  1. Junk, case closed. The only box out with even marginal success is the dyna. Stick with the OEM and buy your self a nice billet adjustable timing plate instead.
  2. Devcon has been around for a while
  3. This will be a shit storm but I have actually made a decent 2/1 set up with a buddy (DomesticBeotch) it's a 4mil stock cylinder bike and originally he had the trinity 2/1 when I met him so we tried it. Junk! So one day I was looking at the junk 440 exciter and heard the manifold fit with a touch of modification so we did it. The intake is actually a very efficient unit and considering it was on a machine with almost 100 more CC's that was made to rev it was worth the try. The total combo is a set of modified BOYHESON Rad valves which were modified to flow a bit more and a 39mm PWK. The thing comes alive almost instantly when you flick the throttle and carries up in to the RPM's pretty well. I would be willing to bet that motor was 65+ hp and we aren't throwing much fuel at it yet as it isn't ported much more then what it took to get it to work with the stroke of the crank.
  4. Definitely NOT armor all! Learned that the hard way as a young fella... But a nice soap and water scrub. Maybe some natural degreaser.
  5. Certain individuals have really lost reputations in the last couple years.
  6. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=164851&page=1 The link in this thread also has a lot of photos to really illustrate what is being done. Again it's really just part of a total package. You can have a non over ride tranny but still reap many of its benefits. It takes a bit of work but it is worth it. Few good guys will set you up with one. CamATV, Cam at Redline, Brad Tyson at Tyson Racing.
  7. No. Each of the engagement segments are the same size and neither one relies on the material of the next for strength or support. Gimme a minute and I will find a link for YOU TO READ.
  8. There are 6 of them so you remove three of them so that it allows more space/time for the opposite side gear to engage. Have you ever took off to do a hole shot and bang a gear only to have it neutral rev then clunk and go? That is the meshing surfaces bouncing off each other. Modding the trans even on a basic level is night and day.
  9. I ice race and my bike has engine ice..... No problems.
  10. Yes, gotta make sure the sponsors know their advertising is working here. I'm glad Tony was your choice. He's doing my new girdle head as soon as we get done with the phone tag.
  11. -2 and hang on!
  12. Neither, both K&T and TDR have had the best T-Rex motors in my opinion. Tony at TDR also has acquired a massive cache of what was left of the T-Rex stuff and will probably have whatever you need to reconfigure it to modern times
  13. Actually, the manifold I bet zilla will recommend is the 440 exciter manifold. If you are hell bent on the 2/1 intake, that is the only way to do it and actually get good power short of finding an old Graydon. The chariot and trinity ones are jankin and will not flow and that is why people say they are bad.
  14. Who did the port work and domes?
  15. Silver looks good. Maybe some sort of green pin stripe around the tank gills. That would be pretty dope.
  16. The last part was kinda saracasm. But it would be sweet to see some one solve the riddle. Also you mention that the best two stroke tuners are not from the US, where are they? ( serious question not a smart ass one)
  17. Titties! Mount it. Run a string around it all and measure it. Round up half a foot.
  18. My buddy had a 250R with blue plastics on a neon green/yellow frame and it was killer! Probably couldn't hurt to get some of that green on the plastics though.
  19. If the top case really is what you need, epoxy the trench and be done with it. But it would be appreciated if you run it first then epoxy it and run it again and let us know the results.
  20. Not sure on exact years but the FAST and Driveline stuff if FZR based and priced super well. They have taken the guess work out of it and packaged all you need together so I would start out with a call to either company and order it up. A little off topic, but how did your turbo build turn out Johston?
  21. You with your fucking logic and reasoning! Please, just stop making sense before somebody goes and solves an issue
  22. Your steering stem is missing.... And your motor! And your harness, can't fire up the ol' jalopy with out the essentials! Haha looks good man.
  23. Is it a dune motor where you end up wide open for some time or a drag motor for sand or even 1/8-1/4 mile? If it's dirt or sand drags, just fuel it accordingly. Maybe if you are running long asphalt I would swap domes so the motor isn't fighting it self up top and still has some over rev. But if you wide open dune the thing, I would swap domes as well more for a reliability factor. Also I would consider alky specific domes if that if your fuel of choice. JMO
  24. Which united auto supply are you referring to? A guy told me about a place in Livonia with weather pack connectors, other wise I'll just grab them online as most of my searching is bulk distributors.
