  1. i dont think you can run drag sand tires on the dirt. but i know if i was going to sand drag id go with some haulers for sure
  2. this thing seems like a pain in the junk. plus when i do the whoops at little sahara my suspension performs better on the gas than off, so if you ride sand id keep it.
  3. get an air chisel with the right attachment, that pound the shit out of anything. then just go at it for a while

  7. not sure if this was posted earlier but youll take a PROPANE torch to the little white spots in your plastic tehy will disappear. now heres the real trick let it cool for a very long time. after id finished my whole bike i went back and touched the spot i very first did, it was hot. so hot i now have my left thumb print engraved into my plastic. works great but becareful
  8. i too am interested in what comes in a jetting kit from say FMF or K&N. is it only enough to put your carbs back to stock or will it cover minor mods, like dual K&N's or a pro-flow

  10. the delivery date of my chrome t-5's is soley controlled by my pocketbook. how ever can i atleast get it broken in with stock pipes. i dont care if it runs like shit, but i need to get those rings set up right so i can run it balls to the wall for the next LS trip.
  11. when you split the case is there anything you have to do to put it back together other than what you did to take it apart, oh and the yamabond. what im saying is, is there anything that is critical to replace?
  12. dont screw around, rebuild it! i thought i had piston slap, but i put it off as engune noise and then three days later my left piston let loose in 6th WOT. cratered the whole topend on that side. but i got trinity cylinders new reeds, new pistons and a new head out of the deal. kinda cool actually
  13. i got a new topend, trinity stage IV portwork and a coolhead with 19cc domes. but ive got stock carbs, reeds and worse pipes. i wasnt expecting all this to come so soon or id have pipes, but shit happens. anyways where should i start, or do i even have to change. im at 1000-1200ft depending on the dunes. its got 200's in right now with a uni filter swap. thanx a bunch guys

  16. im thinking the reed may be getting just a bad seal because it always starts first kick, may not idle first try but always spits and sputters. ok ill tear the topend off, always wanted a reason to do it anywas, and have it dialed a good friend of mine is working at the local stealership, ill have him take it to his machinist. i once heard a rumor that you will never get a truly accurate reading on a two stroke because the reeds will never get a perfect seal like valves will, is that true? yeah i decided on wiseco's a while back when i first thought it needed to be done but that turned out to be the stator. as for the head im gonna have it shaved this summer when im working more cause school will be out. Thanks for the help.
  17. yes, it does it after it warms up, but not as often. no, i have no idea what type of pistons they are, is there any way to tell? I alwaya warm it up properly, however i cant say for the guy who owned it before me. when i do ride it i always let it idle until it is too hot to put my hand directly on the head. can i pull the head and jugs and have them mic'd to see what the clearances are, or do i just need to say, f$$k it and have it redone. I'd rather just drop 250 on a bore job than break a shirt and end up buying a top and bottom end.
  18. is it possible to have piston slap only when the cylinders/pistons are cold? occasionaly when i start my banshee it makes a slapping type sound from the left jug, and i havent been able to figure it out. so, after reading some on what it is and what it can do to your pistons and jugs, i have decided to ask about it before i destroy my motor . motor is all stock except air filter and jetting, i just bought it in oct. so i dont know the last time it was rebuilt, but i do know that it was done with vitos's pistons (unsure of what model), compression is 90/85, any help will be greatly appreciated.
