd be of the opinion that you might not be making the typical compression that C12 needs to ignite completely. Starting the higher octane usually doesn't go to well in the cold. If the squish isn't to tight and you aren't running a ton of timing, try lowering your octane.
  19. Stock cyl, 4 mil crank, passion porting, race fuel, CPI/shearers. If it ain't enough, build a high dollar cub or cheetah
  20. Negative ghost rider.....
  21. Good shit right there. Bout time you guys put the K&T name on BHQ. Got a drag build coming soon, and you will be getting my box of junk!
  22. Magnum is literally a PE Billit basket in a magnum package. They are on eBay for only $119.00 bucks
  23. "Cool Heads" really don't help to much with temps. I guess they do to a certain extent but definitely not more then a few degrees. I even ponied up for an infrared gun and checked my bike with pro design head and my wicked head. The wicked boasts altered coolant flow which is evident around the exhaust but like I said, it's just a few degrees. Get your stocker re done or any used cool head and custom domes for some extra oomph.
  24. Some one may pay you for that PE basket what you purchased it for. On another note, how is the lock up tuning coming? Did I get you close?
