  1. If you are lucky they will offer you 1k or 1.5k and then if you stop in a week or two later you will see it on the showroom floor for sale for like 3k. Sell it privately or part it out.
  2. The final ratio in the RZ transmission only makes about 1 tooth difference on your front sprocket. So if you have a banshee trans and run a 14 in front, if you drop in an RZ trans it would be about the same as going to a 15 in front. As far as I know only 5th or 6th are different though. Not really sure of that, just something I remember hearing. Also, they use the same engine case, so you can just get an RZ trans and drop it into the banshee cases. - Jared
  3. What your saying is correct, but most small claims courts will give the defendant up to 90 days to pay the fines, which still leaves kiel hangin for up to another 90 days. My sister is a lawyer kiel, next time I am out in cheyenne we can get together and give her a call. She loves cases like this. - Jared
  4. The flame color is determined by the type of fuel used and the temperature it burns at. I would not put anything like that in a banshee. Basically what those systems do is drop spark to 1 or 2 cylinders (on a car engine) so its just pulling in raw fuel and spitting it out the exhaust. Then it sends a spark to a plug which is mounted in the exhaust pipe that ignites the air/fuel mixture comming from the cylinders that dropped spark. Presto! Flamage out your exhaust. An easier way would be to run alcohol/methanol and run it rich to the point its spitting raw fuel out the exhaust and find a way to mount a seperate coil out back, and send spark to your exhaust pipes. I wouldn't recommend this though. There's no telling what it would do to the pressure wave thats going back to your cylinders and what it could fuck up.
  5. I usually get OEM stuff from cascadeinnovations.net. I'm usually ordering parts from them anyway, so I just get random parts that are prone to wearing out or me losing them. Case bolts for random sets of cases I have laying around, idler gear washers and lock rings, those little steel alignment pieces for the side covers and cases and cylinder alignment thingies, clutch cover bolts, clutch cable holders, frame nuts and bolts... blah blah blah. You can get every single part for the banshee from their web site.
  6. Damnit! I knew using that belt sander with 60grit was a bad idea! ::
  7. Just the ol plain jane stockers. Nothing fancy up front. Yet.
  8. Fenders = Gay
  9. Riding at the dunes, building engines, building my own computers. Anything electronic or banshee related keeps me pretty busy. The girlfriend takes up any time I have left after that.
  10. Wanted to say thanks to ohiobanshee. He sent me a seal I was looking for totally free. Wouldn't even let me pay shipping for him. Awesome HQ member! Thanks again!
  11. Yeah, I knew that. I will have to get some nose plugs. LOL! j/k Some of the guys I ride with at KP run it and I give them shit for smelling like a bunch of fruit all the time. All in fun. But seriously, that stuff smells like a bunch of strawberries.
  12. I try, but damnit, when my fat ass rides with guys like kiel its tough to keep ahead of them! I have to build 10's to keep up with some of the 4's around here. lol!
  13. I've always just eye-balled mine. LOL Doesn't make that big of a diff on sand to me, and anyone whos ridden with me knows that the first big jump I hit or rock I smash into is going to tweak everything anyway, so I've never bothered to try and get everything all exact. Eye-ball it and get it close and go ride! haha!
  14. I have a boss sprocket hub out back, lsr brake hub, and boss racing outer hubs on my black bike. Love the design of them. I have no idea where to get them new, I always get a used set of thm off planetsand or ebay.
  15. Castor927 has been good to me so far. I dont mix it until I need it, and if its cold outside I just stop and shake my bike every now and then when I'm out on the dunes. Shake the crap out of the can before I pour it in my tanks. I ride a good couple hours in 10-15degrees and haven't had any problems. Just stop and shake my bike up every now and then to be sure its still mixed. I run the same oil with gas when I run my purge gas or my gas carbs on any of my bikes. I HATE that fruity smell of klotz. Absolutely hate it. Can't stand following bikes around that smell like a perfume factory either. I have to pass them or ride beside them on the dunes cause that shit is nasty.
  16. I agree, I'd get a tracking number out of him and if they don't show up this week I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and with his local authorities for fraudulent business transactions and larceny. I'd call him and tell him plain and simple that hes had enough time to manufacture the goods and get them delivered to you. If they dont show up this week, get the authorities involved. I'd also splatter his bad name all over every web site I could find.
  17. so you have re-sleeved stockers or cheetahs or twister cylinders or what? 75mm bore is getting up there.
  18. K&T built that. It dominated the races around here for a while. Two ported saber 500 cylinders on a set of custom made mattoon cases and a custom made crank.
  19. I'm confused as to what the hell your talking about. There are no seals in the head, and I've never had to use a q-tip to clean anything on my banshee. What the hell is a buff?
  20. 40.02 bob (points finger at rippen laughing)
  21. I keep reading this all over the place, but have to point out that all of the PWK series carbs have a removable inner body thats held in by two star screws that can be switched from carb to carb on the same series/size range carbs. I have a set of 38 PWK airstrykers that I regularly switch from gas to methanol throughout the year. Pop the bowl off and change out the inner body with a gas one and you are good to go. - Jared
  22. Looks like it would be a fun project with some interesting mods to the frame to pull it off. Would be cool to be able to drop in a snowmobile engine though when you want more power.
  23. Overbores won't give you any more power on these particular engines. At least none that you will really notice. A stock bore will feel about the same as the other two you listed. Stroking and porting is where you will see substantial gains with these engines. Chances are its stock like the guy said, or at least comparable to whatever your buddies have done to theirs.
  24. By the time you get sleeves and get someone to put them in and re-match them to your previous porting you will be up there in the $$. Might be better off to get some stockers off ebay that are virgin and get them ported for whatever you're doing. Might look into a set of aftermarket cylinders while you're tearing everything down and looking at options.
