we painted our cylinders chevy orange and teh head blue theres a pic of them under REpairs and mods section under rebuild time by trail rider

so me and my two brothers pulled the head and cylinders on the shee. everything looked good, except for a lil play in the top bearing/piston/wristpin. how do you tell what size rings to get? the guy who had the shee before us said it was bored over.(forgot what size 0.20 or 0.30 over) should there be a mark like std for standard size, or anything?. cleaned up the cylinders, head, pistons and made them look all pretty. anything else you all reccomend doing while we wait for parts to arrive? also, since we cleaned them up....we decieded to paint the head and cylinders. ford blue head, and chevy orange jugs. it looks f'in awsome!

who cares if one is faster than the other. like alotta ppl have said already, its 95% rider and 5% bike. i ride trail almost ALL the time(hence the name) and im riding a crf150f and i can keep up with some friends of mine riding 400ex's that are wood set up. and they fly through the trails wide f**kin open, but hey im just a good rider and my 0.02 cents on the two choices. i would prefer the 450r because its more trail friendly. bottom end mostly, while the yfz is top end crazy. the yfz is pretty cramped compared to the mighty shee that sits like a sofa. but i've only rode one yfz and it was pretty shitty. torn plastics, dead battery, bent bars, busted a-arm. not to mention once its warmed up the hot ass exhaust, even when its just idling. but then again who cares what i think, just ride em both and pick the one that best suites you for your riding conditions.

what is an explicative? yea you'd figure by now they'd have a better setup for evacuating 4 to 5 million people, instead it just seems like everybody jumps in their car and packs on to the same interstate outta there

Does anybody have a shindy digital tachometer or tiny tach meter from dennis kirk? I was wondering would u need the shindy tachometer that goes all the way up to 20,000 rpm or the tiny tach meter that goes all the way up to 10,000 rpm. Any ways what is the rpm of a stock banshee at wot?

lol, i do that at my school ALL the time...no body knows what im talking about. i'd be like, hey baby (flash shocker sign like somebody would the peace sign) she'd just smile and go on her merry lil way. it gives me my kicks and giggles
-
ok so everything has been kicks and giggles with the shee . runnin fine, jetting almost perfect. so i do a compression test a lil while ago (like last week) left says around 100, and right says around 80. know i know my tester isnt broke cause it was tellin both were around 110psi. the shee has started to not run as strong,i mean it still runs like a raped duck, but it just dont feel that powerful. im gonna do another test on it to get another reading, but i got a question first. does it need to be warm, or not? cause when not warm the pistons arent that tight against the walls right? should i go ahead and pull the head to check for wear on the pistons? ne advice would truely be grateful.

theres a picture of them in rocky mountain atv in the atv accessories where it shows the grills but it doesn't show any headlight rings for sell

i'm having problems with one of my spark plugs, one spark plug is fouled (at least i think it is) and the other side is fine causing it to run on one cylinder but it might be what you all are talking about because the one that is fouled has a tip that keeps loosing but does not spin off all the way while the other looks solid on tight. the one that keeps coming loose, the tip is not solid on top you can see the threads in side of it. is this causing it to jump spark and not fire correctly? there both the same plugs nkg BR8EG

have u never changed a tire before? Do you already have the old tires off because if you dont' its hella hard to get them off we used a little home made device that our dad made back when he had a three wheeler that sits perfectly around the rim and u use a jack and put it under something really heavy say a tractor it breaks the bead off of the rim. if not then u can beat ur brains out forever but to put the tire on your gonna need some pry bars

Anybody play with RC stuff?
trail rider replied to Master of Faster's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I got a HPI Savage, dont drive it much though, needs a pull start. I mostly fly planes now. I have a Avistar 40 with a Tower Hobbies 46 abc in it, got a tuned pipe too, loud as hell . I've also done a little "experimental" porting on the sleve, and so far it keeps runnin better the more i mess with it. And i also got a little Phenoix Sonic low wing, its a 32 sized plane, but i got a 46 in it. -
Hey guys i have a set of old plastics that i'm going to get painted by my cousin( who is a auto body repair man) but i don't know which color to get it painted. My frame is a candy blue. I was thinkin of grey. I had painted these fenders grey before with spray paint but spraypaint doesn't last very long. I thought the grey looked pretty good, but i haven't seen any other colors except blue with the candy blue frame. any opinions would be nice thx

so i was doing donuts in a dried up manure pin and my bro noticed that coolant was shooting out like mad from the overflow hose....(we had been riding pretty hard in the last hour so i knew it was hot neways) he waves me over about that time to tell me it was shooting out. i drive over and BOOM! the lower hose practially blows out two feet behind the rear tiresand all the coolant shoots on to the motor makin steam. looked like the motor blew up .... so long story short, we checked the coolant flow and everything...was fine. water empellor was fine too, filled it with water checked for leaks, none found.... so tell me, was this just a sign of very overheatness? lol

ATVers should petition to kill horses
trail rider replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
dont kill all the horses just yet. I'd like to have something to ride around on instead of walking when all the oil and fuel is gone -
we have a set of bill's pipes on the shee, they were already on there when we got it. they have a nice smooth power band and seem to pull pretty good on top end, they even pull good for trail riding, but thats just my opinion
