To much, lol.. Um, got the bike for around 4,500, which is way more than I should have spent but it was atleast straight unlike all the rest I seen for the 4,000 range out here.. Then two complete rebuilds and all the stuff in between i figure around 10-11,000.. Everyone on this site will tell you, what you have will become a addiction and after time you will add everything up and be like damn-lol Its worth it though.. Otherwise like you said, if you get it going and just enjoy it a little before you buy anything I think you will find that a good way to go.. Give you a chance to get the feel of things and figure out what kinda riding you really wanna do and what direction you wanna go.. Not to mention it buys you some time to save up the cashola as it does go fast if your doing a exstensive build.. I mentioned before its best to start off on here doing reserch.. I would reserach all of the following and then some.. Hopefully some others will throw some stuff down to thats handy to ready up on.. Research: Strokers.. You mentioned 10mill before.. Thats referencing the extra long stroke of the crank so it will be handy to search and read up on peoples 4mill,7mill,10mill, ect.. Research the different kinds of pipes.. Main two "families" are drag pipes like CPI, Shearer, Rockets, ect and then there are pipes that people use for all sorts of riding like T-5s, T-6s, Paul turners, DMC's, FMF's, ect.. These are only a few of the pipes for the respective "catagories".. Research porting.. Quite possibly the most important mod when it comes to these things reguardless of riding type.. Porting is basicly the heart of the performance and pulls most all other mods together.. This topic like the rest has been covered a MILLION times here so a simple search of "porting" will school you tons. Clutches and trans are a handy thing to know about as well.. Weather you wanna throw in a cheapy clutch or a F.A.S.T. racing clutch kit its been covered exstensivly and reviewed. Lockup clutches are popular in teh higher horsepower machines.. Also there are lots of craft trans and shifting mods that can be done to help with things.. Everything from a shift shaft mod with pancake bearing to a duneable or full overide trans.. That should keep you busy for a while..lol If your wanting more stuff to research Iam sure some of the other guys will post stuff they feel is important or handy to know. Feel free to ask questions as most of the guys here don't mind helping.. However searching is a very good way of getting a good all around knowledge.. Good luck and welcome to HQ RIPPEN

Id really like to do a FI system on it but it will more than likely just be carbed.. I know of a company that basicly specializes in setting up carbs for blow though aps.. If I somehow manage to have the cash though injected would be great but unlikely that I will get that kinda "extra" cash..lol TT though is the ultimate goal, really I just need to get the thing on the road and have a little fun with it. It needs quite a bit of work as it sits right now. Be suprised though on how many people have knocked on my door wanting to know if I wanna sell it, just know I would kick myself in the ass the rest of my life if I did.. dohc, Iam not a huge mustang fan but that car is SHARP!!! Best advise I could give is to wait a couple months as you save money and read up.. I know its hard to wait but in the long run you would be happier with all parts that compliment each other on a set-up thats right to you.. RIPPEN

Oh no, I still got it.. It was my first car given to me from my older brother.. Ill more than likely have it forever-lol.. Its just in a holding patern :ermm: .. Since I bought my banshee it has basicly been chillen.. I have pulled most the front end apart. Just need to get some decent cash flow going and stop spending on other toys.. Since my buddy has taken the motor and trans back I got a hp 383 bb chrysler and another 727 trans for it... Hope to have it twin turboed eventually.. RIPPEN

Here is a short clip of my old "hot rod".. 75 Dart sport with a 440bb.. Buddy and I put our parts together and got this thing running for a summer to beat the hell outta rice boys..lol BTW in this vid its my buddy doing the burnout, motor, trans and tires were his-lol.. RIPPEN

