  1. By larger rider we're talking about 240+ range I imagine right?
  2. Well, the "Larger" riders have more ass to push around and strains the machine a bit more. Since the "larger" rider puts more strain on the machine, he/she might not benifit from a lightend flywheel..if anything the "larger" rider should get a weighted flywheel for more inertia and to help keep his larger ass going and not bogging down in the corners.
  3. Are you talking about the caliper piston seal? Good luck..You might have to buy the whole damn caliper.
  4. O.K. You use yamabond on the case halves make shure the mating surfaces are clean and free of dirt and oil. When you apply the Yamabond, use as little as possible but maintain a good bead..that's the key to getting a good seal. There shoild be no breaks or gaps..As for the seals, you have to buy them..Moose and cometic makes a complete gasket kit for the banshee with everything you need. Unless your running reed spacers, then you'll need to have a total of 6 reed cage gaskets. Do not re-use any of your old seals and gaskets... Your just asking for trouble.
  5. Rad valves are junk for a banshee. You'll be wasting your money.
  6. Did you soak the plates in oil before you installed them? Did you adjust your basket adjustor?
  7. You want to have a little toe out. about 1.5 inch diffrence from the front to rear will be good.
  8. Hmmm.. 300 bones huh? You got some V-force reeds already? There isn't much you can realy do for 300 bucks..I suggest you put that money for maint. and up keep..new brake pads, exhause seals and hangers chain and sprockets..Keep your machine running god.
  9. Note to self..Don't wear 400 dollar sunglasses and wrist watches or anything that you don't want to loose or get damaged for that matter.
  10. Not to burst anybody's bubble, Homosexuality is a tolerated and very common part of Iraqi culture. In fact, I was told by a Kurdish soldier when I asked him about it that by law they cannot f*ck their women unless they are married..but dudes are free game. Oh and I don't remember seeing any Iraqi's flying Airplanes into the twin towers.
  11. Here's my 2 cents on the matter. Ol' bullshit bush should be 100% behind HIS troops doing HIS dirty work. If they beat the shit out of a few fucking rag heads ..So what those fuckers deserve a far greater beating then what they are getting right now. Too many people are dying over there following stupid orders and doing jobs that they don't want to do. I know I was there for a year. And let me say this every one of those rat bastards are up to no good. Bush is selling out his own just to save his ass. That's not a leader to me. That's a coward. Not a single one of the service members should get into ANY trouble..it should all fall on the pres. ass and he should bite the bullet. He started the fucking war in the first place.
  12. I don't know the allen head size, but you can just flip the reeds over...it should be good.
  13. Well, I was a 67t10 and then a 67T10F and then a 15T which is a UH-60 A&L helicopter crewcheif/ mechanic in the army..now I'm a paid loafer on 3 months federal vacation.
  14. The tranny vent lines will run up under your tank and down around the back of the radiator..the radiator lines will run under the tank, back to the res. then back under the tank and behind the rad. as well...shit load of ugly tubing running under there. I suggest getting rid of it.
  15. I've never used an i mpact wrench to remove the fl ywheel nut..and I use red locktite on my shiznit...Put the bike in 6th gear, lock the rear brake and front brake then try to take the nut off. It should budge like that. I use zip ties to lock the front and a cinderblock to lock the rear. It takes some muscle so you got to be a man about it.
  16. Do they have adjustable heim joints? try setting the aft ones in a bit and bring the front ones out, it will give you a bit more clearance...If you don't have adjustable upper A-arm heim joints..then your fucked as you won't be able to adjust the castor angle for the spindle.(Who came up with this terminology?) Oh, you should also be able to A: adjust the res. sitting angle or B: add a shim to the side with the least amount of clearance.
  17. Your best bet would be to run an 8 plate setup with the full hinson treatment plus heavy duty springs. Clutches will burn out..that's what they're made to do. You could try to be a little nicer to it...that is if your REALLY care..or bew like me and beat the shit out of it and replace it when it breaks..Oh an 8 plate kit is real expensive.
  18. Shit like that article is what caused the atv band and crackdown and degradation of the sport more then 10 years ago..It's why the 250r, lt250 & lt500, Tecate 4..That's why they all went bye bye...Now that it's finaly starting back up again..shit's happening all over. Hope it doen't get any worse. That whole article was nothing but a bunch of propaganda..From what I read, it seems the parents don't want to take responsibility for letting their 8 year olds ride a 500cc workhorse around the farm when he should have been riding his LEM caymen 50. That's their own fault.
  19. I don't know what part of Iraq he's talking about..but it shure as hell wasn't the part where I was at.
  20. Have a buddy sit on the bike, then zip tie the spring and get off the bike..you should hasve plenty of play to back the nuts off.
  21. Just go solo. Peeps help, but they ain't needed.
  22. Get the double row bearing carrier..worth it's weight in gold. Stock swing arms are junk..replace that P.O.S. ASAP! Get a honda style round house swing arm..You'll live an extra 10 years from the lack of stress due to your chain staying at the tension you put it at...also your axle will stay straight and it takes me only 2 min. to adjust my chain..instead of 45 or so with a stock arm.
  23. toe in? or toe out?? You might want to get it a 1/2 toe out...cause with 1/2 in toe in, it'll get squrely on you when you land on the jumps. Also set your bottom ball joints as far in as they will go..Trust me..they will bend if they stick out. Adjust the camber from the upper A-arm ball joint. Castor is in the upper a-arm mounting heim joints or what ever yours has on them.
  24. I think mine came with pins..Hmm must be something new.
