  1. Smoking deal guys, wanted to buy, but already had some on the way!
  2. As Wes stated, if you ask Jim, I'm sure he can answer all your questions. Thats the beauty of paying good money to a good builder.
  3. You're good to go!
  4. I'll ship em out for $60 if you want them. I can take a picture of them tonight and post it if you like.
  5. Could you give us the outcome? Have one on the way.
  6. Just went through this. Dlnoss told me they do not interchange, therefore neither do Pro designs. Had to go to Trinity to get some blanks so my builder could cut them for me. I have a set of 21 or 22's, not sure, but will sell them if you want em. They are in great shape.
  7. It will fit, but you also need the carrier from the 04(or 91 and up).
  8. Well said .
  9. Did you replace the tranny fluid when you got it? After tranny oil breaks down it gets hot real easy. What may be happening is it is actually boiling in your tranny and the pressure has to go somewhere. Have seen this happen a lot. This is not doing your tranny any favors either. Also as mentioned above, make sure both tubes and vents are clear of debri.
  10. It looks like someone started it up and ran it balls out w/o being warmed up, or your machine work is off. Looks like it cold siezed.
  11. From what I am hearing, there is really no difference in flow, therefore really no gain in horsepower. The 3's have a symmetric reed design, meaning the inner and outer reeds are the same. So no worries wether you got the correct ones when it comes time for replacement. Another thing to think about is the 2's have screws in them. Have heard horror stories of these coming loose and detroying an entire top and bottom end. Little dab of yamalube will fix that problem. The downside of the 3's are they snap together. Some guys on PS have complained of them coming apart(but w/no detrimental effects as compared to the 2's). I personally bought the 3's. For what you pay for them, if they won't stay together, the manufacturer better be replaceing them, or coming up w/some sort of solution.
  12. Happy b-day!!!
  13. If you purchased the 404 kit before the stroker crank, how do you plan on matching up port height/timing? You can make stock carbs work, but as Red stated, you are not even going to get close to the power potential out of it. I saw a dyno comparison on one of the reputable builders websites that compared a cub setup w/stock carbs, and one w/34's or 35's, everything else being the same and there was like a 25-30 horse difference. Stock carbs just won't let enough air through.
  14. I have a Trinity plug lock if you want it for $20 shipped. But as Jeff stated, if they are backing out, you have problems. Only time I had a problem, I was fairly new to two strokes so I bought the plug lock. Shortly after, I figured out I was really lean!
  15. Mattw, my email is [email protected]. Your inbox is full by the way.
  16. Good to see you're back!
  17. Yeah, I'm just messin.
  18. From an 04, been sitting in the garage since getting the Elkas.
  19. Even if it is not to exact measurement, just make sure when you hold the carb right side up w/the bowl off, your stopper seats w/o bottoming the float bowl.(if that makes sense to ya, hard to explain.
  20. Need to adjust your float height. Definately why it is leaking.
