  1. the trinity 2-1 carb has great low end, but you also gain through the middle and top. fattys and ptr mids have more bottom end then the t-5s and come on softer so you don't have as much tire spin. also advance your timing 3-5 degrees.
  2. poor bottom end, motor doesn't rev out very fast. the 2-1 works great with bolt on mods,I love it. it pulls why better than stock carbs, has power from bottom to top.
  3. br8es or b8es there the same heat range and depth, thebr8es is a resister plug. both will work fine. octane boost is not what you want, what is your cylinder psi. check all your connections and use dielectric grease, it ensures a good connection and prevents corrosion
  4. I agree, a crank seal would only effect the right side if your sucking oil, left side you would run lean. I have double o-rings on my exhaust flanges
  5. sounds a little lean to me on the main,i would bump the main up to about 190 or 195. are you loading up off idle the pilot seems about right to me.
  6. dual 35's are going to be better for mid to topend bike, you will get more low end from the single. without porting the dual 35's will be to big.
  7. I run a 38mm off my 250r, I gained top end and it didn't really hurt the bottom. I have all bolt on mods, no porting stock stroke
  8. What pistons do you have... Vitos pistons and 19 cc domes might bump it that high
  9. grey plugs are not good, 280 mains sound to small for winter. I would try 300 and see how they work.
  10. You need to jet those carbs, prejetted carbs are only to get you in the ball park. does it ilde fine, a flat spot on the bottom is probably a to small pilot. how do your plugs look, does it backfire at all at wot...if it does you my need to jet up. did you install new plugs with the new carbs.
  11. klotz r-50 32-1
  12. what are your mods... it sounds lean even for a stock motor. did you clean your carbs and set your float height, what do your plugs look like, is your air cleaner clean and in good shape?
  13. the motor should fit no problem... the 250x motor is way bigger than the cr motor. the rear might bolt right up, and you might have to fab the front mounts. let us know how it fit.
  14. banshees hate water...the stock carbs stick for some reason when they get wet. don't get them wet,get a tors removel kit, get better carbs, get trinity cv intake with single carb. welcome
  15. when you do a compression test, make sure you hold the throttle wide open.the carb slides shouldn't be made of plastic, there usually chromed alloy and if it's missing that's why your running fat. double check compression, 0 psi tells me you have a hole in your piston.
  16. sounds a little lean for your mods...i'm running a 38mm with a 205,3rd clip and a 50 pilot. my motor isn't ported or big bore.
  17. my guess would be the tors...
  18. compared to stock carbs, there is no comparision it has more at the bottom through the top. easier to jet and it looks better. no complaints here...
  19. you need to get a manual... did you adjust the clutch rod, that's in the middle of the clutch assembly. the philips screw and 12mm nut. you need to line up the clutch arm and the arrow on the case where the cable attaches.
  20. more compression and advance the timing 4 degrees will give you more bottom.
  21. did you try to richen up the air screw, also clean the choke circuit on the carbs. and like the other guy said, make sure the bowls are on the right carbs.
  22. sounds like you ran lean and melted the topend...when you rebuild it make sure your crank is stiil good and also replace the crank seals. good luck
  23. banshees and water don't mix...spray the coil and wires with non flammble brake clean, it gets rid of the water.
  24. did you check the tors, and the throttle switch, and the parking brake switch, they all can cause ingition troubles... also make sure your ground is good.
