  1. Literally every time me or my buddy break shit that is our motto. "It's just money!"
  2. I have an old one that took a dump. Dont know what is wrong with it. Just know it ran for a couple months, then the bike wouldn't run. Swapped my stock stator on and it ran since. The tech guy on the phone was a total cunt so I tossed it in the junk bin. Feel like replacing it now? Guess when business was good you guys felt that it was ok to tell people to occasionally get bent, now it's added up and it's hurt your ability to make payday so it finally needs to be dealt with?
  3. No but if you seriously take the time to start messing with it and risk messing up a few sets you get my respect. Not that you give a shit about the respect of an ex con, but you'll get it. Every one says send it to the pros. Well who the fuck did they send their stuff to before there were "pros"? Every body starts somewhere. Get educated and start experimenting. It's the best way!
  4. Pros use the Foredom.
  5. I'm down for wrestling. I'll bring the kiddie pool as long as someone brings the baby oil! None of that Coconut sun tan oil shit. You can only be so bad ass when you smell like a fucking piña colada!
  6. In my younger years before I ever heard of BHQ I used a 3 jaw puller. Needless to say my timing plate was destroyed. Must have been back in 2001.
  7. Huh, good to know. Thanks my good man.
  8. Teuche' And why would someone even ask such a rhetorical question considering the nature of the post and the given responses. It's like asking what color the sky is and when you get the right answer, you ask the guy why he's not a colorist.
  9. Mill it and do domes. Or epoxy and Glass or granite with paper. The later of the two takes a very well qualified set of hands. For all stuff like that I use a glass mirror taken out of the plastic housing for a rear view mirror. Ultimately though if you wanna be sure, tig weld it and get it machined properly.
  10. WCR... Hmmm. Well I can assure you the Cryo isn't the reason you were going through forks.
  11. Granted its tuned right, yes. Some say that you won't notice. However I have seen it work in many industrial applications and racing. I know many machinists that say it lengthens tool life as well as keeping sharper edge longer so there is less down time to refurbish tooling. The punch press where my old man used to work also uses cryoed parts for extended life. Local diesel mechanic swears he's getting an extra 10/15 thousand miles on the brakes of a dump truck be services exclusively. It helps keep accuracy longer in Full auto fire arms that are shot repeatedly. I personally notice it in the way my clutch springs stay more consistant in ice racing. I actually did a spring swap test recently. Both spring sets from driveline, same weight. Ran the first set Un cryoed and feathering the clutch out of the turn I could get maybe 15 laps before the spring pressure faded and let the lever go limp. Now with cryoed springs I can run the same way for almost 30 laps before I get fade. The list goes on and on. Lotta big time racers use the process, and I have seen it work so If I can afford it I do it
  12. Nothing before the 3GG? May be newer then 99 then? http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73599
  13. I'm so gonna have Jeff make me a cover out of my chicks old corset and panties for the future drag build.
  14. No, it's not a plating. It is a thermal tempering. They slowly take the part from room temp to -320 degrees and slowly bring it back to temp and they do that cycle a 2/3 times depending on the company or application. It makes the metal harder, and I have noticed it prolongs surface wear. It also allows for tighter clearances.
  15. Any body ever heard of the ISO Blue?
  16. That pretty much covers it. The only thing I didn't hear touched on was the clutch. There is a drastic difference between your banshee and that 4 stroke you compared it to. Especially if the guy before you said he put a HD replacement in. You can help it by getting a fresh cable and routing it with out any major bends and keep it lubed. Also get your self a nice perch and lever. Steer clear of the junk magnum one.something like an ASV or Wertz would help drastically. Maybe go back to a lighter spring since your bike probably doesn't really need the heavy springs. The last option that would be costly but if you are serious about a really easy pull. Get a lock up so you can run the lightest springs possible but not have clutch slip. A bit over kill, but I think if I build another trail bike it'll definitely get one just so I can put really soft springs in it.
  17. Typically the cost is high due to the price of liquid N2. So if you are already paying for a run of stuff just squeeze your personal stuff in. Might as well do some pistons as well if they are out.
  18. The banshee transmissions are more or less surface hardened. So when you go machining it you are cutting away the hardened surface. Hence why so many guys have gotten in to Cryo Treatment. Mine is also a Croy Treated unit and I also do a lot of other motor parts. Is it worth it? Depends who you are. If you can get it done slipping it in on a big batch of other parts GO FOR IT! Because that tranny will be around when and if you do decide to go bigger. Cryo Treatment has way more benefits then most will ever comprehend. Heck out 300below.com
  19. If it was done with good welds and the tabs are there go for it. Just make sure it isn't that TT one that was listed a while back with the TRex motor. Your biggest obsticle will be pipes. But it shouldn't be to bad.
  20. Not to mention almost 20 more ponies
  21. Love my rockets for the roll on they have. Not to great for over rev, but for the tighter trails or hills, any riding where you are in and out of the throttle they really shine!
  22. I was just on he griffin radiator site and saw the ad for that. Looks killer!
  23. Stellar! Ever watch Pikes Peak racing? Wide Fucking open! And up hill to boot. Those motors stay very well loaded for quite a duration.
