  1. I dont get to ride my shee often anymore, it's either broke or I dont have any time to ride it at all. Every once in a while I'll take it out for a little spin to get my fix and I swear I get a permagrin for hours afterward. The best is when its cold and your not wearing goggles and you hit 4th/5th gear after its warmed up and your eyes start tearing up and your cheeks start hurting from the shit eatin grin on your face. God I gotta sell some of this banshee stuff I got laying around and get my crank.
  2. I bought an all balls bearing kit for when I went to Hatfield -McCoy last year. It lasted one week and its already got play in the bearings. Granted it went through a week from hell.....but its still got play. They are worth what you pay for them definitely though. Just gotta change them out more often
  3. did the sprocket come off the shaft? Have you checked the threads if it did? Mine came off and by the time I realized it (not long considering the problem) my shaft if fubar. Good thing good ol Jim down in WV had a welder and doesnt mind welding a sprocket nut to some hardened steel
  4. Just another retarded parts person at a yamaha dealership. Their seems to be more and more of them every day. you should of said " 200 is the main on a stock banshee carb jackass....can you please get me a parts person that doesnt get manicures.....if you have one"
  5. Run LRDs. More low end grunt than almost any other pipe out there and pull as long up top as T5's. Seriously, I went from stock to LRD's, and never really had a problem with having to use the clutch in really tight woods just messing around and such. Bought my second banshee that had Fatties on it and kept stalling it everywhere and was like wtf? Then I remembered/learned how to "clutch". Needless to say 2 rides later the 2nd shee had LRD's on it as well.
  6. I got a garage I could weld some rocket pipes in....maybe some renegotiating could be in order And things would be done the right way Boy I sure did miss a lot in the last few months
  7. How are things going? Sorry to hear. Good luck and I hope things turn out well
  8. I thought they didnt let 4 pokes at LS? Something about they always kept whining about getting sand in their eyes?
  9. the blem isnt the name on the side not being there. They do that to every tire, they have to, to be able to sell them. It is usually something else that is wrong with them. Like the tread isnt perfectly formed somewhere on the tire, or in my case the bead didnt come out round on the realtors I bought from them. I have beadlocks so it doesnt matter. I wish some other tire company will take on the realtor design. Maybe make it in a 20 in tire as well. They are an awesome tire for coal riding and anything with some mud etc. I got a slice in the sidewall that took 8 tire plugs to fill, it happened about 45 minutes away from camp, and I could still ride hard on the tires all the way back to camp. Hell, I usually only run a pound of air in them anyway.
  10. I just want to know how he gets 80 hp with a pair of fatty's
  11. we're not trying to diss you man, we're just telling it how it is. You're putting your 250R in a class with your pricing of an R that has a lot of (big) work done to it. Mainly chassis components. It sounds like it has a decent motor, but R cranks only last 2-3 top ends before they need to be rebuilt and the cranks not new, and you have fresh bearings and stuff that will keep you from doing a frame up for 2-3 years as well which is a good thing. You just dont have stuff like a-arms, shocks, and all those goodies that would put it up in that price range. The shop up the road from me has a race R, aftermarket frame, gibson long travel arms with elka shocks, worked motor, and lots of other goodies that you could walk away with for 5 grand. To completely freshen everything from crank, to bushings you could have a brand new quad basically for 5500, and thats with a 2 grand front end on it. I've never settled for a price unless I asked 4500 for a quad and only expected to get 3500 out of it. My buddy bought his 330R, basically the same as yours minus the paint and bushings, aftermarket front and rear end for 3500. R's just didnt hold their price after the 4stroke revolution Sell it for what you want, just telling you how it is
  12. I'd buy it off you, I have a Pro650 6 channel amp that I want to run my highs and 8's with and then have an amp to run some 12's......but by the looks of the power wire imputs......the amp is just a little to small for me Definitely a good amp that is way under estimated with the power numbers. You want some good clean power to run 2 12's, its a good amp to do it with
  13. yeah, just rewired my whole house this last weekend.....been trying to get on the computer for a month, ran a long cable down here to the basement, but the signal dropped to much. House is 114 years old now, wiring was quite hairy.....so I ran all new electrical and dropped cable as well, with a nice hardwired cable booster so I got a good strong signal everywhere in the house now. Wife's happy so I can go searching for my crank again now
  14. I'm looking for a good strong stroker crank that will make it through at least one top end guaranteed. A good deal on a new one would be nice as well. I've got this polished ported top end that I've been dying to try out for about 6 months now. And I miss the smell of 2 stroke oil.....I dont even have any grass to weedwack
  15. Yo guys, long time no see. Had to do the whole life thing for a while and get away. Had my boy, William Edgar, on Oct. 27th. Gotta get some pictures scanned of him, he's a brute. 7lbs 13 oz's and 20 inches at birth. He's turning 3 months next thursday and he's weighing in at almost 15lbs now. So anything new going on around here since last August?
  16. get me some pics posted of the s-10.....not really interested in the drivetrain anyway.....4.3 is about 1.4 litres short anyway
  17. they vibrate a lot because they are a single cylinder 500.....what do you expect. They are quick as shit, and sound incredibly mean........when they run. They like to come apart, but thats what you get when you have a crazy ass engine in a 4wheeler built by suzuki Oh yeah.....expect to pay an arm and a leg for parts when it breaks
  18. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday man. Know your not around here much anymore, but I've learned a lot from your postings. I'll put down a guiness or two for you
  19. yeah, I like when your cruising through town and some kid goes......yo....that was a BANSHEE, those things are badass. But nothing compares to the feeling of sitting up on top of a mountain at Hatfield-McCoy on a Black trail that's just insane going up it either way.....and a bunch of yokels come up on their 4x4's wondering how the hell you got up there.
  20. how did you pay him again?
  21. my airbox lid is at LEAST 3 jet sizes difference on my box. I usually run 310's and I had 290's in it the one time. Knew it was running lean so I tried throwing my airbox lid on......the thing barely ran it was so fat. It was breaking up and smoking like.....well....a banshee
  22. why dont you go take your cylinders off right now and tell us what is really wrong with the top end?
  23. I've got about 4 hours of helmet cam riding down at Hatfield-McCoy that are on Digital 8 tape, I can put them on vhs, just dont have them to the computer yet (have to get a new firewire), If you can get them to your computer from digital 8 or vhs I can send you the tapes if you'd like.
  24. did you do a compression test to see if you even needed a rebuild?
