Oh god! LMFAO!!! cant wait to see his responce.. RIPPEN -
Chang your oil after every weekend? Wow.. Cant say I have the time, energy, or money to do that and Iam guessing most other don't.. Specialy considering thats pretty uncalled for and overkill... http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=104 Thats the one Jeff offers and I don't think its gonna turn out to be a ticking time bomb like you describe but instead would think that it would help between the 1-2 time oil changes within the season.. I have no problem with what your saying snop... However to say "oh look out and don't run this or this will happen"(basicly) simply isn't accurate.. Allot of guys(not just you) on here latley have been posting info that although true is extreamly vague and overall misleading.. If you would give your account and give specifics I think people would find it much more usefull.. You say your buddy spends as much as he can on all his parts.. Well we all know cheap can have to meanings.. Buying a almn plug for this aplication Iam sorry to say seems more dumb than running a magnet.. If you wanna say that running a almn drain plug with a magnet is asking for trouble fine, but I honestly don't think that the one like I have(METAL) or hell even the one that they sell in RMATV (METAL) is gonna lead to disaterous results.. Otherwise if guys wanna do like you do and change the oil after every weekend or ide or whatever thats fine.. Its just not practical for allot of us when we do have 6-8-10 trip seasons.. In those cases I believe it would be helpfull to have a mag catching some of the NORMAL shavings that float around.. Again, I don't have a problem with your info, I just wish some guys on here would tell the whole situation and let people go from there.. RIPPEN
-
Um, I think the one FAST sells(that I have) is metal.. I think your statement was a bit broad. Sure if you buy a cheap-o and it screws stuff its obviously not worth it but otherwise keeping all that shit outta bearings and such is quite helpfull.. Thats like me runnin around saying no one should use case savers cause I had a billiet one not help, but instead help BUST out the top of my case.. Where as the plastic one Iam sure whould have been good seeing as how it wouldn't have bent and would have taken in the chain.. RIPPEN

I have ran one for several years with no problem and this is the first I have ever heard of such a thing. So the magnet is held on by adheasive? If thats the case and the adheasive did fail how does it get pulled from the metal drain plug? RIPPEN
-
Fast clutch hands down.. If your willing to spend the extra few bucks to not have to worrie about messing with it for a LONG time thats what your after.. I have several hard seasons on mine with no sighs of problems and know allot of bikes that have run them with great results.. They are worth the money imo.. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=34 RIPPEN

Your sig just seemed to be a bit bigger today than I remeberd it so I didn't know if you blew it up for this topic-lol I have had a long week so iam probably just seein shit.. RIPPEN
-
Now that I know we can Iam gonna hit Loco up as soon as he gets back from vaca and have him get on that.. I hope with your sig your trying to make a point also.. Damn thats a big pic.. Anyways I agree with all thats been said, its retarded some of the crap people list. Whats funny is before I seen this thread I was going along and scrolled through Daj's new beaut and was thinking "damn this is a long sig, who is this asshole".. Scroll up and its Dave, iam like WTF.. Start reading it and about fell outta my chair.. Shits super funny.. Like I said, this with be one of Loco's first projects when he returns.. RIPPEN

Thats the thing man, it all varies so damn much.. Hell there are days when I get to the dunes and won't hook for shit, rains for 5 minutes and then I have to much traction-lol.. Dunes to dunes, bikes to bikes, its pretty hard to say.. Been a good thread as now Iam more interested in trying a set of V's in Idaho for shits and giggles.. Who knows maybe I have been missing out-lol.. Iam just to damn broke to have more than one set and like you said when it comes to what I do its obvious I need allot more than the average duner.. Being that I only have the one pair I have always done fine with the starights but like I said after reading all this trying out a set of V's from a friend(if anyone has a set) in idaho maybe interesting... Thanks to all of you who have put down allot of good info as Iam sure this thread will come in handy for allot of guys.. RIPPEN

Help id what type of porting an HP claims
RIPPEN replied to bigredburb's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I agree.. The little bit of time and money it would take to send them off to be checked out may prove to be handy and well worth it... Most everything a banshee engine is about hinges on porting.. Id send them.. Otherwise at a glance they look pretty clean.. RIPPEN -
If your looking just for hardware for like the plastics n stuff I say ace hardware.. I got all stainless allen heads and then some nylon lock nuts for the areas that need the nuts.. May cost a few bucks more but its different and can turn out pretty clean depending on what you go with.. You can kinda see mine in this pic.. RIPPEN

