4 strokes DO suck and everyone on this site knows that. only thing 4 pokesa re good for is buying one selling the POS motor and transplanting some thing that smokes and makes real power
-
i used to dealw ith PSI pipes back in the mx days/ wasnt too impressed with them either. they were an ok middle range pipe. every pipe has its plusses and minuses.. go trade off my FMF's for a set so i can play around with them

4 mil and 10 mil cranks for sale
camatv replied to tz racin's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
pm about 10 mill -
people that use a phone for the internet are stupid/. "technicians mechanics" whatever thats a crap industry that needs a major make over no matter how you look at it. i worked in the auto repair industry for a long time. i now sell parts and make nearly the same amount of money.. and all i have to do is go to work and clock in. i dont come home smelling like a refinery or pissed cause some dumb ass boss is mad at me OR pissed cause i just worked for 5 bucks an hour on a "warranty" factory repair..

the alky 350 i have runs about 145 psi kicking. alky 421 cub i do is usually around 155 - 165 but i use custom domes, and run around 14-1 to 16-1 ratio

How many HQ members own 4 mill Cub or Serval motors?
camatv replied to WINDYCITYJOHN400's topic in General Banshee Discussion
my current motors 485 cheetah 535 cheetah 350cc welded stock cyl 350cc stock cyl trailport 350cc stock cyl trail port #2 421 stock cyl non welded mystery motor on barney bike sold all my cubs.. so i dont qualify. if your going to bring a new "product" to market. just do what everyone else does put it on ebay you will get every or potential cub, serval cub whatever bore/ stroke combo owners looking at the post. just put drag cub in the listing line.. list the "items" on the for sale area if your a sponsor or promote them here in some way come on now you should know this maaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn -
if you have to wonder what needs to come out to get powdercoated. you shouldnt be powdercoating. if you have to ask why does it matter that the PART is heated to at least 350 most time more like 400 degrees for a period of 10-20 minutes you shouldnt be powdercoating.
-
yeap you can tune and jet all you want if the synch is off you wont get very far adn will pull your hair out. proper vacume synch is worth every penny. around here besides maintenance its the #1 problem i see
-
buy lectrons. sell the carbs you have.. naw you need to tune more BUT a LOT of motors cannot take off with a clean running alky tune they need to be fat on the bottom to work right. or the pipe heats up to much and causes issues.
-
you are adjusting the idle speed and the cable synch. set idle screws ( or idle screws on tors caps) to even idle numbers usually 3-6 on the cage THEN open the throttle just a tad and set the calbe pull to an even pull. you should have a lil slack with the throttle closed. slack is set at teh throttle housing .

make me a real offer then

bump still for sale i'd rather sell as a whole engine instead of parting out right now

i WAS attempting to buy a 825cc cougar but the deal didnt happen ssssooooo not sure if i want to let this go. BUT i think at this point if adeal came a long i might just do it.
-
no look at the pics this is an OUTLAW LSR chassis complete and ready to ride. ( and scare the hell out of the new owner) if i decide to keep it im taking the 421 motor out. its just too much for me anymore. im too old and fartty
-
welp i always miss out huh.. i will probably throw my small bore triple chrome shears on hers for the next dune trip just to see the differnce. i know those pipes will run much better than the cpi's did. the other's im wanting i know the band they produce andits possibly more of what i am looking for on this bike.. almost had a set of slp's but then they sold the whole bike dangit!
-
yup and last time that page was updated was 2003. last i looked at it i figured it was very outdated. guess i'll just call
-
thats really interesting. great info didnt even know anything like that existed... may mean you can run a 7 or 8 ball crank bearing and get the same load capacity of a 10 maxload with less friction??? might have to find a good bearing place and look into this more..
-
think the wife's bike needs some snipers or slp's. like to get a lil more midrange out of it. the cpis hold in so much heat it starts boggin after a few runs.
-
thats cool to know could you ask him about the billet baskets he used to do??
-
crappy billet bowls dont have overflows. i know a guy who can install them andi highly recomend them on any carb. might just save a motor ya never know. hey if the stock bowls fit and work then i say run it obviously and obvious to many many others on here your not really asking a question? your stating an opinion?? im guessing?<>?><>

what the hell ever that means.. this may be another way to consider this? . i do small work out of my shop here at the house. i dont have a retail shop or storefront. i do this because i lost a job and instead of going and working for 10 bucks an hour and have hypertension and about kill myself everyday and come home pissed off at my coworkers or my asshole boss i just do what i can to make a buck here. i need the BEST price i can get. to keep my total price low and reasonable. BUT i will not sacrifice quality UNLESS its a choice of the guy i am doing th work for and only if its something i would choose IF the best quality is not available. if its a flat out crap part i just wont do the job. i dont really care. SOOO i scour ebay and find closeouts, old stock, NOS parts when i can and also purchase new rel;eased items and test the quality to try and find better parts to save myself and my customers money in the long run. i get people in here all the time saying they find bla bla bla on ebay and i dont care if they do i tell them to go buy it pay for it have it shipped to them or here and let THEM deal with all the ordering, tracking, etc that takes time. if i'm not making much or anything at all on parts why should i argue with a customer on where they get their parts or how it gets to me anyways. just a huge waste of time. and matton fits the bill perfectly i can order any day of the week, anytime of the day, using ebay and paypal i trust where my information is going and how i am paying for an item. in dealing with them for a few years now i know what to expect i can ask questions and get responses very quickly and keep my customers happy and still provide a good high quality part at the best price possible. if i was a dealer and i was buying direct from matton and then was seeing the item on ebay for less i'd just buy from them THROUGH ebay OR call and ask them if they could give me a better price point if i order'd a quanity. most times they will do that. manufaturers dont always sell the best price for one single item and that results in distributors to have better pricing from bulk orders anyways call it what you want. when i had a fulltime shop i would ALWAYS call my rep at the distributor center and see what deals were available and if i could get quanity discounts even off of dealer price for items i normally kept in stock anyways. i cannot think of one time they didnt work with me and that kept me going back to them all the time for whatever i needed. BUT now i dont use distributors ( no store front, no overhead, no tax payments on a building or fee's, fines, bills etc)
-
instead of spending 1800+ on something you really dont need and your motor build dosent even require why not buy a round house swingarm and solve the problem you had.. matton cases are necessary for retarded big engines and huge builds that really need them.
