I'll Be up there hopefully thursday night. I was wondering if someone could give me some jetting reccomentations for that altitude. Last year i ran a 240 main, stock pilots, and the needle lowered 1 position. The only mods i have are a K&N (no lid) and pro circuit pipes does this sound right????

Got a 2000 Banshee with Pro Circuit Pipes w/ stock silencers. Airbox lid off w/ a K&N. I had a hell of a time jetting it. I got the Main Jets Dialed in, but im not sure what to do with the needle and pilots. The problem im having is it bogs until it almost 3/8 - 1/2 throttle. Then it hits the power band and YOUR OFF like none other. Im wondering if i can do something with jetting or is this just how those pipes perform??? Lastly i run at 6500 FT Colorado Springs, CO Please HELP

My shee only idles on the kick start side cylinder. Both cylinders run, but when you throttle down the other cylinder dies. I changed the plugs and it seemed to help. It only does it when it is at normal operating temp. Im running BR8ES any suggestions

Im trying to talk my friend out of getting the 450. I told him with only a few mods you could be faster than the 450. Is this true????

Try removing the parking brake wires. I had the same problem and it worked for me. Also there is a switch on your thumb throttle. Try disconnecting that too. Just disconnect the harness. Dont cut any wires.

I recently found out that my rear hub on the back of my Banshee was loose. I believe that the bearing is shot on the sprocket side. I plan on replacing both bearings but the guy at my local Yamaha service center told me that the bearings were pressed in? Is this true? I never had very good luck with press fit stuff. My question is this a job i can do or do i need a full blown mechanic shop? Thanks

Ok, I've been away for a wile but im back and ready to jet! Talked to some pro shops around town and they are ALL saying that i need to lean out by 8% for the altitude that i ride at (7200 FT) and also drop the needle down one position. Less air at altitude = less gas, it makes sence.The question i have is what setup you guys at sea level (or low altitude) running at! Stock '00 Shee PC Pipes K&N Filter w/ no lid what do ya say 280 main??? I gotta get the Shee runnin at full power. My buddy thinks banshees are slow machines!!! GOTTA SHOW HIM THE LIGHT!

Ive been running PC pipes on my 00 Banshee and all i changed is the main jet. Im running the pipes and a K&N with an open airbox. The top end is amazing, but the low end sucks. Is this typical of PC pipes or should i move my needles or change out my pilot jets, or both? thanks

Delta force reeds... Do i need to buy the whole reed cage or just the reeds themselves. The reed cage and valves go for about 230 for the shee! Can i get the same results with just the reeds! Thanks

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Im gonna get some BR8ES and a 30 size pilot jet. I can turn the air screws all the way in and all the way out and it doesn't make a bit of a difference. I do wait 20 seconds every 1/2 turn for the settings to take affect. So i will try that this weekend and see what happens. Also, how do i know if my carbs aren't sinked right. ??? Thanks again for all your help. I'll let you guys know what i find out.

Im running the stock pilots and the air screw is 2 turns out. Should i be turning it in or out??? Do i need to change the needle height for the mid range???

Got a 2000 banshee and put some Pro Circuits on with stock silencers and cant get the low end right. It won't even idle. Stats: K&N Filter No Airbox lid Pro Circuits w/ Banshee stock silencers Running around a 320 Main Needles in stock position BR9ES Plugs Running Yamalube 32:1 Running at 6500-7000 feet Top end runs like a spotted ass ape. Wont idle and the mid is slow like a tractor. I suspect at low rpms only one cylinder is firing. the other fades in and out. I think i got a lot going on, wish i could get this damn thing running right so i can go have fun! Please Help!!!
