  1. Led you are watching entirely toooo much MTV.
  2. May want to look into this (I'm guessing where the chain passes over the top of the swing arm), may be time for a new chain slider.
  3. Sag control series shocks from TCS utilize a very light spring rate spring to allow for a decreased ride height with out sacrificing travel, commonly ussed on MX bikes. Todd uses the term "sag" when sugesting ride height / pre-load adjustment as not to confuse the issue because it's in the name of that line of his shocks. Sag is a commonly missued term in the industry. Ever hear of anyone setting sag on the front of their quad? I doubt it, most set ride height.
  4. Do you by any chance have the SCS shocks? If so that is why - terminology guys.
  5. WTF - I'll stirr the pot I have a +4" arm and I dune the ever loving shit out of the thing, jump the shit out of it, do a little bit of hill shooting / drag racing with it too, and love it! I went from a stock length arm to the +4, never ran a shorter than stock arm, and have no desire to do so ....Keep in mind that rear suspension set up has a LOT do do with how well the arm reacts to launching and traction. Those of you who run a shorter arm and still run the stock spring are increasing the wheel rate (less leverage on the arm acting on the spring = smaller motion ratio) The oposite is true for those of you with a longer arm and the stock rear spring (decreased wheel rate due to more leverage on the spring = larger motion ratio) EDIT: Here's my +4
  6. Yes, complete new units front and rear, or re-valved OE rear.
  7. I like to think more in terms of ride height as opposed to sag on a quad. I set ride height with the rider on the bike, full gear, tank full of fuel. MX guys and dirt bike guys like to set sag, for them it's more critical. Personally I like my bike to sit level when I'm on it, not too concerned about setting sag at 30% of the compression travel, cause I'm going to use it all anyhow.
  8. they do but they suck........i've done a couple at the shop........i'd just send it to Todd @ TCS.......you won't be disappointed. Yep, call Todd @ TCS (909) 245-7484 is he payin u to drop his name...........cause i want a cut Why do you think you deserve a cut? Nah, Todd just does good work, uses good springs, and is a nice guy with a small operation. Just tryin' to help a guy out.

  10. With your weight the stock rear shock is under-sprung, you will have a hard time getting it to work / feel how you want with out a re-valve / re-spring. Call Todd @ TCS (909) 245-7484, he'll get you taken care of.
  11. Color is up to you (I'd go silver vein and match the rear myself) Galfer makes excellent stuff, I have their lines, rotors and pads, they work great.
  12. Stock springs will not work, typically the pipes come with the new required springs.
  13. You may also check with them and see who's balljoint they use (I would guess Ricky Stators, they're the best) if so call Ricky Stator and see what they use.
  14. You should not use a "unibit" it will leave a shoulder in the spindle, call Jansen they should be able to tell you what size ream you need.
  15. TM has them on sale right now, did you check their site?
  16. It's done, he is taking it out next weekend for the initial beating.
  17. Try tapping on the bottom stud portion with a brass hammer.
  18. Sounds like "Stan" has some split personality issues to work out too. Sorry man, I couldn't resist
  19. TCS (Total Control Suspension) is located in Lake Elsinore CA, Todd Davis is the owner, and a pretty good friend of mine, he does excellent work at great prices. I have his shocks all the way around on my bike and they are awesome. I think he even has a web site up and running, sorry I don't have the URL
  20. I prefer the more plain, conventional hot rod style billet stuff, got mine from TM Designworks (yes they do billet too) 2 piece, no grooves or lines. Does Stan produce these covers? http://www.tmdesignworks.com
  21. Try calling Chaparral and see what they have to say (800) 841-2960
  22. MX - I doubt it. Drag / dune - yes. Lets see some pictures.
  23. Good looking bike, where about in So Cal do you live?
  24. What sandrail shop? Just curious.
