  1. No such thing in Africa, our Vice President just got sacked for being caught out, not for being corrupt... Some of us pay our 45%, however, I can't speak for the millions of free-riders.... I say fuck'em, don't send your money here, it'll end up in the wrong hands. I think our pres needs a new airforce one..
  2. Congrats! Does that include the shipping and any duties? You can run without the lid on, only problem is on the stock set-up the lid holds the filter in place, so you either need an adaptor flange which might have been included in your purchase, or you have to bolt and seal the original plastic flange to the front of the airbox. If you run without the lid at Swakop, I suggest 300 to 320 mains.
  3. They sure aren't pretty, but I bring out these babies when I know the trail will be rough. Bearclaws 22" 6-ply I normally run Klaws.
  4. I have a 2000 Banshee, I added a pic in the image forum specially for you FMF Fatties / K&N in the box, no lid / V-Force II reeds / Pro Design Coolhead 20cc / PD stator plate at +4 / Billet water pump impeller / +2 A-arms and some other secrets... I bought the pipes from Alba , (<==Click) a few years ago, can't remember the price or the shipping, but it was much cheaper than local suppliers. You can ask around at quadtorque.co.za, they have a for sale section, I'm sure you'll get sorted there.
  5. namshee, welcome to the HQ, always good to have a fellow African onboard. I've ordered many parts online to South Africa, not a problem at all. Expect to pay some for shipping and duties! To beat the other guys up Dune 7 you definately need some rockets... K&N filters can be ordered from Speedbike or ATV Powersport in South Africa. Hook up at quadtorque.co.za for some local news, a couple of Namib guys are allready there!
  6. That's one helluva contribution you've made to the jetting forum, good going!
  7. Stock balljoints can not be changed.
  8. It might well be running out of fuel. -Blocked gas tank cap vent or hose -Blocked petcock filter screen
  9. Take the tip from Sick Boy. As long as the key doesn't interfere with the taper fit, it should be ok. The taper is designed to take all the load, the key only indexes the flywheel to the crank and should not bear any of the load. You have to ensure that the fit and contact between the crank and flywheel is correct. If you are still in doubt, just slot the mounting holes of the stator plate. A good description is given in BenBB's Electrical FAQ, the link is in his sig.
  10. Yep, I remember you parallel linkage steering set-up, still waiting for that drawing though... MonkeyBoy, I have absolutely nothing against anyones LT a-arms, but I'm enough of an engineer to recognise the limitations of the stock frame, as I'm sure you do as well.
  11. To eliminate bumpsteer, both the centre points of the arc and the radius of the arc travelled by the tie rod and the wheel must co-incide, through the complete range of suspension travel. This is not possible to achieve on a stock framed banshee due to the location of the a-arm hinge points on the frame. No matter what a-arms you throw at it... This has been discussed in detail many times on this forum, hence Meat's comment. That being said, I would love to have one of those LT set-ups bolted to my frame...If only I could afford it...
  12. Hey Denny, glad to to see you're still alive.!
  13. Who's the idiot now Both plugs definately fire at the same time. One pick-up coil, two tabs on the flywheel... Justin, welcome to the forum, hope you stick around, if you do, you'll soon see who the bullshitters and wannabe legends are... Banshee~, step up to the plate and claim your HQ asshole of the month award
  14. Do it if you like to go slow and annoy people at the same time.
  15. 320's should be a good starting point, maybe need to go a bit bigger still with the clamp-ons.
  16. Here's lonestar's tutorial for their a-arms. Suggested camber & caster settings for diiferent riding conditions are also mentioned.
  17. You don't need it, but I use mine for added safety, the stock coupler is butt ugly though. Use some high temp silicon between the pipe and the silencer and it shouldn't leak.
  18. Never mind, found it thanks. Top of the stock cut port is about 30mm from the deck, so gives about 184Deg of exhaust open duration.
  19. Need to know the stock exhaust duration. Thanks in advance! (Please don't say do a search )
  20. Air leak, also check that the choke tube is in place.
  21. Click here for some interesting reading.
