  1. Never question a water pump if you aren't sure what you have. With the stock one, even if it is fine now, there is no point in putting it together now just to roast the top end when it fails. Get a quality Billit pump impeller, new bearing, new seal, gasket, & plate.
  2. The riding you do will dictate which pipes to choose from. To run shearers in the trails will need timing and compression.
  3. Not entirely good. Being overly rich will create overheating issues as well.....
  4. Titties!
  5. I'd stick with what ya got. If you ever get a stroker crank and additional port work done you can step up to something like a Shearer or CPI.
  6. 4mm stroker crank since you said you are porting it.
  7. FOCK! Couldn't wait a few more months till summer for when I am done dumping money in to my new place? Bump for a Bad Ass bike! I've seen that thing go from a few different combos and with that 18dm in it, it flies. That video didn't do it justice. Good luck with the sale, gonna need the money to fund the new sketcho retardo turbo rigid bike.
  8. Actually the newer style Vito's 4mils are supposed to be pretty stout. I had one in my hand and the rods are beefy! I think the stock stroke was supposed to be updated as well but I havn't looked.
  9. So.... Why are you asking us? You will be hard pressed to get someone to just sell half of the set. If they do you should quit playing the lottery, because that's all the luck one man gets in the year.
  10. This thread took off and he was like FUCK! " Well honey, guess we have to let some people go. Tell Mr. Wang we don't need that shipment any more. And is your sister still sleeping with that bankruptcy lawyer?"
  11. Don't be a pussy! Get bundled up and come check it out. For the first Time in about 3 years this event should be ran the way it was meant to be with the weather we need
  12. What type of riding do you do with them? What type of motor are they on? Are you happy with how they perform? What would you like them to do that they aren't doing? I like the Paul turners personally. Btw that pipe has set records on near 500 CC mountain climbing bikes on pikes peak.
  13. Apparently it was supposed to be an Over Ride that could be back loaded or downshifted clutchless with out letting off the power and pulling he clutch. Basically ride it like a stock cut but beagle to upshift flawlessly
  14. For the record I wasn't implying she NEEDS the lock up. I Know it is over kill and I posted that. I just brought it up as an alternative. Me personally, I think that regardless of the power of any bike I own, I would like to put a lock up in it so that I can use the lightest spring/clutch pull possible and still have the clutch do what it needs to.Plus it gives the rider the ability to tune the slip of the clutch to make it come on to the RPM's of where any given motor performs. For instance, guys that are trying to ride high strung motors in the trails. It's almost like tuning a sled clutch to just go in to the revs.
  15. Hmm. Cam, you ever do a 1-3 over ride with M 3-6? It is for a flat track bike and I'm thinking it could help get the holeshot. I do use engine braking for corners though. I usually come in to the turn with 6th wound out and just grip the clutch and drop it to 5th or 4th depending on how tight the turn is. As soon as the gear is clicked down I let off the clutch and it almost pitches it immediately for the set up. Once it is aimed at the apex of the turn I'm full on again.
  16. The tread height doesn't matter when studding tires if they are just play tires. Just use good 1" studs or the quad will just throw them. You need then to go through the whole tire to keep them in. Just a warm up lap on my first outing this year, it hooks up on glare smooth ice. http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc441/trickedcarbine/6F4A2B5D-6107-4935-9BD8-2F26153DD102-9581-00000F4E6CA57CC0.mp4
  17. There is nothing wrong with those files. That is what you use to chamfer ports after work is done on a cylinder
  18. Yeah, it had Outer Wears. Right now I'm on just pods with wears and trying an aluminum shroud.
  19. Wonder how one of the street bike twist clutches would be? If it got choppy enough to where she would be twisting it she would probably be letting out of it a little bit any way....
  20. Don't bother with mix and matching the gears from different sets. It's about like using a new ring gear and old pinion gear together. Sloppy.
  21. Thread mining and decided to bump a cool topic Here is our local coating shop: http://www.line2linecoatings.com/
  22. Again bump for a great seller!
  23. A few years back Greg at WCR messed with the extreme dunable transmissions and ultimately it was a bust because only a handfull worked the way they were intended to. Are there any other builders still toying with this concept? If not I think I'm gonna do a 1-3 override with M 4-6.
  24. How so? I didn't compare porting to football. I'm just making the point that if people say they wanna do something that everyone else shouldn't be such a fucking negative nancy about it. You have a kid, every time she says she wants to try something are you gonna just say " That's a stupid fucking idea, you won't be the best at it"? At no point did I ever try to compare the two. It's important for people to be curious about this kind of stuff and I think if someone else is willing to spend their time and dollars to experiment with their motor it should be encouraged as long as they have the potential to do so. Obviously they should be cautioned, but every time this type of thread comes up someone always gets bashed and it's rediculous. Everybody started somewhere and the go from there. Ask every builder that has ever sponsored this site how perfect all their work was in the beginning and how many people told them to stop wasting their time and send it out. Ever talk to Eric gore about how he started? At the pinnacle of Two Strokes in super cross and Moto cross he was the it man to do the motors.
  25. Kinda cool, some guys are paying a lot of money for a little aliminum tank that doesn't look much different
