2006 Yamaha Banshee 350 with Toomey T6 Full Exhaust
trickedcarbine replied to Hero's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Why do people always spend their money, then ask for a review? -
1 clip for pussy trail stuff, 2 clips or full clip for aggressive shit. It helps on 80 HP+ motors with helical gears to.
-
You can buy another clip to run 2 in the crank and tranny big bearings. I try to set them in do that the clips go up and down through both case halves.

Stock Banshee w/ CPI's (question about next mods)
trickedcarbine replied to jaykinder82's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Those pipes are definitely gonna give you better low end then the other Big in frames. Keep the CPI's. If you aren't ready to take it apart for porting and all that, your best gains can be had with a cool head with nice domes for more compression, V force 4's, timing plate at +4, maybe a gearing change to get the motor to be under more load so that it makes a bit more heat to get it to come on to the pipe sooner. If it still feels weird, maybe swap to your T5's and see if it's more satisfying. -
Coming along. Looks pretty similar to the HJR intake. You gonna dip in to the transfer tunnels them selves?

15 Tooth Front Sprocket Size Problem.....
trickedcarbine replied to ZILLAKILLA's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
You have a case saver in there? Like a Billit piece that surrounds a sprocket? You can definitely use a stone to open it up a little bit. -
Fluid from exhaust after rebuild
trickedcarbine replied to Newcs222's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Definitely get it torn all the way down! There is probably water down in the in the crank case side as well. That shit will wreak havoc on a motor. Coolant is a horrible lubricant and can cause hydro lock seizures, and major crank damage. On re assembly, with multiple jug motors. It will help a ton to just lightly snug the base nuts just to locate the cylinders. Then put the head on and torque it to spec first. Then torque the base nuts. That will help keep shit from movin so much. -

Looking for a set of good used shocks

Look for a good set of used works shocks. Cheap, easily obtainable, cheap to rebuild with easy to get parts. -
Ridiculous Fabrications.
trickedcarbine replied to Ridiculous Fabrications's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
^ makes a difference. I've heard many horror stories from cops. Current and ex cops. All tell ya what areas they won't go in to with out several other reinforcements. Hell, Oakland county cop in my neighborhood said a car load of young teenagers pulled out one of those AR assault pistols out for a routine stop. He said have a nice day and got back in his car. -
I just want it sent out one time to one guy who will take care of it all. Just a simple rebuild of internals, polish the body and powder the spring. If not I'm buying a new one

Banshee 421 Cheetah Winter Rebuild!
trickedcarbine replied to TKJ421's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It'll rip.......... Enjoy the wait. -
takes a lot of heat/volume to utilize the big bore pipes. The big bore pipes tend to (in my experience) make to small of a motor feel really laggy, and it makes it come on a bit later but sort of never builds up enough heat for the motor/pipe combo to run at its most efficient capability. There are exceptions for some motors with different power adders. I remember seeing a guy dyno a CPI cyl 250r on Nitro methane with a big and small bore. The normal choice was the small bore shearer version. But on the nitro meth it ran better on the big bore pipes. Same typically goes for nitrous motors to. That's really more of a concern for drag folks then the typical Duner though. You will see gains with the small bores on an average 421 cub though
-
Ditch the big bores for a set of small bores. Those are a bit more pipe then a 421 cub would need. Unless you plan on spraying it at a track or two....... They might be worth keeping around.
-
You will need to degree it with the regular pistons because those measurements will change with out the Vito's style piston

Clean! I'll give it that. But rare or vintage?

Baldwin will re powder and polish the body? I was told they don't offer it?
