  1. 2 things, if your chain stretched out in 3 months it is a peice of junk and stay away from that brand, and the other you are probably running it to tight to stretch it that quick. I put a did gold x-ring chain on mine about 5 years ago and it is still not stretched bad.
  2. You need to post a picture of them and someone will identify the pipes, if cpi I would buy new silencers.
  3. The first thing I try is changing the plugs, I always have a new set with me and it is a common problem.
  4. Did the cases have to be split to install and how much did it cost? Are you just talking about a modded shift star.
  5. Sounds to me like your slides might be in the wrong carbs but I can't tell for sure from the picture. The cutout should face the air filters.
  6. You have a very nice shee, but 10 grand is a great offer and I don't think you would get another offer that high. Take the money before he changes his mind.
  7. The main power gain is getting rid of the air box.
  8. I'm running 310 mains with my mods and am on the rich side. Try pulling the choke out and see if it gets worse, if it does your too rich.
  9. Email sent to you about problem with shifter not fitting right and clearing foot pegs.
  10. Unless your chain is stretched there will be enough adjustment.
  11. There is a noticeable difference if you remove the airbox, if you have a 280 now you should be fine with a 300.

  13. On the desert race if you keep your speed up you should be fine, I have never overheated from amount of riding time or distance just low speed riding.
  14. Pull it in gear and start it, I let mine sit for 3 months once and that was the only way to crank it. After that it cranked every time.
  15. Welcome to the hq, I run 40:1 and run 50:1 for years with no problem. Run what your oil suggest on the back of the bottle.

  17. The banshee just don't jump like a new 4 stroke.
  18. Make sure you are not shifting to early, it is a common problem when going from stock to aftermarket pipes.
  19. If it did not shut off you probably don't have a problem.
  20. Usually they will run hot or foul the plugs, but if you have not had a problem you probably wont.
  21. What is your current gearing?
  22. It depends on what mods you have done, but your reeds could be the problem or pilot jets to large. Let us know your mods and jetting along with elevation
  23. They are not a drag pipe, but an all around great pipe for riding and respond well to mods. They are good for the trail riding I do and pull real hard on top end.
  24. The banshee has not been upgraded since the switch from j arms to a arms and the 450 is a product of the 21st century. So if factory is that much better just imagine what aftermarket would be like.
  25. Whatever you can do to the banshee you can do to the 450 and then some since it is about 20 years newer of design.
