interested in new/used 125 bike
trail rider replied to trail rider's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I think they ment lowering the ride height by softening up the spring preload and the forks, which im pretty sure would make the bike sit down lower when you put weight on it. -
interested in new/used 125 bike
trail rider replied to trail rider's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I would buy any brand 125 that I could get a good deal on, new or used, but my top choice would be one of the new 05 yz 125's, they say those are the fastest and lightest 125's ever made so far. but i'd also consider a new cr or kx 125. Wasn't 05 the last year for the kx 125? Its been a long time since I've rode a 125, whats the powerband like on those? I know they dont have much bottom end, but I forgot what the mid/top end was like? is it similar to a piped banshee? -
interested in new/used 125 bike
trail rider replied to trail rider's topic in General Banshee Discussion
yea, people have told me that you can adjust the ride height and stuff so that wouldn't really be a problem. I rode a yz 426 that felt perfect, it had the suspension softened and lowered. -
I'd like to find me a nice used, or possibly new 125 two stroke bike. I mostly ride trails and hill climbs and I also drag and just ride and mess around in the fields. Im not a big guy, just 5'6 and 140lbs, and I think I could handle a 125 pretty good in the trails and stuff, but I've only rode a 125 like one time before. Are 125's pretty simple to work on, as far as engine rebuilding and modifications go? I was thinking maybe of finding one really cheap that needed a rebuild and fixing it up for trail/play riding. As far as modifications go, I would just maybe get a good pipe, reeds, air filter and that would be about it. I would give porting a thought, but i dont know much about it though, does it help a 125 very much? I dont really have a preferred brand when it comes to mx bikes, cause they all seem top notch to me. Anyone have any opinions on what what be a good pick? I'd just like another 2 stroke besides my banshee to ride/play around on and a 125 just seems like a good choice to me.

I think its more of a brinnnnnnnnnnggggg sound
-
I also like rockets, I heard em in one of loco's hill climb videos and I have to say those are the best sounding pipes at WOT that i've ever heard, it really gets ur attention if you've never heard em.
-
I like my bills pipes . I think they sound awesome, but I dont know if it means much since these are the only pipes i've ever used. They got a nice ping to em at idle and a nice ripe sound when you hit the powerband and whind er out, when ever someone else rides it, it makes my spine shiver it sounds so good I'd post a video of em, but i dont know how

could i place a order for a 4x4 grizzly frame with a lift kit and 30 in. mud tires with a 750cc 2 stroke twin in it? and could you mabe stretch out the rear end and put over size racks on it? and push button 4 wheel drive would be sweet. and is it $5,000 for the whole deal?
-
please dont jump on me but, what about the mx bikes? like the 125's and 80's? If im not mistaken, does any of the top 125 class riders even use a 125 or do they all use the 250f's? Its been a while since i've seen a 125 in a supercross event . I know the 250 2 strokes can still hang with the 450's, but less and less riders are usin em.
-
I rode a yz 426 before, think it had a pipe and some other stuff, and that thing flat out hauled ass, first time ever on one, and I know for a fact that my banshee would never beat it in a drag . Felt like i was strapted on a missle or somethin . it would hook up the whole entire time I's on it and pulled like a muther, that first ride gave me more of a rush than on a banshee, but i still would rather have the shee over the 450 dirt bike
-
now thats funny right thur, I dont care who you are
-
bandits work pretty good when you reverse them and cut the row with the diagional knobs out leavin the two other rows in. in hard pack they just cut right through it and in loose loamy type dirt they really hook good, they can make some ruts pretty quick.

trail rider replied to monkeyarms13's topic in General Banshee Discussion
dang thats alot of burger. Lmao, I bet in that last pic your thinkin......"why the hell did I..... " -
Is it hard on the transmission/gears to ride with a slipping clutch? cause here lately when I've been messing around in the field doin dounuts and spinnin around I been catchin neutral sometimes and it kinda seems like the shitfting is getting a little notchy when I would drag race or get on the gass real hard . And once I somehow caught neutral between 3rd and 4th , I think maybe I didn't raise the shifter enough and it caught in between the two gears.

Is world war III starting? what do u think
trail rider replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I think we should get every single one of our guys out from them fuckin countries cause we will never be able to control them or make peace. Those people over there dont know anything but war and fighting and blowing up each other shit. I say just let em keep fighting, as long as they keep it over there, and let em kill each other out -

well, I dont know what to think anymore . If its because of those damn car bombs and shit over in england than I really doubt it, thats just your everyday terriorism But truthfully I say no -
i put one on my shee, it was tight as hell so i had to put it in a vise to work it loose so i could actually kick it. long story short, the bitch was back to rattlin in a week. it dont even bother me anymore

free a-arms powdercoated
trail rider replied to [email protected]'s topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have some lower stock a-arms, (no ball joints) powdercoated candy blue, if you would like a donation -
You should eat him on takeoff, sounds like you have good bottem end, but they say not as much topend with those 2 into 1 pipes. enless your geared fairly high, he could pull past you at the end. I've raced a couple 400's (kfx, EX,) and both the riders are very good, probably better than me, and they stayed rite with my banshee on a drag on both pavement and in a grass field.
-
do those kits come with instructions and everything needed to re-do the clutch? This would be first one and I dont have much of an idea on how to do it. Is it easyier to just take it somewhere and have it done?
-
I would get it. Sounds like a very good deal with all thoses extras and stuff. But remember to try it before u buy it. and try to talk him down on the price, you never know
-
Well, the clutch is really starting to slip in my banshee. It has been for a pretty good while but not enough to worry about or notice. But here lately when I get er on the rode, I can really tell how bad shee's slippin. You cant tell it on take off, but once you hit the powerband the revs just keep climbin, but it feels like your not going as fast as you should . I can be in a mid gear like 3rd or 4th just below the power band, then pin it and slip the clutch a little and it revs rite up but doesn't pull very hard, then when i get up to speed the rpms drop a little, kinda like the clutch just then catches. I know its slipping pretty bad, but does it hurt anything to keep riding it for a while? Its really hard to notice it on the trails and stuff, and I hardly ever ride it or drag on pavement. I plan on getting one of those cheap tusk clutch kits since this is my first one that i'll be replacing (no sense in risking messing up a $100+ kit when I could just get the $30 one ).

starts perfect when cold but hot wont start
trail rider replied to ssjgoku419's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
well, my guess would be time for rebuild. Try checkin ur compression while its cold then ride it around and warm it up to normal riding temp. and check it again. But I've never had to rebuild mine yet, so, could be something else and btw, how many banshee's do you have?
