  1. Hav you adjusted compression ( "clicker" on resivoir? ) and rebound ( bottom of shock ) to max settings? or adjusted them at all?
  2. I replied in your other thread......send me a PM
  3. I always reccomend a re-valve when you re-spring, especially when you increase rates as much as you need to, but the final decision is up to you. +5" with a stock spring? Ouch! Yes you need a higher rated spring for sure, progressive - no. Send me a PM with your weight and I'll be able to suggest one for you.
  4. Not a bad price, but I'd stay away from the ES3000's from Pro Comp, they ride like shit. Most 3" lifts will consist of the front coil spacers and will require longer shocks. I'm using a Prothane front coil spacer with Ranch RS9000X shocks, works well for me clears 295/75/16's just fine and I can still bring the caster into OEM specs. Good luck.
  5. Nice work smokey! Looks clean and well thought out, great attention to detail.
  6. What type of heims do you use, what sets them apart for said competitor's choice of heims?
  7. Here is the truck I have on order - New Dodge Max Cab ( largest production 4 door truck there is ) 1 ton 4WD Cummins HO http://www.dodge.com/autoshow/mega_cab/gal...5%20CDE&rid=%20
  8. You got it
  9. Rear only, OEM fronts are not serviceable.
  10. Full moon night rides are a blast, typically high 70's to low 80's. We do a few during the summer months.
  11. Actually TCS only charges $300 for a rebuild (re-valve & re-spring) Not $450
  12. http://www.razorbackdesigns is also in Oregon, talk to Kara - she does nice work.
  13. You've bent a shaft, shocks are now junk and it's time to replace them. Probably due to worn a-arm bushings. Those will need to be replaced too.
  14. I've read great sounding things about the GPR's but look out big $$$
  15. Toomey T5 O rings and a touch of antifreeze for lubricity is what I use, they go on with no problem this way. For those with exhaust leak issues at the cyl head, may I suggest using silicone O rings, NOT rubber.
  16. Great info! Tahnks
  17. I have the UPP set up (rollers, slider, and case saver) they all work great, polyeurethane not plastic. I figure anything in there is going to help save the case from potential damage.
  18. This would be 7 clicks of compression, and 9 clicks of rebound just to clarify.
  19. You still need to adjust the chain the same way as with your OEM rear shock.
  20. http://www.clickwhip.com Don is the owner, awesome whips & quick dis-connects, plus many flag options. I have one of his set-ups and have nothing but good things to say about it.
  21. Thanks Matt, those are the ones - They do look impressive, and the idea is great if not overkill, but I'll wait to ride them before I quit bashing Works entirely.
  22. Perhaps I was reading too much into it, I thought he was talking about compression settings? The only way to "soften srping settings" is to change rates. Changing ride height by the pre-load adjuster will change the tie-rod angle slightly, but he has Jansens, not stock arms.
