  1. Durablue OE style.........I know I know, but I have not had one single problem with it.
  2. Stan, I hope you charged those cocksuckers at Levi and arm and a fuckin leg! Those bastards are the Sierra Club's biggest supporter, and donate some xxx million dollars a year to those fuckers - trying to take away our right to ride OHV's on PUBLIC lands, I DO NOT buy / wear Levis! Sorry for the rant, I'll get off of my soap box now....that shit just fires me up
  3. Good info there guys! That was what I was looking for, and I think we all agree on some points, which is good. Anyone want to talk tranny's now? My knowledege in this area is very limmited, but I have heard good things about ATS's stuff..............Boonman?
  4. Sorry if I came off like an ass, wasn't trying to argue with you - just convey my experience I'll be interested to see what Evil & Boonman have to say....
  5. You guys are all wrong , its the gonjulator shim
  6. The above is for a Ford I 'm guessing? The reason for my initial inquiry is that I have some very good friends at Banks, both on a personal and professional level. Be that as it may I know from first hand experience that they perform extensive testing on all their products before their release. My dad has an '01 Dodge 3/4 ton 4WD with the 24V Cummins, I installed their (Banks) complete pkg on his truck, I think it was called the "Power Pack TLC Plus". After installation I took the truck to Banks for a pull on the dyno, it made 403HP / 713LB/FT with their kit. The truck will make 30LBS of boost, and the "otto mind" computer reads signals from the sensors ensuring fail safe operation (over fueling = high EGT's, converter lock up, ect.., then sends those signals to the guages) The truck gets 22 MPG around town, 26 MPG on the highway, and roughly 23MPG pulling a 30' / 11000LB travel trailer. My friend Kevin (the guy who built my banshee engine / swing arm / a arms) used to have a F250 with the 7.3, again full Banks kit, loads of power, no problems (he ended up going with the non-legal "Big Hoss" chip and it would smoke under WOT when loaded) Now he has a 04 Dodge with the HO Cummins, Banks exhaust, 6 gun with speed loader, loads of power (faster than his old 7.3PS) no problems. My other friend Travis (guy with the red Funco sand rail) has a new '04 HD with the D-Max (new LLY engine not the old LB7) It's going to Banks next week for them to finilize the development of the LLY kit. Sorry for rambling andf all the run on sentances, but the point I was getting at is that you can save some $$ with non-Banks power components but the extra $$ you spend with them is cheap insurance in my book. The edge stuff makes big power no doubt, but it's causing issues with injectors in the D-Max, and lift pumps in the Power Strokes 7.3 and 6.0, not to mention outrageous EGT's & GOBBS of smoke, plus they just turn your tranny into a time bomb, unless you've already dropped som coin with ATS, but thats another story...
  7. What parts are unnecessary? I tend to think that they do more product development and testing that any other company out there, plus they work hand in hand with the OE's, software companies during the developmental stages. fast is one thing but reliable is another, not trying to flame here, just looking for some fact and fair opinion.
  8. T5's are good pipes, and for free they're even better, install them, jet thebike, and run 'em.
  9. What don't you guys like about the Banks stuff?
  10. I went to CSMI Convienient Store Management Institute I have an extensive automotive & engineering background.
  11. I beg to differ. What other pipes have you ran?
  12. Not nearly enough! (but it's fun) So in order to pay the bills I do a fair bit of chassis set up and suspension consulting for some local sand rail manufacturers (yeah can you believe it?) on the side which translates into usally working 6 days a week, my wife just finished medical school with her masters in X-Ray technology, now working on the ultra-sound portion. That suff is expensive! and I pay for it all, no financial aid, but she started working 3 weeks ago so I'm one step closer to starting my own business.
  13. Nascar sucks to begin with, so this is fitting.
  14. Research & Development Shop Foreman, Technical Support Specialist for Eibach Springs. I basically get paid to play with other peoples really expensive cars.
  15. Nothing!! I have everyone fooled....
  16. No was not there, I didn't know you were going in time.
  17. I typically don't care to discuss politics, but I feel compelled to post my 2 cents, both of which are FACT Pennie #1 Historically, the stock market does better and the median household income is higher with a republican in the house. Pennie #2 BUSH is the only candidate willing to help preserve public land, and keep it open. Kerry on the other hand would like to minimize public land usage, especially for OHV use.
  18. If you tore it down without the propper tools, your in trouble. The seal head is not servicable, and must be replaced. I'd call TCS (909) 245-7484 or Race Tech (sorry no phopne #) for parts / advise, good luck.
  19. Sounds good, Britt is going to be stylin' El Mirage? you bum! Ifyou would have gone on Sat. I'd meet you there.
  20. Sounds like deltoid, mine is torn right now, healing slowly according to the DR yesterday afternoon. Go get it looked at.
  21. UM Racing makes 2 different versions, and they are strong as hell. http://www.umracing.com
  22. I'm still curious about the size of your front tires, I can't understand how the tires are rubbing the fenders.
  23. Well put Ben, good information there. I just wanted to add that in no way are the TCS shocks a the top of the $$ list, only slightly more than works, and well worth it IMO. On main thing about works that I dis like is that they only use about 4 different spring rate combinations, this makes it hard for them to really build a truly custom or rider matched set, TCS uses our springs only and can choose from about 100 different rate combinations. Get the most you are wiling to spend, and you'll be in good shape.
  24. Nicec bike Wallrat, I'm jealous. Tell us about the $1300 worth of mods, what did you get?
  25. What size tires are on the front? What type of shocks are on the front? Why have you not cut the fenders off yet?
