Good post Dave... When I VERY first got my bike to the dunes I got nailed with not having registration "ON ME".. I had left it back at camp and despite a buddy going back to get it for me I still got the ticket.. He was a clear case for the label of a dickhead cop.. There is ALSO a local cop here that is nothing but a prick and I hate his sorry ass to.. To get nailed for sparkies in the damn desert is 100% retarded.. Hell I didn't even know they were required there and thankfully never got dicked with.. When I was out there I rolled through a check point, told him right away where my registration sticker was and I was on my way, he was cool as shit.. In most cases I have always treated cops with respect and most have replied with respect and fairness.. I think in general allot of cops have a tough job and a thankless one at that.. All you guys making the general "fuck the police" statement kinda crack me up.. I say fuck the dickhead power tripping cops. In general though when it comes down to it when you go to call for their help I doubt you would be saying "fuck the police".. Bottom line man, that really sucks to hear you were getting screwed with.. Nothing kills the fun of a trip faster than that type of shit.. BUT just be thankfull its a fairly minimal fine.. Oh but I will agree its straight up moronic you gotta keep calling, that you have every right to be pissed about! Here at Walden I guess they are gonna start getting crazy about sparkies and noise.. This is VERY similar to the one I had made.. Little different config but overall the same idea.. The freeze plugs or whatever I found didn't work that well.. Had a hard time getting them sealed and they would try to push themselves out.. Also on the valve stem and and guage side this is ok but people NEED to be aware as to not over pressure it. Lead to bigger and badder problems.. Man, everyone needs to chill out a little.. Spam bots are obviously a problem and are gonna get delt with aggresivly. Loco's initial posts were arguably a bit radical but wouldn't have been if it were indeed a bot and well, we all know thats how loco rolls-lol.. I think he then realized it wasn't a straight up spam bot and tried to lighten things up a bit with his referal to Hillclimbers forum.. Thats the way I took it anyway and thats what I thought was funny.. Sorry some of you didn't see it that way. I see what loco is saying in the sense of if this guy is serious about promoting something he should know the proper step to go about it.. Nothings free these days. Bottom line, people need to relax.
