  1. bansh-eman got his polished stainless kit from fastener guy...and was disappointed in their appearance. They're not show quality polish, no doubt there. But....they are also half the price from an alloyboltz kit...so, pick and choose! If you're just looking for those bolts, hit your local hardware store. Before I bought my whole kit, that's where I got the bolts for my clutch and stator covers...
  2. Ha ha you're wrong....ha ha you're wrong....LOL.... Just playin brother. Yeah, it has freeze protection too.. To quote the site: But does Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant TM protect an alloy engine as well as regular antifreeze? You bet! Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant TM offers excellent alloy protection for Motorcycle engines against corrosion, overheating, & freezing. Engine Ice Hi-Performance Coolant TM is pre-mixed at a 1:1 ratio with de-ionized (DI) water and has a boiling point of 256oF and a freezing point of -26oF. Propylene glycol engine coolants will perform superbly under most operating conditions and will not affect factory warranty coverage. Here's the linky.... http://www.engineice.cc/faq.html
  3. Yep... My buddy has two flywheels laying in his garage with the puller WELDED to the flywheel. My year old motor had to have a puller welded to it. So...I trashed a brand new tool and a year old Ricky Stator flywheel. At this point, I hope the crank isn't fucked up....I'd think about having that checked. That can ruin the party real quickly...
  4. I couldn't agree more....people just don't understand this part of it. What good is the absolute lowest price if you can't get them on the phone before and after the sale....
  5. Sorry...I'm probably going to stir a pot of discussion here, but.... I'm just not a big fan of paying a lot out of pocket for a drag port on a cylinder that already has drag port timings out of the box. Cubs need to be cleaned up, there is no doubt there. I've seen some pretty bad casting flaws... But...you're just not going to get more than a few to 5 HP out of a full on drag port. And no one likes to port Nikasil...so, you're gonna pay 300 to 500 just for that port.... Now....that being said.. It was not a knock against Nate. He builds great bikes/motors, never heard or read a bad word about him. I've got two great people helping me out with my builds, parts, etc. that I respect and trust 100%. But...if that wasn't the case, I'd love to get a motor from Nate and wouldn't hesitate in a second to call him, Cameron at Redline, Dave Moore or K&T.
  6. Yeah...you need all 6 HD springs for one. I was at 85 HP on my 4 mil cub with stock ignition, T5s and stock carbs.... I estimate mid to high 90's once I put 35's, Shearers, Dyna and Nology on it. Never dreamed of running it on only 3HD springs though. I had a stock tranny and good clutch in my 4 mil, but...it didn't shift for shit. I'm going override and lockup on my 10, I learned my lesson.... Once you ride a bike with an override..everything else is a joke...it feels like you gain 20HP with an override, no BS. What kind of cub are you running??
  7. You're not going to get to 65-70 HP on a stock banshee motor with just bolt ons. Unless one of those bolt ons is a bottle with a 30 shot on it...LOL. Don't waste your money on a monoblock (I assume you mean from Vitos.) Get your stockers ported....you can damn near get the same gain with a LOT less invested. When you're ready to steup up...go with a Cheetah or cub, and be prepared to spend a ton (tranny, clutch, swinger, shock, etc....it keeps on going and going)
  8. Not sure...couldn't tell you. But he's big on chrome/billet and the bling factor on his bikes...ALL of them. So, if I had to guess, he got the arm for damn near a steal, if he didn't buy it that way....
  9. Seriously....that's a steal Duner... Free bump and good luck, someone is gonna get a fun little bike for sure!!
  10. Yeah, I think they're a waste on stock or bolt on only bikes. once you get some real porting done...then they're a must. I think once you go "cub" it's pretty much a must along with an override tranny...dunable or std. 91 banshee...what kind of clutch are you running now? I had (still have) jeff's clutch on my old 4 mil on gas...just put all 6 HD springs in...and it worked awesome!! Still using the same clutch in my new 10 mil drag bike....
  11. Without a doubt. He asked me to vouch for a friend of mine that lives in Canada... He shipped out parts before payment, and funny thing is....he said he got paid from CANADA before some of our US friends got him the loot.... That's the kind of people we need here doing business...for sure!! (Plus...those boobies are still mezmerizing....)
  12. Out of respect for my very good friend and guy who is helping me put my motor...make that whole bike together, pretend it's my bike for the time being... He likes bikes low and lengthened....it's his thing.... It's a very, very sharp bike!!
  13. I would leave the domes, put 4 degrees of timing on it...and listen to your motor, check your plugs often.
  14. Get a leak down tester and check. If you've already checked the obvious, coil wires, coil wire ends, new plugs, etc...sounds like a crank seal. Is the tranny fluid low? Tranny fluid is gonna have a different "smell" to it as well when burning.
  15. Even if that 9 was mine....uh...no...LOL. Buddy's bike...his garage. Suwheet looking for sure!!!
  16. There are a ton of people that sell the parts. Asking who is the best price and does the best port work is like asking everyone on here what their favorite food is...you will get a dozen different answers to say the least....that is why no one has answered your post yet. Call a few builders...see IF they answer the phone, how they treat you...and how their prices are. Also, see what they have in stock.... Make the call from there....
  17. I think the Hinson setup is overpriced unless you have a BIG drag motor. The Magnum billet basket Jeff sells is just fine for most apps...if you decide to go with a new basket.
  18. Yeah, I realized that it was SX weekend after Bob and I talked about it. He's got a family thing that weekend...asked if we could move it back. So...no big deal...it's all good.
  19. I've put together my front end and shock with fastener guy's kit. No issues at all so far.
  20. Well boys and girls, sorry to have to do and say this...but does anyone have any objections if we get together on the 4th weekend instead? April 26th to the 29th? Some personal things come up...just can't do that weekend... Is this better for some??
  21. I would say those are average increases.. Certainly, builders can get more out of the OEM cylinders...but then the powerband becomes much narrower and the traits change from a fun all around motor to a top end only drag motor. Not what I think this guy is looking for...
  22. What is a lick start and how can I get me one of those. Better yet, I'll send my girl to the store for it... LOL.. JUST kidding...thought that was funny...I knew what you meant.
  23. Mains can be drilled anywhere from .115 to .130....you're going to be running twice as much alky through the bike as you were gas. You'll also want a power jet installed...it adds more fuel from 1/2 throttle and up!
  24. What is done to YOUR bike?
