Just a note, your other piston was lean to and detonating. If you look at the picture it was starting to melt

I recommend pulling the bottom end apart and getting any metal that could be in there out. But if you dont want to do that and metal debris will tear crank bearings apart being noted: Take your stator cover off and with the engine in neutral try to work the crank free. find the piece of metal thats stopping the crank from turning, and then wash the crank case out with kerosene 3 or 4 times.

Wish I woulda seen this earlier....I'm surprised your parking brake still works GET RID OF IT, ITS WORTHLESS!!

what kind of dirt is it? Do you encounter mud? How are the holeshots grabbing on the dirt right now? I know the holeshots I have (xct's), as soon as I wore the edges off them, all they want to do is spin. The more power I give the engine, the more they just want to spin. When I push the throttle, I want it to hook, and they just werent cutting it for me. The mudsharks I've been running have been very good in every single situation I've put them through. They grab good in the snow, coal, sand, mud (especially mudholes they are amazing in), and grab great on dirt as well. They are very controllable. I just went to hatfield-McCoy (woods riding mecca), and the mudsharks did amazing the whole time I was down there, and the first couple days it was muddy as can be, and the last couple days it was dry as could be, so they went through it all. I never got stuck once, and I had good traction everywhere. The only downside to this tire is that it is a 21" tire, and the lugs are pretty soft (dont ride them on the road and they'll last a decent amount of time) My back up tire is a set of 22" realtors, but they are a completely different ballgame
-
I would of just shrugged and the next time I got a chance I would roost them.....I think that they would get the idea then......

Down at Hatfield McCoy: They DO have a bunch of bottom end, I was lugging mine in 4th, 5th and 6th while everyone with their 4strokes were in 2nd and 3rd on the throttle the whole time. Most of the time I wouldnt go past 1/3 throttle. Only time I would really get on it is when I'd lolly gag for a while, hit third and wind through a couple gears and catch right back up. It's a hell of a lot more fun to come ripping into a corner, grabbing a handful of brakes, see that noone is coming the other way and drop the clutch out of the corner up to the next corner and repeat. They were on their 4strokes having to power through corners to keep the power on. I do know what your saying though about someone that rides 4stroke not knowing how or what to expect from a 2stroke

you could actually take a set of stock a-arms, cut the tabs that the balljoints are in and weld in some tubing for heavy duty balljoints and reinforce the suckers and they might actually come out to be a strong a-arm.

I'll meet you at the border with 1000 bucks in cash for it

your definitely gonna have to pull the top end off, but pull the stator off while its in neutral and try wiggling it back and forth and try to free up the crank. If you cant, try taking the top end off and doing it again. I dont recommend it, but if your buddy doesnt want to dump a penny more than he has to into it, you could flush out the bottom end with kerosene if you get the crank free. I'd do it at least 2 or 3 times (your gonna have to pull the engine anyway, its a ton easier) Look real good with a flashlight and make sure you get everything out and put it back together. 250 bucks at a minimum to get her back running again. (maybe a little less depending on what boring costs)

If you run 22's get some 23 inch front tires. It will help out big time. If your shocks are stock you can crank them all the way up to help level the shee out some. Whenever I ran the 22's with stock size front tires I found myself up on the gas tank all the time, and stopping tended to feel a little hairy. With just pipes and a filter lugging 22 inch realtors around was no problem with stock gearing. As a matter of fact, there was this hill climb that the 4strokes and bikes were getting runs at in 3rd and 4th gear and then downshifting halfway up. I pulled up to the bottom of the hill, put it in 2nd, dropped the clutch and went right up the hill. Get some tires with some bite (do a search on here), holeshots as soon as the edges wear off the tread arent worth a damn unless you shorten your swingarm

Only people I'd let ride my shee is someone else that has a banshee and has enough experience to handle a modified one, my close riding buddies, and my father. My girlfriend has to get used to riding hers before she can ride mine and see if she wants more power in hers.

damn dude....you need to get your lithium dose reevaluated......you sound just like my bi polar friend when he stops taking his lithium
-
dont you have another banshee?

If you dont believe in god, then how are you going to believe in satan. There isnt one without the other. The whole religion thing has gotten to much out of hand. Every time I've moved and became a member of a church.....the first thing they do is sit you down and tell you how much you should pledge and that if you dont give at least 10% of your income.....your a bad believer. The whole god created this and that and this and that...99% of the bible is just damn ridiculous and a well written fantasy. Plain and simple.....there was a big bang, an explosion, they've proven it with science by the way the universe is spreading out. What its spreading out into and where its limits are, we arent sure, and what caused the big bang (god in my mind's eye) is unsure. Hell, for all we know all we are is a speck on a petry dish of life. This universe could be a created vacuum pocket in a piece of coal in an indefinitely larger society. Does your bible have answers for these theories as well? Why are there no new testaments handed down from god's word through a ministers hand? I think we're about due for an update. Ah hell with all this BS.....whats gonna happen is gonna happen....I'll just keep roosting till theres nothing left to roost.