Iam gonna say your probably going to be after something like a set of 35PWK Keihen's.. I have a set-up very similar to what you have but with CPI's and I run 35's.. Also seems like allot of folks with a 4mill dune port run them.. Jeff at fast racing just had a sale(belive its over but may wanna check) on carbs and such.. Id hit him up as he more than likely has them in stock and is good with any questions you may have.. RIPPEN

If your buying those VA's from jeffro I would just ask him while your on the phone what he recomends.. Asking here is like asking what kinda oil to run.. Get a million different answeres and set-ups.. RIPPEN

looking for a reputable shop in so cal
RIPPEN replied to 04chase's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have heard allot of good stuff about McCoy also.. I would call a few shops and go from there.. RIPPEN -
Another one down for straight padel haulers.. I don't have a TON of experience with v paddles so I cant say a whole lot there but I can say the starights dune just fine.. When we do our Idaho trip I cant think of anyone that runs a v paddle in the group and the group is about 30-40 guys most of which are all F.A.S.T. Nutswingers-lol.. I have never had a problem getting where I need to go with straights and I usualy always seem to have plenty of traction(except for this last season Iam needing 9s I think).. Overall though man I bet you will do just fine with either on this one trip or whatever.. In alot of cases its trial and error anyway finding the "PERFECT" paddle selection.. Like I said, biggest thing Iam try to say is starights work just fine for duning.. RIPPEN

VELOCITY ACCELERATORS is what I know them as.. Here they are on Jeffro's site.. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=157 I have them in my bike and I cant say for sure how much I gained as I changed up a few other things at the same time but iam sure they helped.. Jeff said he took a bike and rode it around, put them in, rode it around, and then pulled them and said there was a noticable difference.. Not to mention they are fairly cheap and easy to install.. I would recomend them, but like said above they are for 35s and up.. RIPPEN

HAHAHAHA!! That was GREAT!! Awesome find. Chick was bangin! Shit, I think Iam in love-lol.. RIPPEN

Thats whats weird is I know once the ice gets pretty thick its safe but I would just never trust it.. I live in a region where ice fishing, snowmobiling ect is normal but just never been confortable going on ice.. As for the sound its just wierd and erie sounding in general.. For those who have never heard it.. There are two bald eagles that we have seen twice out on the lake and have seen foxes every other day.. Today the foxes were crossing and one broke through the ice.. Figured damn it, Iam gonna watch this poor thing drown or freeze.. Shit, thing poped out like nothing.. Pretty cool to see! RIPPEN

I had 35s on my stock stroke agreesive dune port and it was just fine.. You will get'er bro.. Let us know when you stomp that neighbor! RIPPEN

Think what some are(or I have in the past) refering to is say your doing a top end or some shit its nice to talk to a human.. Jeff is good about making sure what you need is what you get.. If you don't mention things you may need he reminds you like gaskets or other parts and pieces.. As far as the boost bottles I doubt Jeff pushes them at all as we all know they don't do a whole lot.. But its also not as though its gonna damge their bike or anything.. People are always buying up crap that won't really help their performance or anything along those lines but people still want it.. If you call up and say is a boost bottle gonna do this or that, Jeff is gonna shoot you right.. Just like he would if you call up asking for 50 over pistions when what you would really need is 20 over.. Kinda crazy.. This thread has turned out to probably be the biggest and best testimonial to Jeff thus far.. Keep up the good work Jeffro RIPPEN

4 mill twister banshee trade for a raptor or a 450
RIPPEN replied to big4mill's topic in Swap and Trade
Not that Jason needs anymore people vouching for him but what the hell..lol Deffinatly a stand up guy, have ridden with him a few times he has helped me and my buddies out of couple times. Good luck to ya bro! RIPPEN -
One more plus for F.A.S.T. is he carries tons of parts.. Makes it handy to have a parts supplier and builder all rolled into one. Click on his link and you can see what all he offers! Otherwise, bump up the compression, timing and some porting and you will have a damn well rounded machine! RIPPEN

We are working on a house right now thats on the lake here in town.. Yesterday the sun was beating down good and I got to hear the ice crack for the first time.. Thats some erie shit, and confirms I wont go on the ice-lol.. All you guys knock yourself out as it does look fun but if I heard that noise while I was out on it(like most of you guys prob have) it would be assholes and elbows getting off that crap-LMAO! RIPPEN
