  1. sorry about the double post, but what is your elevation? 300 should be more than enough at sea-level...
  2. pull start and get it to idle, then check for air leaks w/carb cleaner spray around the boost bottle, and reeads and check for air leaks....stock pilot or 27.5 should be plenty....
  3. pull start and get it to idle, then check for air leaks w/carb cleaner spray around the boost bottle, and reeads and check for air leaks....stock pilot or 27.5 should be plenty....
  4. do you have any porting? compression? timing? etc? sounds like you would be better off with stock carbs....
  5. I don't know if you have a "cycle gear" near by but they have a great return policy.....buy size 250-350 and return the ones you don't want a month later....full refund. not enough good things to say about them, (no I don't work there) but this weekend I bought some new alpine star boots....tech 3, rode all weekend with them and didn't like them, full refund, so I am buying tech 8 hopefully work out, not to steal your thread.....what kind of jets you need? stock mikuni carbs? should be easy to find,.
  6. I don't think the jetting should change at all, I have done similar swap, with no problems.....
  7. any recommendations on a needle? these carbs are all wrong..... current setup is 45 pilot, 150 main, RO dump tubes and 6fp63 needle..... I plan on starting w/P-6 dump tubes, 280 mains and 45 pilot..... I am at sea-level (Glamis) have "dune/drag" porting T-5 pipes, no air box milled head, 7degrees timing, lightened flywheel....... w/stock carbs I have 27.5 pilot, stock needle, and 310 mains..... thanks
  8. sorry, they are mikuni 34 mm flatslides 389 series I believe and sometimes referred to as TM
  9. I am finally getting around to making these 34mm carbs work, but I need to find the following: P6 dump tubes, and 30 pilots anyone have anything laying around they wanna get rid of? I went to Sudco.com, but they want to sell 4 of everything......that equals a lot of money when you are only starting out, and probably need bigger/smaller stuff in a couple weeks etc. other wise anyone will sell me two of each?
  10. well I made some custom foot pegs.....welded two seets of stock ones together to make wide ones and took them to a chrome shop yesterday, they wanted $140 to chrome them.....what gives? went to two other places one said he couldn't get to them til' november for any price the other said he could do it for $120 is this right? or should I go o Tijuana and try my luck?
  11. I am ready.......anyone else interested in "party" order of stator covers.....I'll even use "my" plastic to make the deal.....otherwiseit's $200 apiece....
  12. well, it's been a few years, but my wife had a warrior, way back and I remember the exhaust valve was always noisy, but so was all the other warriors I heard.....I think the lash was about .016 exh, and .012 intake but I can't re-call just doing maintenance or repairs? I do remember I ended up going hi-compression and installed a "hot-cam" and the lash changed, so it depends on what cam/valve train also.
  13. I just picked up some used 34 mm flatslides-but no throtte cable was included, which one do I need, and where can I get one? and which air filters? I have t-5 pipes
  14. if enough of us want one, maybe someone will give us a "bulk" price? 5 covers = $1000 otherwise.....plus tax shipping, tip etc. I would be willing to pay maybe $150? if someone would put a deal together
  15. 120 is too short, I run 14-41 w/six inch swinger, and I think I cut 3, maybe four links from a 130 chai to fit I had a hard time finding one but found an RK non O-ring chain I think said was rated for 750 cc motorcycles, so should be plenty strong for my "stock" banshee.....
  16. that sounds prettty fatt if youask me-understand all bikes are differnt etc. but my theory is no matter what size mains you run, stock carbs only flow so much air.....I have pretty heavy drag porting, +7 timing shaved head k&n pods at sea level 70 degrees, and I have 330 mains, and am gonna go leaner.....remember lean is mean-hopefully I will be able to afford bigger carbs this winter.
  17. thanks guys, now where to buy it from?>
  18. first set of pipes I ran were P/T mids w/stock silencers.......liked them better than w/P/T silencers, I think they sound better....
  19. I am loking for an intake manifold that I will eventually use 35 pwk air strykewrs-but currently will try 34 pjs- I wanna know who makes the best manifold, and whether you can go from the 34-35? also K&N filters that will fit both sets of carbs. thank you
  20. I bought a desert seat from hi-flite about two years ago, I hated it it was so hard, and at 5' 7" it got in the way of trying to turn the bike, believe it or not I had to go back to stock foam, nothing against HI-Flite they were great to deal with, but I was disappointed in their patterns/colors, seems like they still think it's 1987 or something......I will say that their seat cover was really thick I think it would have lasted quite a long time, but personally I am happier w/stock foam, maybe I didn't break it in I don't know, but it was hard...
  21. good luck, been looking for the same thing, can't find anything cheaper thn 212 shipped......
  22. nobody knows ????????? I also would like a filter that does not melt o nthe pipes...
  23. hey, I am a General Motors master tech of several years (more than I care to admit) what year/motor s-10? if it is anything recent 93? or newer it has a quick release tyoe system at the trans, that you can disconnect, not loseany fluid and reconnect w/out having to bleed it, if the "fellas" at the quickie tune hit the clutch pedal while it was disconnected, then they should buy you a new clutch master cylinder....there is no pump. hope this helps, if you need any more help e-mail me @ [email protected], good luck
  24. I remember the honda had DASA graphics on it, w/ a black guy riding it.....anyone else see this guy?
