  5. knows from experience.
  6. uses candy to attract other gay men.
  7. NYUK had his done, colored. dont remember the process. high gloss black looked trick as fuck. but it was an asphalt drag bike, so it may not be what youre wanting for a trail bike. plus imagine how longh it would take to get those cases to a nice finish. they are cast rough as a cob.
  8. ya, lets see some pics.
  9. you dont wanna take any of the preload out of the shocks. theyw ill bottom like a mofo, as i have experienced. no fun, whatsoever.
  10. raptors are 15.50 inches, eye to eye. banshees are 14.75 inches, eye to eye. id buy if they are cheap, just because you can have them rebuilt for your specs.
  11. i used a lot of kerosene mixed with bees wax to form a paste when machining. its pretty good for alum and brass like you mentioned.
  12. my friend has an '00 or '01 version of that truck with a 6 inch pro comp and hes got 35's with mild rub and very mild trimming. just something to think about...............
  13. wishes he knew proper grammar.
  14. ya, start when the bike is cold, and then take off the rad cap. you can usually tell if its flowing. use your head, dont do this after a few hot laps, and a few cold ones.
  15. yo you better. and your sig is funny. on a sidenote super swamper's maker, interco, is making a dirtbike tire.
  16. ya, maybe. but you do a have a transformer in your avatar......
  17. i second checking your reeds. whether they are stuck open or shut, it will not run properly.
  18. im currently working for a local bike shop with a well stocked service department, and im going to exploit it for their terminals kit. i want to redo mine entire wiring harness. ill have the tools to reuse evrything i have to, and the pieces to use new stuff when i can. but im wondering, what wire should i use. i dont really wanna spend too much using multicolored stuff from the factory (the only parts i need, that we dont stock in bulk). but what colors do i need? i figure since im going to be using it, and have zero intention of selling the shee that i could get by wire 4-5 colors, of say 16 gauge wire probably? i would have to label everything very clearly, but thats no big deal. plus i can rewire for new lighting systems, and remove stuff like tors that i dont need.
  19. yes the lock tab is necessary. i dont know exactly what would happen when you basket leaves it intended position at 8000 rpm, but im sure its unhealthy. and if you external adjustment is threaded all the way in your clutch is probably not adjusted right. but yes it still does need a jam nut on the end of it.
  20. A&S comes to mind.........
  21. i like mine really well so far. rebound is in the stock position, and the compression clicker is 8 clicks in; on stock arms. im probably going to put some more preload in them as well, i just need to remember to bring home a spanner wrench from the shop. i could use a punch/hammer combo, but ill wait for the right tools. i cant wait to tear them down either. after doing my rear, im really pumped about doing my fronts also. new valves and springs should be pretty awesome once its all said and done.
  22. has a creepy avatar picture.
  23. dirtsports kicks ass. lots of good tech atricles on fabrication.