I broke my foot the first day of riding down at hatfield-McCoy 2 years ago. We were down there for the whole week. I didnt ride the rest of that day, went to wal-mart that night, got pushed around in the cart by my buddies and got a pair of boots I could lace up really tight, and an ankle brace and medical tape. I rode the rest of the week....sadly to say, not balls to the wall (had to kinda nurse the foot). I caught the edge of a tree ripping through the woods with the outside of my tire the one time riding up in the mountains for a weekend and it slammed my thumb throttle assembly into my thumb breaking it. Rode the rest of the weekend on that and spent 4 weeks in a cast until I cut it off. I've rolled down hills with my quad saving it from going off into ravines, spraining and bruising stuff......you just gotta brush everything off and deal with it later. I go 100% at the moment at all times, theres always time to rest later, which I also do 100% If you had a ball joint come apart, you obviously didnt do a pre trip on your quad. Aint no way in hell I'd take my quad ripping in 6th gear if I didnt know it was sound. When I was down in Hatfield-McCoy this year, after every ride I'd wash the quad down and go over all the bolts, and check the quad over for ANYTHING being loose. My one ball joint had a tiny bit of play the one day down there, and amazingly there was one parts store within an hour of where we were staying, that had a tie rod end for a 70's superbeetle. I've got family to think about as well. I have a baby boy on the way, and a daughter thats been calling me dad since she was 3 months old. I know my limits, I push them a little bit sometimes, but when its safe to do so. and on a side note: I had a 1/4 twist on a 200x that had 12:1 compression (was as fast as a 350x) and that sucker was a mean little shit, definitely scary with the 1/4 turn on it

http://www.nebraskatire.com/atv/atv_home.htm Just got a set from them. The beads arent perfectly round and it had a lot of flashing on the flat part of the bead. Couldnt get it to hold air on regular rims, but I'm gonna grind the flashing down and throw them on my beadlocks and I know they'll hold air. The tires are cheap as can be from there, they arent perfect, but usually the only thing wrong with them is a big flashing area, or the bead isnt perfectly round. But if you have beadlocks, they work fine. I'm gonna order 2 or 3 more sets of realtors from there before they are all gone. You might be able to call them and see where they are getting them if they could get you in touch with the company that is still making them.

I'm guessing its pressurized in the bowls in some sort of way to force more fuel through it. It wouldnt be as accurate as an injector and a computer, but it'll get you down the track very very quickly nonetheless. With what whitey is building, this is something that you'd be able to toy around with out in the dunes, or even in the trails for that matter once it gets more perfected. All those other quads pictured are mainly for going fast in a straight line.

if your not working on it for 3 hours for every hour of riding.......your not riding it hard enough

I drink wawa coffee

thanks man.....I made the jump.....hopefully I'll get somewhere with him as well now. I'm sure that cop will be glad to hear he's ripping off people elsewhere as well.

I got a brand new one that I'm not gonna use 25 + shipping and its yours

my buddies raptor is 75-80 hp on stock suspension. It's an 01 and the tranny went....so when he had it apart he put in a piston, stage 3 cam, really worked valves, etc etc. The thing is still on stock suspension and its very very very scary to ride. At least yamaha decided to do something about that.

the whole turbo sizing thing on here makes me want to rip my hair out. He's got 4 turbos sitting there to put on an engine that he's building as a PROJECT. Once he gets the thing built he can decide if the turbo is to big, or what turbo to use etc. Things you might want to look into in the future are a variable turbo with an adjustable blow off that you can program through the rpm band. 0-5% boost off the line up to 100% down the rpm band. Dont know if you've seen the kit yet but its battery kit for the shee. Would be nice to be running that with a charged battery just in case the whole system starts pulling more than the stator can handle. The one guy on here had the setup cause of all the lights he was running

bought a +4 stroker crank off him, sent him a money order and havent heard from him since. It's been weeks now and no reply. His inbox is full and he's nowhere to be found. Erik Serverson 9211 NE 53rd St Vancouver, WA 98662 Anyone that lives around that area, let me know......I may be making a trip out there to get my money, crank or money's worth out of him. Filing mail fraud against him as soon as I'm done with this post.

twin bearings arent really any better than a single bearing. They last a little bit longer, but once that style bearing gets a little slop in it, its just gonna beat itself to death and theirs nothing you can do. Get a tapered bearing setup. They are meant to take shock better, and if they get a little loose you can tighten them up and get some more wear out of them