Hope you all have a merry christmas! RIPPEN

Reading through Tyler's accounts it kinda reminds me of when I first met Jeff.. I think its been probably 3-4 years or so now that I have known him and clearly remember the first time ever talking to him. When I was basicly a HQ, and for sure banshee noob I put up a post for recomendations on what direction to go with my motor. He was one of the few to respond.. I knew he had a artical not to long before that ran in Sand sports magazine which actually kinda emphasized(sp) on the fact that Jeff is more geared twards taking care of the "little guys".. Figured I would give this "magazine worthy" builder a call and see more specificaly what he recomeded for what I wanted. I call him up thinking Iam gonna be rushed and have to be straight to the point.. Afterall this guys been in magazines.. Well shit, I think out of the 30 minutes I talked to him maybe 5 was geared directly twards my build..lol He was down to BS quads! I remember thinking damn this dude is way down to earth and we were talking like we had been buddies for years.. Tellin jokes, aking me questions about where I ride and whats its like out here, I was blown away.. In that 30 minutes he didn't push to sell shit, but EVERY question I had asked I got a straight forward answere.. I could go on all night about how since then we have become good friends and tell you all about this time or that.. But obviously thats not all needed..lol The point Iam trying to make is Jeff is one hell of a down to earth guy that really honestly cares about his customers.. There has been times when Jeff didn't return my call right away or did seem a bit short when I talked to him.. But the man runs NON stop and afterall he is human and does have rough days like the rest of us. Otherwise everytime I have been around or talked to Jeff he has proven to be one hell of a good guy. As far as his products, most everybody who has ever bought anything from him knows, you will be satisfied.. When it comes to porting however(imo) it goes to VERY satisfied and obviously I recomend him, as several of my buddies also run his cylinders.. Never would have thought my builder would turn out to be one hell of a good friend. Jeffro, thanks for all your help over the years that you have provided to me and the HQ! Ill have to throw some FBT's your way here sometime soon.. :yelrotflmao: GET BACK TO WORK! Obviously I would have to say Iam a F.A.S.T. nutswinger, if thats what your called for supporting the guy that has supported you over several years.. RIPPEN

The other thread has been up for days taking "entry" pics... You got them you should have posted them.. Otherwise it looks like ya may have missed the bus for now.. Hell I posted a pic moreless to flick loco shit-lol.. Ill save the majority of mine for the next time or somethin.. Otherwise I like most all of them also.. Just be happy with the change period.. Thanks to the guys that put those together. RIPPEN

You will be happy my friend.. Jeff does a healthy dune port that I was very happy with.. Your in good hands.. Although some swear to it, cubs or other aftermarket cylinders are simply not for everyone... Like mentioned above I to have seen some "dune" or "play" ported cylinder bikes that run very well... RIPPEN

Ok straight up what is your opinion?
RIPPEN replied to BlasterKX's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Nothing wrong with waiting on the porting as all the mods listed will still work for that later.... VERY smart idea to figure out what kinda porting you want before pullin the trigger.. Got ya covered.. RIPPEN -
No worries man... Everyone has their opinions, I just felt "gay" was pretty childish.. Like I said though, its all good, everyone has their opinions.. RIPPEN

Awesome man, Iam glad those pics helped a little.. I think if you did it right, the color ideas(especialy the flat) your kickin around would look SICK together! Keep us posted.. Oh and Iam happy to hear Iam not the only one that doesn't think flat is "gay".. Was actually pretty shocked about that, most everyone thats seen my frame loved the flat.. RIPPEN

Its best not to read the majority of comments on youube.. There are mostly haters or morons... RIPPEN

Hey you know which one gets my vote-lol Seriously though mike.. I think I like most all the ones you have done so far.. They are a bit more flashy than what we have had but imo not overdone.. I liked how you have kept them pretty simple and clean.. Good work bro.. Climbr, glad you may get some use outta that pic as well.. RIPPEN

Nah man, unfortunatly it didn't happen this year.. Ended up going to more damn weddings than riding so I didn't get a whole lot of footage.. I got a vid of allot of this years footage in the vid section now.. Otherwise Iam hoping to make it to a few other dune systems this year to get allot more variety.. Iam not gonna put out the next untill I get a few things corrected and improved.. RIPPEN

I just know you don't have any pics of you riding in snow cause your a sally.. Besides, you know how shitty it would be for people to log on and the first thing they see at the top is your stubby ass? Come on, think for the good of the people... :yelrotflmao:  RIPPEN

Best online sites to order parts from?
RIPPEN replied to c zappy r's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
There are several things that F.A.S.T. has over rocky.. Its a small buisness that REALLY cares about your buisness, there to answere your questions if you have any problems, and last he is a site sponsor here on HQ.. Not to mention a hell of a nice guy with a ton of stuff ON HAND.. RIPPEN
