  1. Always blow compressed air through those tiny pilot jets, carb cleaner alone 9 times out of 10 will not get the dirt to brake free completely. I would look at our breather tube on your gas cap though, sounds like it may be clogged. And run some air through those pilots!
  2. Paint is actually a chroma base paint from Dupont sprayed from a gun. Used some adhesive promoter and flexible primer to paint the plastics. Materials weren't cheap, we'll see how well it holds up. Should run pretty good. It's a 4 mill stock cyl ported by Patriot. See you guys at Silver Lake, and thanks for the comments!
  3. Here's what I got so far. Going to Silver Lake this weekend to break her in and see what shee can do! Thumbnails are clickable for full size pics.
  4. I looked at this thread, didn't notice the date, and saw too many old schoolers. Thought this thread really stirred up some crazy shit.
  5. Thanks for your help daj. I did a little research and found out there are 4 indeed.
  6. I went to Amsterdam last September.....The "Space Cakes will knock your dick in the dirt!!!!! Eat them, think you need more, six hours later wondering why you're still feeling a little smiley LOL!
  7. Ok, so there are only two altogether. I couldn't understand why the four inside holes are wide enough for the sleeves though? I am assuming if I go home and put them on the two longer inside studs, the jugs will lose their side to side slop.
  8. My bike has been apart since last year and can't remember if the little sleeves that go on the inside long studs on left cylinder go on the right side also. I can only find two, but sold my cyls and may have been stuck in there. When I look at a Microfiche it only shows them on the left cylinder, but cylinder has too much play w/o them.
  9. Prophet, what are you mixing the Supertechniplate at? I have had problems on sticky rings w/a few motors I run it in.
  10. One of the best!!
  11. It looks like you are new around here, but Thread Jacking is not nice No matter how rediculous you think this guys price is, stick to your own advertisement, it already speaks for itself being two years newer and quite a bit cheaper!
  12. My post wasn't meant to bash you, only to encourage you to make the smarter purchase, which it looks like you are. I also have not had problems w/my Trinity head, just cost too much when there is something just as good or better at a better price.
  13. I would strongly encourage you to go no matter what. If for whatever reason they absolutely don't let you ride, you can get in someones vehicle w/your group or something and just get in the dunes. It is beautiful and always fun to watch the other people, drags, extravagent toys.... You may be able to just ride right in w/a group of adults unquestioned. And you may not even have to worry about sneaking in if you are prepared ahead of time w/whatever may be required for you to ride.
  14. Also remember that Trinity domes have a... lets say proprietary design. If you are off riding for a weekend and for whatever reason need different size domes, or an o-ring set, you can't just buy coolhead, or noss domes, or other similar designs that just aren't as popular. And if you ever build a stroker, or just need a custom profile cut, trinity blanks are $40 a piece, and a shop is going to get you for another 70-80 for machine work. I think you can buy a cut set of domes for a stroker that works w/just about all the other removable dome, aftermarket heads for less than the cost of the blanks. I would tell Trinity to get bent on the head, and stick to what you asked them to do. P.S. I run a Trinity head I thought I got a good deal on, I learned the hard way.
  15. Absolutely correct! The cylinders 87 sheerips posted up w/the hogged out intakes would scare the shit out of me! I have some drag ported cylinders by Patriot, and they are not hogged out on the intakes and run real hard.
  16. There's a lil guy that was 13 last year that rides a Banshee(very well I might add) out there very often. He got a tckt last yeat from the DNR. The reasoning I heard was he was too far away from his Father, but that info came to me second hand. Two things that might make a difference w/his situation: His dad has been going there for as long as most of us have been alive.(in your case, 3 times as long) And the kid is known at Silver Lake for being a good rider. I bet just about anyone on here that goes on a semi-regular basis knows who I am talking about. Your best bet if you really want to know is call the DNR or Park info for that area and find out the scoop.
  17. One more thing to think about. Actual legal riding age is 16. If you are fairly decent size, you probably won't even get questioned. But if you are a smaller framed guy, you may wan't to call ahead and ask them what the requirement is for your age. I believe you can take an ATV safety course, and ride w/a parent w/no problems, but you might want to check.
  18. How many times do you guys want to see the price on the pipes?
  19. If you don't try your own cutting, how will you ever learn? And who is "qualified"? They are just plastics. This sight is basically comprised of do it yourselfers who are very proud of their work. I would suggest to anyone to cut away, just don't cut too much at a time, you can always go more.
  20. I believe 24cc is stock.
  21. Don't buy the pro-design. PM dlnoss and get a Noss head. He will give you a discount for being a member, and can answer any question you have about your specific elevation, what fuel to run, etc. And you don't have to change the studs out w/a noss head.
  22. Did you take the pilot jet out and blow air through it, or did you just take the bowls off and spray everthing down?
  23. That is correct. Both need to be adjusted the same.
