  5. and to think i cannot sell my VERY nice, well built, 1998, have reciepts for the motor work, +3 a-arms, works triple rate fronts, swingarm with round carrier, super reliable its even got pwk's v-force reeds, cool head, welded crank, hinson basket ,ported cylinders, .20 over bore, powdercoated frame nice all around dependable bike for 3800 , i'm told "its just to much in this economy" yea bullshit. you get what you pay for, i hear ever week (and also work on) a LOT of banshee's that are being soild as junk left over parts for 1800-2500 bucks. oh but they are great deals! sucks for you.
  6. most sets on ebay are piced out and i really dont feel like spending 100 bucks+ for a set that i should be able to find locally. also i guess your just not understanding what a sleeper is. any yahoo with black cpi pipes and flat black painted cub/ cheeta/ VITO's is easy to see and NOT a sleeper in my book. its a broke ass build. ah well i'll find a set and really i'm just curious. and i have the ability to play with a set.

  8. i didnt read all the posts but i can tell you this race gas just pisses you off in the long run and makes you want to switch to alky.. 55 gallons of alky here is about 160 bucks. thats a drum..

  10. the spring in the pic of for holding it out of 1st when its in neutral. the ole std neutral transmissions liked to jump into 1st without the spring.
  11. ya know i dont think the reed spacers that are built work worth a shit anyways. i have seen them put inbetween the carb and the reed and i know that makes a huge mismatch inbetween them also if you space the reed OUT it puts the edals in the tighter section of the intake that is the reeds i dont think open up as wide and can smack the top and bottom of the cylinder's/. i dont think enough care is taken to intake, reed matching and making sure they are matched up well. i take time on the cages, reed, intake area and make sure it all flows well with no bumps or flat spots to cause turbulence. doing that usually adds throttle response and definatelly makes more powa overall.. you want the slide as close to the piston as possible that will give you the best throttle response and reaction also feep the fuel/ air charge as short as a n amount of time needed to get to the top of the cylinder and that can help with atomization. if your carbs are smacking the clutch arm you need new intakes most newer intakes are angled and shaped highenough to move the carb up and in the right position.. i am pretty sure the VITO's bullseye are right and the trinity's work right. those are the ones i like the best.

  14. cant sell bike whole so i'm going to try and part out. lsr +4 front end single a-arm frame uses all stock componets, front end chrome ( a-arms, spindles stem,) frame and swingarm red flake powdercoat powder in great shape. full marvins, +14 tyson swingarm no link, rear brake set up jj+a axle and jj+a carrier front cut hubs powder'd to match chassis, triple buff front but wheels are a lil bent on edges, NO REAR paddles, 3500 options stock cut plastics available OR fiberglass front and rear section drag formed, SHEAR inframe custom built big bore small flange pipes with center mount BIG quiet silencers exhaust is around 90 DB or less at idle and very quiet on the run. located in nickerson kansas about 50 minutes from wichita.
  15. cant sell the bike whole so going to part it out. 485cc cheeta top end (NOT A CUB, its a PV cheeta)73mm bore trnity piston with the windows cut in them, one piece head alky dome cut, 250r reeds ( reeds could use replacement benn in there a while now) PV block off's AND trinity powervalves, newer style head shell with gas domes, also included, UPP intakes, MATTOON 8 plate basket, MATTON lockup, R-1 clutch raptor solid plates stagger'd toomey springs/ 20% springs, TYSON lock up cover with solid cover plate, 4 mill~ 115 rod HOTRODS fully welded crank with TZ drive bearing crankworks prepped, and i believe 10 ball bearings throughout ( i cannot rember for sure) 1-5 TYSON N down override, motor is complete and ready to run can come with full ignition if needed and also 41.3/44 packard lectrons if needed motor has been super reliable and super f 3800 OBO NOT looking to part out as of yet IF anyone is interested in the WHOLE turnkey bike its still together. i am looking for a nice truck around 1999 up chevy 2500 LONG bed extemded cab prefer'd. PLEASE no junk shit offer ok.. i have a truck i'm interested in so i'm pretty motivated to sell.

  18. check with chariot i know they are making intakes for the cheeta, not sure how big they go but i know my 41.s are tight in the UPP's i have,. 44's gotta be a squeze
  19. hmm so you want to go faster but just dont want to spend the cash? changing the gearing will just slow it down unless you are trying to go faster on the top and your running down a paved road about a mile at a time. ( then you'd probably just burn it up anyways..)
  20. yup clean ALL that sealer back off and re apply it. the gear needs to go one FIRST then you install the keyway. if you try to install the gear with the key in it pushes against the key and wont go on corectelly.
  21. something inside is screwed. maybe even the drum has moved out of place . and its acting like a shift fork. anyways sell it for scrap and buy a smoker!
  22. modern 450's are RACE bikes they are the most unreliable buckets of shit ever produced. they break all the time the pistons fly out of them the cranks lock up and the valves snap in half on a regular basis and all those parts are stupid expensive. worst case cenareo on a banshee motor COMPLETE rebuild is like 2000 and an average of 500 or so. 4 pokes break EVERYTHING goes to shit. and its in the high thousands to fix. you throw a valve and your looking at around 2000+ they take out the head, piston, crank, cylinder it can even trash a trans and cluthc pack if it gets really bad. SCREW 450's if you buy one LEAVE IT STOCK and buy a pile of pistons and start putting them in they need one every 20 hours. OR like every OTHER weekend of riding it. as far as 250r's fuck those 2 they are just as crappy in my opinion as the 4 strokes yea they are cheaper to build and fun to ride but they are getting so old and outdated parts are gettin discontinued left and right and old shit used parts are going fast PLUS they aren't worth jack shit right now i have watched FULL lonestar race bikes SELL for 2800 bucks. just because its on ebay for 500 dosent mean its going to sell the 450's have made the 250r's absolutely outdated and shit. thats just rediculous. the rappy 700 OR any utlity quad is a great choice for what you want. treat it well and they will last a long time. why not even look into a SXS take all yoru stuff with you AND a fellow disaster buddy.
  23. are the o-rings your putting on the DOMES BLACK in color OR brown? they ABSOULTELY MUST BE viton's. they are brown in color. PLUS it sounds to me like your either to LEAN on top end OR using too low octaine fuel, with too much compression if you have poped the head a few times its most likely warped and the domes are damaged also..
