Nice little goat you got there  Hows the 360 treating you?

Not great on gas, like 10mpg usually, but pretty good power for a smaller truck. its not quite like the other trucks in here but gets the job done so i can save up for a cummins someday.

10mpg, holy that is low  You'll enjoy a Cummins, specially while getting double the fuel mileage

theres a complete running 1994 cummins 12v on sale on craigslist in my area for 2k. it has 175,000 miles on it. id really snatch that up if i had the money. would a cummins engine work well in a short box reg cab half ton? i dont do any SERIOUS pulling. just would like a diesel and think an engine swap would be a good alternative.

As long as you beef up the necessary parts; suspension, driveline, etc then ya it can be done. It's a bit of work to do, as long as you have the time, fabrication skills and money. However the people that have done a reg cab short box Cummins Conversion love it. You get a little, tight turning, low weight truck with good power and good mileage. If you decide to start modding it, they can really haul ass. 2K for a 12 Valve Engine is pretty cheap! 12's are nice if you don't want to spend a lot of money for go fast goodies B) And you don't have to worry about LP and IP problems like the 24 Valves.
