  1. heck, I forget what its called....I believe its in the paint section, or might be in the automotive section, it was like 2 years ago when I used it last.....worked wonders
  2. single carb wont give you any better fuel mileage, and personally I dont feel it'd help that much on the low end, a tuned engine is a tuned engine, regardless. Only thing I see a single carb doing is making it easier and faster to change jetting.
  3. good luck man, I hope he gets what he deserves. I disappeared around here for a good long time with my son being born and all. Give me a pm if you get a chance, we gotta talk about what we were a couple months back
  4. yeah, 2 to 3 hours..... If your running with a bunch of 4 strokes go grab a little 2 gallon gas can and strap it to your back with a back pack (get a back pack with a waist clip) and you'll be able to run just as long as they will. Every time you stop, lighten your load.
  5. I got some burgard +2's that I'm looking to sell, with LSR tie rods
  6. marriage is no excuse to sell your shee....only excuse marriage gives is to buy another one.....for her If the wedding is costing to much.....start selling organs or sperm or blood or something ah....sell it....you've put 8 hours of ride time on it and can still sell it....your not a true banshee rider hell....the day I bought mine I brought it up to my buddies place from the dealer, and it was snowing a tiny little bit...just some flurries really....I remember riding it down the back roads truly breaking it in.....the roads started to get a little wet and I remember powersliding through this long sweeping corner with this big shit eatin grin on my face.....from that day on, i'd give my right leg before I'd sell my shee.
  7. yeah....make sure you get all the dirt and crap off of all the wires that are going to be hanging right above the engine.....thats the easiest place for dirt to hide, and the easiest place for it to come from to fall down into the bottom end. as soon as you get the cylinders off stuff some clean rags around the connecting rods and you should be good to go
  8. for the price it would cost to buy a frame and all the pieces to put on it to make it a decent quad, you could buy the one in the for sale section, part it out, and build it the way you want (which it probably chassis wise is, maybe go with a different front end), and you'd be ahead of the game. All the little parts are gonna add up quick man.
  9. you could always buy from the intake up, its the only thing different. I've seen a couple setups for sale paging through ford truck world.com and bouncing off to other forums from there. Only problem with putting more than 450-475 hp to them is that the lower end starts to want to come apart. I was thinking a pulley, a port job, let it breath, give her a tune, and then spraying her a little bit.....yeah....that should do the job
  10. dude.....ship it out......the best porter around the philly area here is well....probably....me I got a dremel.....bring'em over.....I charge by the weight of the shavings
  11. if you havent done it yet....GO TO WAL-MART. They have a spray on paint stripper that works wonders. Spray it on and wait about 15 minutes and you can basically hold it under the water and the paint comes off. get yourself a small wire brush or even a brillo pad will basically take it off. IT WORKS WONDERS, its not that fumy, and it wont kill your skin if you happen to get it on you by accident (just dont leave it on there for kicks n giggles though)
  12. stock is about 37 hp pipes are a modest 10 cool head with domes 2 reed cages another 2 carbs ....... 2 timing probably about 3 with a bunch of the other mods done air filter another 2 All said and done with a bunch of tweaking and such you should be able to get at least 60 out of the engine (accounting for using cpi's when they hit their hp numbers) I know my LRD's are 9 across the rpm band and a peak of 16 above stock.
  13. best thing I'm learning about them as I read into it more (mainly looking in the lightning sections of forums) is all the motor mods and such that you can do to them. You dont need to do much to get them pushing some serious power. Basically change up the upper and lower blower pulleys, port the blower, put on some headers, throttle body, and intake and you got yourself a little monster. Then comes ideas of putting a stick in it, beef up the rest of the drive train, lowering, bigger sway bars, shocks and springs, bushings, etc etc etc. yeah....I got the bug and I dont even have the truck yet.....probably wont for over a year now that my plans changed a little
  14. yeah, I was thinkin about gettin into doing that eventually actually. I have to keep the vehicle for 1 year I believe it is, and then I can resell it....it'd still be worth a lot more than what I paid probably.
