  4. i agree with tyler also. it matters if you have them bored very closely. but who knows? i got 215 psi out of 19cc domes when i had mine bored like this. :baseball_bat:

  6. same bike, mechanically speaking. the asethetics are different.
  7. this is a pretty bad deal ***i think*** for high speed long travel applications. the geometry just isnt the best. you end up getting really high shaft speed versus vehicle speeds. no if someone came out with tailing arms or a 4 link id be way more interested. you get the articulation of IRS, with the proper angles of a swingarm. its a preeetty complex subject, and i dont really feel like typing it all.

  9. so, like one big hoop that has the light mounts about even with the top of the radiator? that way it wouldnt block air flow, and you could still use the stem rad mount as a top mount.

  11. i have access to a lathe to make the threaded weld-in bungs, and own a MIG, with access to TIG. welding isnt the issue. but does anyone have any idea of what to use for a 3-4 inch radius bend? i can get hold of a oxy/acet torch at work. since it is a dealership maybe an old steel wheel would work well enough to bend the material?

  14. ive been thinking about this for some time. Ricky stators's baja light bar is 125. bar only. i hap drawn up plans to make my own, but i couldnt find anyone in town to bend up some .750 tubing. everyone wanted an arm and a leg. so much that it was almost reasonable to buy the bar pre-fabbed. however, here are my thoughts on the design if you DIY. copy the RS bar but dont use the stock mounts, hack them off and use 10mm heims for the lower mounts. now replace the shock bolts with longer ones and these would be some solid mounts for sure. for the uppers i was gonna bolt it to the two bolts that hold on the upeer tank shroud plastics. those stock bolts are pretty tiny, so replacing them would be a must. settle for like some 6mm's instead of the '4's.

  16. ya, about an inch, big deal. it helps cure the lack of rake in the frontend, or thats how i see it. stiffness - infinately adjustable preload, and clickers for both directions of travel, need i say more?
  17. the dealer i work for is selling 1000rr's for 8999 OTD. a little of that, a little MIG, and some tube and you have a winner!
  18. upgrade your lines before you redo your pads. supposing your pads are in goond condition. new, well bled brake lines were one of the biggest differences i have ever seen in performance on my bike. notice i said well bled, cause if they arent, you wont notice anything.
  19. porting a 4 stroke head is light years behind porting a two stroke jug in terms of how critical it is to have it, well, perfect. id send the jugs out, you get what you pay for and patience is a virtue my friend.

  21. ive been riding a polaris 800efi everyday now for about two months. no shit, it will wheely down the block with little to zero effort. yes its fast, do i see them pulling any 3.9's, no. not to mention its FUCKING SKETCHY. i hate do drive it, but its part of my job. more body roll than whoopi goldberg and its center of gravity is, im pretty sure higher than the seat height of a new 450. just my .02. Asswhore, about your buddy and the mud thing. show him a banshee hydro-planing 100 yds across water and say, can you polarishit do that?