  15. basically what I'm looking for is a 2wd vehicle with a bed that will seat 4 (the woman and my 2 kids) that is fast as shit.....the '02-'03 hd pretty much fits that bill. Cant think of any others out there that do... Yeah I was gonna get a f350 quad cab 8ft bed diesel with a couple options like the built in electric brake, heated mirrors power windows and locks and basically the rest is simple, vinyl floor, vinyl seats etc. I was looking at 32 out the door after taxes and everything, with it being completely basic with the diesel and automatic trans I could get it out the door for under 30 But yeah....I'm lookin for a good HD....the dealer is looking at auctions for me to try to find a steal for me, and I'm almost kind of thinking about waiting to pick one up. Gonna sell the dakota and spend 3 to 4 grand on a cherokee to build as an off roading vehicle. Drive that around for a year and keep my little beater s-10 and then after a year of putting away payments, having the extra cash from the dakota accumulating, and my tax returns and tip money from christmas, I think I'm gonna really look online here for someone that really took care of it that needs to get rid of it. Kind of a low miles, well taken care of type person...not a daily driver that was beat on. If I gotta fly somewhere to pick it up and drive it back....that'd be kinda cool too.
  16. If I really got into it, I could do some pricing, but my father in law is a senior master mechanic for ford......I can get one for less than what a dealership pays for one.....I think its 2% more than what it costs to make the thing + shipping etc.
  17. Can I bring a set of realtors when I finally get my engine back together? My crank money keeps going to diapers I gotta ebay all this extra banshee crap I got laying around here and get this thing rolling on its own again
  18. to basically build an engine from scratch you are going to get reamed up the ass. There are a ton of little parts that you dont think about in the bottom end. I mean, its not a shitload, but for the most part its oem type washers and bolts and all that good stuff. Buy one of the ones off nyuk, he's fair with his pricing, you'll be getting what he says it is, and all in all you'll have a good transaction. If you wanna do a top end, maybe some porting in there etc etc, go with the one with the blown top end. If you wanna just drop one in.....go with the one thats running.....its up to you
  19. Thats 2 small of a truck to have as my tow truck. I did my fair show of towing these last 3 years with my little dakota (surprising at how well it did with a 20 ft enclosed loaded to the brim with 4wheelers and cargo, banshee in the bed with other junk, and 4 grown men in a little extended cab, pulling it into the mountains of WV. It someone else's turn to tug some weight for a while, and when its my turn again I'll be looking at getting a nice stretched out superduty. And that 4x4 Lariet with all the options will run me less than 30 grand out the door.
  20. frame itself used you could get for around a grand, they run about 1500 to 1800 new. I know of complete chassis that LRD? used to make or maybe someone else that was everything except wiring, lights, engine, plastic and wheels, handlebars, etc. for 5200. And that was all brand new stuff. This guys has a long travel front end on it though. What would you sell it for minus the plastic, engine, wiring? Wouldnt be interested in another banshee + some cash would you? I've got 2 banshees, one with a lot more work than the other.....only difference in the sell would be the amount of cash to go with it.
  21. let me know....I'm looking for a solid +4 crank in the next month or so
  22. you have the exact truck I want man. The same interior (02's had the different stitching), same color and everything. Sweet truck. I figure I only use my 4wd for the most part when it snows, which is 3 or 4 times a year. So for my main vehicle I want something 2wd that is quick and then I'm gonna go looking for a beater cherokee or jeep that I'm gonna lift and use for off roading and use for when it snows. Does your banshee fit in the bed width wise? How many inches is it from side to side? Hopefully my shee will fit with the +2's on it. If not my girls stock width will go in the bed and mine on the trailer
  23. If I could get into the truck I could get all that stuff out of there in about 5-7 minutes. I've never stolen anything, but I know how easy it is to take stereo systems out. Its even easier if you just start busting shit and cutting wires like they did. Hardest thing to get out if its mounted right is the head unit. Everything else is just a tug away from yours. You like those kick panes scott? I had those q-logics in my 85 trans am with 3 way competition component mb quarts. Sounded damn good. Ahhh....I'll build another stereo system again one of these days. Look into getting a digital signal analyzer to time delay all your speakers to create a sound stage. It's like night and day difference. Might also look into getting some components that have silk tweeters. I personally like the sound better that come from them. I would love to somehow find a sub amp thats like 250x4 that will run my subs in stereo......can you say 12's in the kickpanels
  24. the beginning and the end of the pipe look exactly like LRD's. Maybe someone took an adjustable set and welded a piece in the middle?
  25. here's a pic of the rear seats:
